A alleged robber was found inside the business premises he stole from with all the stolen loot in his possession.

According to reports, the incident happened in the Verulam CBD in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

According Arrive Alive, "The owner of the supermarket explained that shortly after he had opened up his business, he found the suspect hiding inside the store behind several bales of chips. He and his employees apprehended the suspect and upon searching him discovered R50,000 in cash and R30,000 worth of airtime shrink wrapped around his body."

The shop owner found that there had not been any forced entry into the shop.

"Therefore he believed that the suspect had entered the business last night shortly before it closed. He hid on the premises and during the course of the night stole money and airtime."

A 24-year-old gay man identified as Osamudiamen Amayo, was, today, remanded in prison by an Egor Magistrate court sitting in Benin, Edo state, for allegedly defiling a 9-year-old boy.

I feel empty; I feel empty,” these were the words of the mother of 16 -year - old Seiyefa Fred , who was killed by suspected cultists on Thursday in the Amarata area of Yenagoa , Bayelsa State.

In a telephone conversation with our correspondent on Sunday , the distraught mother , Victoria Fred , said nothing prepared her for the death of her daughter , adding that the deceased had a promising future.

Report says that the suspected cultists shot at the 100-level student of the Niger Delta University for allegedly refusing to hand over her mobile phone to them .

However, the mother of five, Victoria , said Seiyefa had gone out with her niece on the day of the incident , adding that there was no way she could have struggled with her assailants .

The Ogun State Police Command says it has arrested Mrs Jennifer Dikeocha for allegedly inflicting varying degrees of injury on her four- year - old step daughter , Stephanie , a pupil of Royal Peters International Academy , Mowe, Obafemi- Owode Local Government Area of the state.

The suspect was said to have been arrested on Friday, November 9, 2018 .

Stephanie ’ s class teacher reportedly lodged a complaint at the Mowe Police Station , having discovered lacerations on the pupil ’ s back , which were allegedly inflicted by the stepmother , showing same to policemen at the station.

The teacher , whose name was not supplied by the police , said she had noticed the lacerations over time, adding that the girl was always weeping whenever the school closed for the day .

A man , Chinindu Innocent , has been nabbed by the police for allegedly kidnapping his girlfriend’ s mother in the Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State.

It was reported that Innocent and three other members of his gang –Ekendu Chidiebere , Tochukwu Samuel and Ikechukwu Nwankwo – were rounded up by operatives of the Inspector General of Police Special Intelligence Response Team , led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari , a few days after they collected a ransom of N300, 000 and released the victim.

Report learnt that 24 - year -old Innocent had been kidnapped along with the victim in her apartment on Aparazu Ogwu Community in Abia State.

The Police Command in Sokoto State has confirmed the death of one person as a result of stray bullets fired when hoodlums allegedly attacked Gov . Aminu Tambuwal’ s motorcade in Sokoto on Saturday .

The command ’ s spokesperson , DSP Cordelia Nwawe , told newsmen that one other person who was injured during the incident had been hospitalised.

Five children left at home alone and locked in by their parents were killed in a fire in a slum at a district of the Philippine capital on Monday, firefighters said .

The victims , four boys and one girl, aged between 1 and 12 years old suffered burns and suffocation, said fire marshall Jones Silvano.
An initial investigation showed that the fire began in the victims ’ three -storey house in the Tondo district of Manila .

Two of the children were reportedly playing with a lighter and ignited some clothes .

MINISTERS of God’s Kingdom Society, GKS, have condemned the wanton killings, abductions and destruction of property and people in various parts of the country.

In a communiqué at the end of their annual conference at the church headquarters, Salem City, in Warri, Delta State, the ministers said it was imperative that government acts decisively to deal with the killings in Benue, Plateau, Nasarawa, Taraba, Kaduna, Kebbi and Zamfara states, among other states in the federation which had led to the displacement of thousands of men, women and children so as to “prevent anarchy and its horrendous consequences.”

Nobel Laureate, Professor Woke Soyinka, yesterday compared migration of the 1960s with the present.

According to him, while migration of the 60s were regarded as kings, the contemporary ones are regarded in pathetic terms.

Soyinka said this yesterday at the conference, tagged “J.P. Clark International Conference (JPCIC-2018)”,at the University of Lagos. The conference is the first in an envisaged series of annual conferences in which the works of celebrated Nigerian writer and scholar, Professor J.P.
