These are the things pep enjoy at man city, the last coach that had this autonomy was SAF.

He had issues with Toure and Aguero when he newly came, benched both for period of games before yaya finally left, you forgot so soon. Pep wanted to start importing Spanish players in nolito, Jesus and that Barca guy when he newly came to epl but learnt the hard way, from there his player ideal for the league changed which is good. When an intelligent adult don’t want another adult they most times don’t say it directly. Conte didn’t want Costa to leave initially but he insisted on leaving in mid way of the season when the team is on course to win the league.

Even when I said it’s not about finance but freedom to do what you like is what any coach wish for. After Conte won epl he asked for VVD, told the club not to sell Matic and also add a back up DM but they did otherwise, that’s the freedom I’m talking about. Chelsea just came out of turbulence due to Uk sanctions which means we just restarted again, prior to that we won ucl. Liverpool had stable manager in Klopp but don’t have the financial power that city have. Klopp was the only manager capable of challenging pep, even pep know this hence he didn’t mention Liverpool when talking about financial power. I repeat pep is a top coach I like his game play and tactics but his achievement is overrated. If Alonso win Europa league he should be giving the best coach of the season or Ancelotti if they win ucl. 70 percent of man city back room staff are friends to Pep so they do whatever he wants without argument unlike others, that’s a FIFA manager euphoria he is in. Conte would’ve won epl back to back if the Chelsea board backed his momentum after winning the league.

I believe this. Poch is not fit to win the league due to his vulnerable tactics without the ball. One of the reason I like Arteta, his team is very tidy and compact without the ball, if not pep Arteta would’ve won two epl by now.

Pep is a top coach but his achievements are overrated. He is a point and kill coach unlike the rest that their hands are tide and it is not about financial ability but having freedom to do what you want as a coach is bliss.

What do you guys think was it the quality signings e.g Palmer which some claim Poch didn't want or Poch's tactics.

I for one feel if you remove or replace Jackson and Palmer with Havertz and Mount we may have similar amount of goals maybe 75% of it. But the key here is is it Caicedo or Gallagher who helped the team more. If it's Gallagher then credit goes to Poch, if it's Caicedo then the credit belongs to the board that brought him in.

It would be harsh to sack Poch but seeing has he didn't do enough to warrant a renewal, does his staying one more season worth it?

Poch should go he is a bottler, he doesn’t take finals serious. The team look vulnerable without the ball.

I repeat Caceido is a better footballer than Rice. Rice is effective so is Caceido but the later has abundant talent than the former. Caceido is a proper box to box/ CM; good penetrated passes, good movement and vision. Caceido can be best box to box/CM in the world unlike Rice that have shown he can not improve more than he is playing now. I wish Lavia or any other CDM stay fit because I don’t want to see Caceido in that position next season, it really make football myopics not to see his actual football technique. If you think it’s coincident how we improve and started winning consistently lately then you won’t see Caceido’s worth and work, I mean, mere being assisted by a left back in the midfield which allowed him to play his best position improved our offensive play and cucu was moving there occasionally.
