IdrisJimoh1:The ICAN packs will suffice, and then practice with past questions of ICAN and acct at least 20 diets and you are good to go |
Good day my fellow nairalanders,i have created this thread so we can rub minds, share ideas and motivate each other as we prepare to become qualified chartered accountants by May 2016. I have 2 papers outstanding namely sfm and cr,and i am reliably informed that in addition to reading the ican study pack i should also practice with Acca past questions and ican past questions for the past 20 diets. Today is Feb 1st,and i have started my serious reading today as early preparation is key and my strategy is to read and form my notes on minimum 1 topic and maximum 3 topics per day so that latest by end of february i will be through with my notes and i will then start solving past questions and revision in the months of March and April I believe with this strategy i will be chartered come may by the grace of God. Please anyone with any other alternative strategy should please share so i can use to access and examine mine, and also any useful materials or tips will be highly welcome |
I have just 2 papers to go.....,sfm and cr and i have not written the exam for the past 2 diets.....but i have made up my mind to write this May 2016 diet and by God's grace,i already see myself as a Chartered Accountant NB pls i need ACCA past questions on their courses related to SFM and CR.....whisper2uzo@yahoo.com |

All officers and men of the Nigeria Customs Service are to make full disclosure of their assets in a new measure put in place to push transparency and compliance with the Rule of Law. The directive on Assets Declaration is contained in a Circular signed by the Comptroller-General of Customs, Col. Hammed Ibrahim Ali (Rtd) and addressed to all Deputy Comptrollers-General, Zonal Coordinators and Customs Area Controllers. All Officers are to comply with the directive within 14 days. According to the Circular, the directive on Assets Declaration is in compliance with “The Bank Employees Declaration of Assets Act Cap B1 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.” Though the Act provides for Asset Declaration by all Bank employees, it also empowers the President to extend its application to other categories of persons. Specifically, Section 12 (1) states that “The provision of this Act shall apply to the Comptroller-General, Deputy Comptroller-General, Assistant Comptroller-General, Chief Collector, Principal Collector and other Officer, Staff or employee of the Nigeria Customs Service as they apply to a Chief Executive or an employee of a Bank”. The Comptroller-General observed that many Officers have not complied with the provisions of the Act over the years, stating that the 14-day ultimatum for compliance will be strictly enforced. |
The attack and looting of Warri Shopping (Shoprite) Mall has taken another dimension as the Delta State Police Command has declared two suspected principal actors in the matter wanted. They are Hon Baro Henry, suspended Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Area and Napoleon Odibu, Chairman, Central Motor park, Effurun. The command has promised a reward of N1 million to whoever that can link it to the hideout of the two suspects. According to Alkali Baba Usman, Commissioner of Police, Delta Command, when the Mall was under attack and patrol team mobilized to the scene, the miscreants on seeing the policemen took to their heels but was able to arrest one Godspower Ijoesgaga. He said the miscreants who damaged and looted various items such as laptops, handsets and others from the mall were hired and let on the mischievous mission by Henry and Odibu who are currently on the run. The police boss said the crisis was allegedly an offshoot of altercation the said Henry had with two Naval men outside the Shopping Mall which led to the recovery of 10 assorted handsets from the suspects before he mentioned the principal actors. ’’The hoodlums after leaving the shopping mall embarked on protest along some streets in Warri, shooting sporadically and in the process, one Afor Emero was hit and killed by stray bullets,’’ Usman stated. Meanwhile, the command has arrested 16 kidnappers, one other suspect,.rescued four, arrested six armed robbers, gunned down one, recovered one pump action, two locally made gun, five cartridges and one vehicle. satelliteDISH:He collected money meant for procurement of arms to fight boko haram when Nigerians were under DURESS |
Lawal-jafaru-isa-1Brigadier General Lawal Jafaru Isa, a former military administrator of Kaduna State was released by the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) after he refunded some of the money he received from the arms deal. The All Progressives Congress chieftain was said to have returned 60 per cent of the money he allegedly collected from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA). “He admitted collecting money from ONSA and he has refunded 60 per cent of the sum credited to him. I think it should be about N100 million,” said the source. “Isa is the only person who has so far refunded money among the political figures who collected funds from ONSA. “We have granted him bail to allow him time to source for the balance.” The Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) had decried the release of Isa, eight hours after he was arrested by the EFCC, alleging that, the Federal Government was not fighting corruption but on a clamp-down mission on PDP leaders. It wondered why its National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, was yet to get such treatment. PDP added that Isa’s release was ordered by the presidency as he was freed “after the EFCC boss” held a meeting at the Presidential villa.

Keke has become a real nuisance to motorists in the city of Warri. On this fateful Monday (6/12/2015), I drove down to Deco road to buy a bicycle for my son and parked very well in front of the shop. After negotiating and agreeing at a price with the seller,I realized I didn't have enough cash,so I went to a bank across the road to use the atm. I finished using the atm and just as I was going back to pay the seller and leave, one Keke rider came from nowhere and did this to my vehicle!!! This is not the first, second or even third time that these Keke riders have done this to my vehicle, and each time they keep begging and I will eventually let them go...but today na today!!! The back light alone costs 14,000,while panel beater and spray painter will also work on the vehicle bring the total estimated cost to about 25,000 Guess what ...the Keke man had the guts to be bringing out 1,500...in his words "oga abeg na only this one I don work since morning"well I had none of that,so I invited the police and his Keke was taken to the station, and he was told to go and look for money. Fast forward to this morning,he came to the station with almost his entire village and started begging me,and telling me all the problems he has had since he was born, and as many as they were they were only able to bring out 7,000. In the end I had to accept it and made up the difference of 18,000 to fix my vehicle...money I never budgeted for...and leave it all in God's hands. Now my question is....for how long are we motorists in warri going to continue like this?...you can hardly ever find a vehicle in warri that has not been dented by a Keke, they are now worse than Okada riders that were banned, and nd they can be very lousy and insultive to motorists when they are dragging the road with you, but immediately they dent your vehicle, they start rolling on the floor begging and expect you to always forgive and let go...as for me...NEVER AGAIN...from now on na hit and pay Share your experiences |
FFK the cocaine sniffer.....did d female ministers complain to you?...did d queen complain to you?...did buhari complain to u?....why cant you sniff ur cocaine in peace and leave Buhari to rule this country as he deems fit |
johnpalmer774:The Constitution did not envisage the kogi scenario and as such did not make any provision for it, so there is no interpretation to be given by the supreme court on the matter.....the AGF and INEC have taken the best and just decision in the issue...INEC has no powers to cancel elections once announced...only the courts can do that..moreover on what grounds does PDP wants the elections to be voided and fresh elections conducted?..if it was PDP candidate that was leading, would they have been callling for fresh elections ...how about if it was one of the candidates of the other smaller parties that died?...would anybody have been calling for fresh elections .. PDP should just shut it and lock their wounds....they should even be ashamed of themselves asking for fresh elections...what was on the ballot paper sef ..APC OR AUDU![]() |
macfarland:mumu.....what was on the ballot paper?....APC or Audu |
Fellow Nairalanders what will you do if you get an alert that N45 million has been erroneously paid into your bank account #behonest |
Children that may end up as leaders or even taken over leadership of the shiite group after their father. Something is going on. This is wickedness of the highest order.
