This is not always true. I am the MA and I did TB test with my spouse and 2 dependents at IOM Ikeja. The certificate was issued and it was when I got home and settled down to read through I noticed mine was abnormal while all my dependents were normal. I was so angry because I do comprehensive check up twice a year and I have never had abnormal chest xray result. I just booked for another TB test at Q-life in VI and the result came out normal. P.S: My advise is go and do a chest xray at a good hospital or lab to confirm before you go redo the test. dduchess90: Hello
He probably will get same results from other centres

Eklektoss: No sir, pls dont get me wrong. i 'm not saying you should request for a change in topic, I only said you, by yourself can stylishly change the topic to suit you. For instance, you have been asked to talk about best vacation spot outside the country, you could say that '' you are not much of a traveler but you could tell her about your experience when you went for vacation in your village and you go ahead. Pls i wont suggest you ask for a change in topic- very risky Thanks once again for the further clarification my dear....choooiiii... na so I for just tell the examiner say change my topic or I change am for you ....infact na -1 i for get....Thanks once again |

amdman: An LOE and all those supporting documentation may not be required for this purpose. State the reason succinctly in the space in the form that asks why she is not accompanying you. If you eventually write an LOE for this or other issue, avoid including all that talk about spirit of honesty. Stay professional. Thanks a lot for your response....infact I bind any and everything that concerns spirit in my brain |

katyamizotta: My spouse was not ready to travel (good job also.) I explained in an LOE and mentioned the company. No issues. I got my passport stamped and sent to me. But I think if wifey is not ready to follow, at least the children should be included in the apllication, because whether they go with you or not, you are going to pay for medicals for them as well as a PCC for your wife, the funds must also allow for all of them, so just include them. Thanks once again, but I am trying to be as honest as possible In my application....since I already know she won't be immigrating cos of her job, if I now include her and the kids and we get it,she and the kids would have to do soft landing to get PR, then when they fail the residency rule of 2/5 yrs,who knows how IRCC would react , they can even consider it misrepresentation....yes... because they want people they issue their PR to actually migrate to Canada, hence the rule....so getting the PR and not migrating can be punitive because they would have taken the slot thereby preventing some other family who actually want to immigrate the chance to do that. Also I believe that getting a visitor visa for she and kids to visit in the interim won't be difficult as they will know that she has a very good job to return to |

Thanks for your response my good friend...if possible I won't mind you sending me a sample of the main contents of your LOE on reason your wife was not immigrating with you since it is exactly the same with me... My plan is to start my letter thus... In the spirit of honesty, transparency and full disclosure, I will like to state the following as reasons why my spouse will not be immigrating with me to Canada at the moment; 1.We considered the challenges of relocating the family in one swoop, with respect to issues like accommodation, schooling, getting acquainted with the new environment and most importantly getting a job 2. She has a better paying job (I will attach copy of her appointment letter, payslips and ID card), and so we agreed that I immigrate first and settle down in Canada, afterwhich I can now sponsor her and the kids to join me in a year or maximum two years. 3. This we are positive will significantly reduce the pressures associated with relocation, and enable my spouse, and most especially the kids have a seamless and stress-free transition to Canada. I thinkit will be difficult for any VO to refuse my application based on these honest submissions |

Bellniki1: IMO, why don't you apply for the whole family? Then your wife and kids could visit or land for a week or two before their medical expires. In this case, you save yourself the stress of sponsoring your spouse later. With that done, she could visit anytime. Thanjs Bellniki1.... Your advise is noted and we'll appreciated |

Meanwhile, why not apply together and when PR comes she can resign.[/quote]Thanks my friend... But the only thing that will make her resign is the knowledge that I am settled over there and earning enough to take care of the family, before she can get a job herself. I am also considering applying for the whole family, and then we will all go for the first time so she and the kids can get their PR card, and then they come back... At least that way they will have the option to join me for the first 3 years, after which the 2years residency rule will kick in. |

ysteph: If you apply alone, just get your response to the question ''why is your spouse not immigrating'' ready. The question comes post ITA. Thankd for the info my friend.... Any ideas on what will be a good enough response to the question I am thinking telling the truth that she has a better job,and we have decided that I go first and and settle down very well, then she can now join me with the kids later. |

Ethelia: The choice is yours, but remember, it will be difficult (time, energy and cost consuming) to sponsor her later. I don't have any other option o... She is not ready or willing to immigrate at the moment because of her job... #fear of the unknown#,and i understand because it is not easy to leave a job that pays more than half a million monthly and with better career prospects. Also the kids are still young, the boy is 4 and the girl is 1,so I think it's better i go alone to better my own career prospects and then we can figure out the rest later |

einsteino: Haba na, this is a public forum, we cant tell who is who here. Mind what you post, it informs the perception these CIC folks have of us. Those who have been requested to appear for Interview by CIC are having a hard time even when they are telling the truth, because they take everything we submit and say with a pinch of salt. If you have questions like this, use a pm.
You may argue that you have a genuine work experience but it doesnt make what you intend doing any less fraudulent, so be cautious. If you end up being among those who get issued ADR and even have their applications sent to special units or called upon for interviews, you may not be able to make a convincing case. Please lets be guided. Our image as Nigerians is our collective responsibility.
I do understand that you may be out of options but you should at least be discrete about it. For me, I wouldnt advise you lie about your experience. Lies are sometimes expensive and difficult to maintain. Lets not forget that our PR and citizenship can be revoked if at anytime it is discovered you lied in the process of your applications, it rarely happens doesnt mean it can't. Since you already have the experience, approach your boss. Tell him you are applying for a Visa, dont state what type of visa. You can even say its a visit visa and you need to show that you work so they know you have something to return to; Its better you lie to your boss sef than to CIC. Thanks for your honest response.... I will give it a try. |

vickyehi: That sounds like a good plan however, note that to continue to maintain her PR status, she must be physically present in canada for 3yrs in the ist 5yr period to be eligible for renewal of pr status or application for citizenship. Thanks for this info...i have finally decided to apply alone after checking that my CRS will be 436 with ielts score of LRSW-8777,and it could even rise to 445 if I perform better in the ielts. So the plan is for my wife to visit with the kids as often as possible, and I am optimistic that they will easily get a visitors visa since she has a good job with an oil firm. Thanks once again |
