Hi Telim, good day.

I saw somewhere that you needed a product designer. But that was a while back. I do not know if you still need one, but if you do, I’m available to work with you.

Happy to connect if interested.

Cheers.

Experience live in Nanny is urgently needed, preferably Akwa-Ibom,benue
Age :30- 35years old
Salary: N40,000
Location: oniru ikoyi
Interested candidates should chat me on 07033022696

You want to pay an experienced live-in nanny N40,000 every month? Lmao. And I just know you will work her to death like a slave horse.

Nigerians are wicked people. Very wicked. N40,000 a month. Barely $50 these days. That is what you want to pay someone that would care for your house for 30 days in a month.

Hope the person you hire connives with thieves to rob you because that’s what you deserve. Always said that most Nigerians who talk about “outsourcing” Labour are just glorified slave owners. What’s even funny is the person that wants to hire, going by their location, probably goes abroad often. They know what $50 is. That is what they want to pay someone in a month. I just hope you hire someone that would take advantage of you.

Smoking is personal and the government can only discourage via taxes and bans , for example in night clubs , restaurant's etc. What does this say to your idiotic brain?

You make it sound like the government and companies encourage smoking lol because people have smoke breaks. There's isn't anything as such, people have break's and smokers smoke during it.

Arindins , you'll never have sense in that your stupid Nigeria.

Lmao now you just sound pained. But your pain does not change the fact that people would continue to smoke.

You live in the west, where people have smoke breaks at the office, and you think those who smoke are irresponsible?

Well I don’t blame you. A monkey in a tuxedo is still a monkey. You can’t take the village out of the village boy. If you like, migrate to Pluto, you’d still have the same myopic point of view.

The thing with us Nigerians is that we focus on low quality problems. Youth unemployment is at 50% if not worse and your main problem in life is that women are smoking. Can’t you see how funny you are?
Nairaland / General / Re: Why The Stigmatisation Of Women Who Smoke? by HeyCorleone(m): 1:30pm On Nov 30, 2021
Boss13:

It is irresponsible for anyone to smoke. It impacts negatively on one's health. It is a dirty lifestyle choice. It is addictive and also an expensive habit (if you calculate the amount spent on tobacco from day one). It is for those who lack control or discipline.

Juxtapose these characteristics to a woman who is expected to nuture, care for children, teach, transmit, and transfer culture. What do you think will be the outcome - a world of smokers, irresponsible, and impulsive humans.

lol bro this is just a reach and it’s sickening.

People have always smoked, throughout history. Because dirty, unorganized, and rough people smoke does not make it a standard for those who smoke.

In advanced societies, they have smoke breaks at work in very big companies and it has not impacted them negatively. John Kennedy used to smoke Cuban cigars right there in the White House. It used to be considered classy to smoke, just because of how smokers presented themselves in certain societies.

So it depends on the person. Irresponsible people smoke. But not all who smoke are irresponsible. Smoking is just a habit. Anything can be a habit. They are people addicted to coffee. And coffee is a psychoactive. Messes with the brain and creates and addiction. But people who take coffee are not seen in a bad light. Why? It’s all in the image. Coffee is way more addictive than marijuana. But marijuana gets the hit. Even though it’s long term effect is not as serious as coffee (you can take marijuana these days without smoking).

My point is, if you do not smoke, good and fine. Not everyone must smoke. Same way not everyone drinks. I myself can’t stand the taste of alcohol. I hate it so much. But I’d be an idiot to say “people who drink alcohol are irresponsible” because touts in Lagos begin their day with sachets of alcohol, knowing damn well that wine, whiskey and anisette, all alcoholic, are enjoyed by those who we see as “high class”.

So just enjoy what you like and stop assuming that people who do what they love are irresponsible.

Almost everything you said is true but then you forget that in Nigeria, most of the women we see smoking are prostitutes on the streets.
Maybe is we begin to see more female CEOs or professors or bussiness owners smoking we might begin to encourage our women to smoke but for now, we don't want them taking after the prostitutes.

This is literally the same argument the Nigerian police uses to harass, extort, maim, and kill innocent Nigerian youths.

“Fraudsters use iPhones. You use iPhone. So you must be a fraudster.”

“Fraudsters and robbers cut this type of hairstyle. So you must be a fraudster”.

Can you see how foolish you sound?

Smoking in general is something that's attached to a wayward life... A man who smokes may be seen as an irresponsible man, infact society of today will quickly say he's a useless man... But hell no, not all who smoke are irresponsible...

As for women who smoke out of any reason... Will always get harsh treatment from the public cos, the society sees women as gentle and tender creature who should not be caught in such act... I won't blame the society for looking down on women cos from my observation 84% of women who smoke lives a wayward life... The rest are just addicted to it... That's just the way it's, even me I classify women who not only smoke, but pierce their nose as wayward (I need to change that thinking, I know this)... Well OP just live ur life the way it pleases you, so long as u don't affect the life of others

“84% of women who smoke live a wayward life”

How did you arrive at that data? How did you conduct your study? You said it’s from your observation, which means it’s something you carried out. At what time? What age range? Location?

Only a fool would ever take your opinion seriously. You don’t live a “wayward” life but you can conjure figures to suit your bias. What a shameless life.

Hi @Ridwanacole , @Highster , @HeyCorleone , @ChasinGood , I want to get started with UI/UX design and I was wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction by posting links to YouTube channel channels that I could learn from, books to download, websites to visit and stuff like that…Thanks

Hey bro

There are tons of courses on YouTube. Simply searching something like “UI design basics” would give hundreds of videos that would help you begin your journey. If you have experience in design or using tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign, you’d be familiar with certain things. I can’t recommend any video but you can find plenty that would be good for you

You can also use this link to get 6 days of free UI design course. This would help you master the basics and give you a headstart: https://careerfoundry.com/en/courses/become-a-ux-designer/

Most important thing is to practice. If you have a PC now, I’d advice you to download Figma and start practicing from the videos you watch. Using a more hands-on approach would make things easier for you.

I've been designing for almost a year now so I guess I can call myself a junior UI/UX designer. From what I've observed, my advice to new designers is to learn additional skills and probably network with other designers (if they'll network with you sha) because that's the easiest way to get jobs.

Hey bro.

Well done.

I’ve been learning UI design for a while now and I’m confident about job searching.

Please how did you create a resume without any agency experience? Also what’s the best site for creating a portfolio? Thanks.

Not until those who caused Lagos Carnage her charged.
Those who lynched, killed our security operatives are prosecuted.
Those who looted businesses and personal belongings...

It'll always be effort to futility

You will live long enough to watch your children suffer the fate of 20-10-2020.

If you believe nothing happened on that day, then you shouldn’t be triggered.

Ghana has finally seen the light. Thank God.

Before anyone comes for Ghana, they have a youth unemployment percentage of less than 10%. Your almighty Nigeria, best in morality and religion, has a youth unemployment percentage of nearly 50%. Where would you rather live?

Ghana continues to set the pace. The true giant of West Africa.

This is this guy’s experience and he is speaking as far as he knows. If you don’t believe him, kindly leave this thread and get out. Stop making him sound stupid.

What happened to him is something the Nigerian Army would do 100%. I have seen similar reports on Twitter and even real life accounts. I don’t know why you people hold the Nigerian Army in high esteem. There is totally nothing admirable about them. This does not mean all of them act this way. But some do and the OP encountered such people today. He needs help, not people who would doubt his story or ask a million irrelevant questions.
