Hello guys, I finally arrived Germany this week. I’m really grateful for the pool of knowledge in this platform and special thanks to @MrAAA2 for his guidance and assistance in all ways(na man you be wink), one bottle when I get to your region grin.

For those yet to get visa I pray you all get it as it is lovely here. If you still have time, best bet is you learn the language to some extent before you land.
If you want to make other route, I will advise you take your time to plan it all out as it’s worth it in the end. Most countries require you have your residency at least 3-6 months before you apply.
P.S- I got my visa from UAE.
Danke schön

I’m sure for every international travel you need to present a negative covid result before you can be allowed to board.
For Ghana, you need a negative covid test to travel and also you will be required to do another covid test at point of entry which should cost $50. Without that, you can’t be allowed to enter the country.

ExchangA:

Thank you for your input bro. But I’m asking for a friend who is just traveling to Ghana not for the German visa tho. I want to know of he needs a vaccine or covid test to board a flight.

When he says "I hope it works" he sure know what he is saying,. Using a Nigerian card has put you at a disadvantage as there is international limit of about $100-$200 per month.

Best bet to fund your BA is to make use of of Form A with Sterling Bank, it takes less than a week to process if you have sufficient balance in your naira account. Ignore those banks saying Form A is for school fee and medical bills. I made use of Form A and a friend made use of it this year with no stress. Mine was even done by proxy.

I wish you the best.

Ekessy:

This 'I hope it works for you' dun weak me.

Please, if anyone has gone through transfermate, kindly notify us.

Even at the Zenith bank today, many guys there were like the money is too big to take that risk, which is obvious. Only one guy told me that it will go through once I have a mastercard, daily limit not withstanding and he has seen it. When I asked if it was with transfermate, he said no, it was another third party guys.

I even mailed fintiba to know if some Nigerians have used that in their immediate past record. Waiting for their response though.

My brother, I just had to state the two types of expenses. If the funds is not that much, bed space is what I will advice the person coming to go for.
Also for anyone that wants to consider UAE, kindly do your homework well and make sure your contacts is a sure person because there are so many Fraud in here. Make sure you avoid Pakistanis in all you do.

MrAAA2:

Na big man like you budget be this o. Anyways, let us know how deep is your pocket and what you can spend or flex.
Talk to @Henrycares for big man budget, or talk to me or any other person for honest alternative opinion.

For this you really don't need to get 3 month visa, just 30 days visa is enough for you to get all papers set for your UAE residence permit. For the entire process, I will say you budget around 1.3-1.5M for the residence permit. Accommodation then varies based on your pocket. You can get bed space in Sharjah for around 300-600AED/month while you can get a room in a shared apartment for around 1300-1800AED/month.

Budget a total cost of around 3-4M for your entire stay in UAE.

MrAAA2:

N.B: You stay in any of the Emirates (states) of UAE for 6 months doesn't grant you residence permit.

To get to UAE, you need a 90 days tourist visa that might cost up to 150-200K. You can find flight fees (RETURN/TWO-WAY) for yourself but before lockdown, Airpeace will fly you for about 200k for flexi economy and a few other airlines with stops were a little cheaper.

Upon arrival, you get a sponsor to make your residence permit/Emirates ID and this can be done through employment, 'arranged' employment or freelance/self (which means you're not under any employment or you are a freelancer. The UAE is currently capitalising on the work from home strategy to manage the pandemic by offering people residence permit but are not necessarily working for anyone in the UAE.
In all, your options are limited if you don't have the money, rather, you can just go to any English speaking ECOWAS country, stay there and obtain their permit. UAE will definitely cost you up to 500k for a job seeking option and about 1.2m for freelance.

I will advice you fund your BA as there is no funding source at the moment. If you want to fund your BA, kindly make use of Stelling Bank as the transaction process is swift. Between 2-3 days. Rate as at last transaction for a friend which is today was 550/euro

Ekessy:
Good afternoon everyone.

Please I need an advice on something choking me right now.

I have been waiting for appointment since last year for my Masters study in Germany. I booked for Cat B though.

Few weeks ago I tried to have a go on the PhD application since I have a master's degree already from Nigeria.

I received a letter of Invitation from a supervisor but this is not a scholarship...though he said on arrival, he could help me find a scholarship or something similar.

