They have this impression that people usually talk down on homosexuality because of religion and that there's a scientific basis to propagate it. If you don't agree with their so called "science of homosexuality", they will blackmail you.

What makes one intelligent is the ability to understand the sharp difference between culture and science, Identifying bad science, bad culture, good science and good culture. Know how bad science can influence good culture and bad culture can influence good science and then work to create a society to works majorly with a combination of good culture and good science like Japan is doing.
If you are over-reliant on science, you will blindly accept bad science. Yes, bad science exist.

Culture and science are two different things, science is a method used in understanding the natural world and solving critical problems in the society while culture is the way people live their lives. Don't make the mistake of thinking that science can be replaced with culture, science can only influence culture, culture remains culture.

The "science of homosexuality" has been able to influence the western culture in accepting homosexuality as a norm. It's normal if other societies do not think that the so called "science of homosexuality" would have any positive impact on their culture, hence its inappropriate to blackmail those societies like China, Russia, Japan, Middle East and most part of Africa who do not want to accept that culture. There's still no logical basis as to why they should accept it rather than "homosexuality is natural". Crossbreeding is also natural then why are you not having sex with chimpanzees?

Then the lecturer offer to buy us drink for all the student that was in class at the school carteen. we all follow the lecturer to the school carteen and grab a drink even when a white boy was insisting not to collect the offer the lecturer was begging him that he had already paid for every body that the boy should just take a drink then my mind return back to Nigeria to those days when I was still doing my bachelor degrees and remember what does witches and demons lecturer did to student. But some of the countries people are quick to compare Nigeria with have more than 300-year headstart over Nigeria.

Comparison is good, but we also need to be realistic.

Today, the pace of change is so fast, and the first movers ie Western countries and now some Asian countries are so far ahead, I don't know how African countries will catch up. The world system, including globalisation, is also not in our favour.

Egypt is struggling badly. South Africa has not progressed much economically. Ghana is on its knees. Most African countries are basket cases.

These days, the more I look at the world in my private moments, the more I fear we may never catch up with the most successful/developed countries in the world.

Our systems and our minset as a people are far removed from what they need to be for us to develop, let alone catch up.

Our population is growing too fast, faster than our economy, which means the country can't even maintain the status quo in terms of standard of living, let alone improving it. Too many of our people are not being educated. Those who think they're educated did not receive the right education.

We have simply not set ourselves up to compete.

Makes me sweat when I think about all these things, as I desperately want the best for the tens of millions of struggling people who need and deserve better.
