Dear all, I posted this a while ago but did not get satisfactory response. Could there be new knowledge that can assist in resolving the issue? I recently used bitlocker on my Windows 7 to encrypt a Portable Harddisk but decided to decrypt it when i found out that bitlocker can't be opened in XP. But halfway through the decryption, i accidentally pulled my laptops cord and it shutdown. When booted again, i can't open the Harddisk When i Try to open bitlocker drive encryption in control panel, it is not responding and also, my computer is not recognising the HD. What do I do to recover the data in the HD please? |

Maybe the woman dey ask for increase in "chop money", an action that is clearly a wrong one at this critical time for the poor guy. ![]() Whicheverway, I do not support the venting of his anger on a poor soul, moreso his wife. We know these are trying times for the guy! |
Dear BolaOni, Just wondering, How is the book doing now. Has it been published? |
I tried decrypting the Hard Disk but the bitlocker is still running on Win 7. The decryption process failed due to the power cut. |

Dear Nairalanders, I have heard about the Okigbo Panel report on the reorganization of the Central Bank of Nigeria. The report was said to have been finalized in 2004. References have been made to it more than a million times. I have seen shrapnels and pieces of the report here and there in some publications. There are recent indications that some civil society memebers got copies and sent it to the Federal Government. All I am saying now is, let some please, for posterity sake give a link to where one can download the soft copy. I trust Nairalanders can get it. I await patiently. Thank you all. |
Dear house, This is an avenue to share experience on the Kindle e-reading device. Please share useful experiences, mention kindle compatible applications you use and other things you use your kindle reading device for. It will also assist if you mention the edition of your Kindle. One love. |
My little contribution. For you to know the likely quantity of blocks required, just do this arithmetic. 1 metre of land will require 3 units of blocks, either 6 inches/9 inches, this is the normal standard. If you are fencing a plot of land of 60 by 120, that is: 60 + 60+ 120 + 120 = 360 metres. In essence, you are fencing 360 metres! 60 metres back and front and 120 meters each for the two sides. At 3 units of blocks per metre, you need 360/3 blocks : 120 blocks for each coach for the 4 sides of the land (this is the max as you will still need to create space for gate, etc which will reduce the quantity of blocks. Whatever excess you get here will take care of normal loss. 120 blocks at N110 per unit (depending on your supplier) = N13,200 per coach if you are going to 7 coaches, that is (120 blocks x 7 coaches) 840 blocks or N92,400 for blocks On the average, bricklayers use 1 bag of cement to lay 60 blocks, so you will need 840/60 = 14 bags of cement At N1,800 per bag, the cement will cost N25,200 aside from carriage cost. I leave you to pick the earlier advise on costs estimates for iron rods, concrete foundation, 1 by 12 wood, carpentry labour, etc. I hope I have contributed a little to reducing your burden. Building house is not as difficult as people (especially masons, etc) make it to sound. cheers |
Poster, Drop me a line on the email address on my profile. I should be able to help you out. You will laugh last and laugh longer. One love. |

Some fellow do it to a fault. Just last two sundays, at a supposedly very spiritual church, while my wife bent down to fasten her shoe strings after a marathon prayer session, a brother just stood there in front of her looking at the mildly exposed boobs. The poor babe (wey I dey manage jeje-ly) had to abandon the shoe completely and carried it by hand tothe car. It was when I asked her why she was holding her shoes that she told me of the brother's probing eyes (that is why she ran or cover) ![]() ![]() |
