Most Church certificate are errmm virtually ‘worthless’
While the court certificate is the real deal. Legally binding. Say you want to travel in future and you need to present your marriage certificate, a church cert wont do anything, same for banking ‘change of name’ and a whole lot of other things .

If you send a webform to ircc canada, especially with a file attached, you will get a reply telling you where your application is being handled.

There is nothing like medical request form.

If you haven’t done medicals, then you are not uploading anything for now. After you submit your application, you wait for them to send you a request to go for your medicals or you do it upfront and send via mails/webform.

You can contact professors with your masters thesis, where you want to work further. Just have your aim put together. Not having a publication wont stop you if you’re very exposed and open. Even Bsc holders are now getting phD offers without having masters.
Although, it could be difficult.

Honestly, this is cheating. Why will you go for a phD, collect the funding and then terminate after a year and say its masters you want to do. This way, you have just wasted your supervisors time. This particular reason (people applying for phD, collecting funding and rounding up as masters) is now on the watch in the US schools. Later now when they start refusing phD candidates from Nigeria, someone will shout Buhari. Its better you make your decision known before starting.

No no, its not okay. The portal result doesn’t have the ‘Test Report Form Number’ so if you use that, there is no way the VO can actually verify the result.

How long does background check last? Does it update to complete?

Also how long does eligibility last?

I submitted my application on the 4th of march and biometric on the 7th of March, background check started same day and has been like that.

Eligibility started 2 days later and has also been like that. Meanwhile I submitted upfront medical and my portal is saying I dont need medical for now.

Is my application going well at all?
