Why will a 2010 Toyota Camry sometimes vibrate when shifting the gear to reverse? It shifts to other gears smoothly. There is a "maintenance required" light on the dashboard. The mileage on the vehicle is just 108,000, and it has automatic transmission.

For educational purposes, this is what happened.

The fuse must have gotten burnt some time in the past and a technician, just placed the copper wire around it, but the copper wire did not sit properly in the contacts, and the connection was partial.

The reason why I never checked fuses was that each time car went of, all you had to do was wait it out and car would start, the waiting period was not consistent.

Fuses are usually working or not working so really gooffed on this one

The good side is I am yet to collect any money from the client, and yes he is reading this thread and yes I am coming for you (is it me that tell u to use wire inside fuse? )

Car has been returned to client, and has been out for 3days and no more switching off in motion.


Buy a fuse today, save your self and your technician.

Say no to copper wire on fuse.

I'm not an auto engineer, but I doubt if a brake light bulb would affect the smooth changing of gears when hot.

The brake switch from my little experience on my car would rather not make the car switch into drive from park unless you override it by pressing the reset button beside the gear stick.

I personally think the clutches in his gears are gone and the faults becomes prominent when hot.

Let him go to a good shop that can scan his transmission for fault codes.

However, my suggestion had to do with the part of his post that states that his throttle does not respond when depressed at night. In my own case, I replaced a bad tail light with another of different power rating. Since I have my illumination controls
on "Auto," the ECU puts the vehicle in limp mode very early in the morning and in the evening when the lights are expected to be on.

Anyway, a good scan will guide the OP better.

Yes....I changed the bulbs of the brake light....but this issue has been happening before the changing.

Please, how did u handle your own issue when it happened to you?

The lights were the culprit in my own case. Go ahead and scan the vehicle so we could have a proper solution to the challenge.

I'm having issue with my toyota corolla 2009, after driving the the car to work in the morning, after the close of work in the evening moving the car would become an issue as the car won't accelerate despite pressing the throttle. It's so distressing that the car will just be moving slowly as if its on neutral.

I have changed the ATF to 'toyota ATF WS but nothing has changed.

in the following morning the car will accelerate normally, that means this problems only occur after hot afternoon and it has been recurrent.
Please help what could be the problem here?

I think I've experienced something similar before. Did you replace any of your tail lights or brake light recently?

You should have attached pictures of a branded benz/BMW being used for UBER in Nigeria to support your position. Before expending your energy on a fruitless internet search, start by listing gas stations in Nigeria that sells quality premium fuel/gas (i.e., 93+ octane rating), because that is the recommended octane rating for bimmers, especially the 5 and 7 series.

Naija used Kia and civic ain't advisable, since ur budget can't get u a toks civic then I suggest u settle for a naija used yaris, with 1m I'm confident u would get a value for ur money. But u mentioned she likes fine interior which a yaris doesn't have. So I'm thinking a corolla, interioir is moderate, can't be compared to a Honda of same grade though. Also u might have to step ur budget up a Lil for a clean and well maintained corolla(03-06)

Hello guys. I just got a 2005 BMW 525i. Everything works perfectly. However, the dashboard reads "service engine soon." Do I need to run a diagnostic on the car using an OBD?

Also, the display screen shows a warning about restraint system or so I thought.