I applied for appointment this morning and got booked 30minutes later and I have got just 10days.

Now the issue is what is my fate, if I am unable to block in 10days?
Must I block?

Thanks

For you to have a resident permit in the UAE, you must have a job here.

Rennyunit:

Congrats,
What category of residence permit did you use and how can one get it?

Good evening guys, TESTIMONY TIME

I applied for interview date on 4/02/2021 and got a date for 10/02/2021 but I had to cancel the appointment date as I was yet to fund my BA. Then I reapplied on the 18/02/2021 and got a new date for interview which was 23/02/2021.

Questions asked during interview;

1. How will I be funding myself after my BA is exhausted
2. Why do I want to study masters
3. What was I doing after my graduation till now
4. My accommodation plans in Germany.

Got AM on the 22/03/2021 then got visum on 29/03/2021(Today)

P.S; I applied in UAE with a valid residence permit.(There is nothing like category over here)

Thanks to all that shared their success story here to make me motivated and information I got from this thread is invaluable.
@MrAAA2, thanks for your guidance, I really appreciate.
I wish the rest to get AD the very best.

It all depends on when your interview date is, if it’s in 2-3 weeks time, you can make use of Form A with sterling bank.

NwadiNK:
Please if transfer mate doesn't work because of the $100monthly limit. How else can I do the transfer. I'm worried that black market through aboki will be really high.

What other option pls. Should I get a dolar/euro master card?

Travel / Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by henrycare53(m): 6:24pm On Mar 02, 2021
It won't go through as there is international limit of $100 on your naira debit card

NwadiNK:
My question is this..... Has anyone paid through Fintiba transfer mate using a master card to transfer Naira equivalent of 10,332 euro?

Please let me know because I feel it's still the fastest means of transfer.

Answers pls

Travel / Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by henrycare53(m): 11:25am On Mar 02, 2021
The exact amount now is 861x12=10332 euros, with Fintiba's charges total will be 10521 euros. Kindly send with black market's rate immediately you get the details from Fintiba to avoid stories that touch.

NwadiNK:
Well, opening my fintiba account took minimum of 24hrs.... And u have interview on Monday? If u get ur acct details tmor, send the money immediately and u can be sure of getting a confirmation by Friday.... Hopefully.

Another thing I'm still confused with is exact amount to be blocked. I always knew it should be 10,236 euro but lately I started seeing 10,332 euros.... I tried calling the embassy to find out but network has been busy since yesterday.

Secondly, I think u can pay directly through Fintiba pay using ur naira mastercard.... If u go through the bank, I can assure you that in 2 weeks time u haven't gotten any confirmation. Thru bank takes longer time.

Read up fintiba pay fast!!!

Hi, about the blocked account, I would advice you make use of black market rate as time is not on your side. Open with Fintiba and follow necessary instructions.

SammyJenkins:

I booked the appointment last Monday, 22.

Thanks for asking this, I literally don't know how to go about it. How to open, whom to open with, how much to deposit and the docs to present regarding this come next Monday. Any info regarding this will be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi Henry,

There’s no Job in Pfarrkirchen where the European campus is, and I don’t think there’s any at Deggendorf because my friend goes all the way to Munich to work. This is what the European campus students at Pfarrkirchen face so if Job is your primary reason for coming over then you might wanna look at other Universities.

You need to add your Transcripts as you can’t get an admission without to Germany without one.

I have no access to my NL email address sad

For those planning to fund their BA, I made use of Sterling bank and it was successful. Filled the form A on Monday and I got Blocking Confirmation today. Rate as at day of transaction was 489.
Travel / Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by henrycare53(m): 2:32pm On Feb 14, 2021
Not working with Naira card

Saxlord:

Bro.. I'd advise you use Fintiba Transfer Mate.. the chances are slim that'd get blocking account confirmation before your interview.

Can you withdraw your funds and use Fintiba TransferMate?? That's like the only feasible option.

If not.. just go with all necessary banking documents.

You will be favoured.

But the little worries I have now is that my interview date is on 15tth Feb and the bank said they can't guarantee me that it would be ready by 15th which is Monday, I just don't know what to do, can I go for the interview explaining to them that I already funded but haven't gotten a confirmation?
