Note that some routers limit the speed from their LAN ports. I've one that is capped at 100mbps. So anything you connect to the ports, even if your net is 1000mbps it'll only give you less than 100mbps.
That should be the case for your hynetflex ports
I think you meant that should be the case for the TP-Link Router, because the Hynetflex 5.0GHz channel gives me over 200Mbps

Ehen. Because I saw someone say something about not still seeing the 5ghz even after buying the tp link router
It's possible though. See the list of the available network in my setup. I wired the Mtn Hynetflex router to the Starlink router, then wired it to Tp-Link through one of the four available Lan.

I do get consistent 5GHz channel and 2.4GHz channel from the Hynetflex router that hit maximum speed of up to 200Mbps but get maximum speed of up to 95Mbps from the TP-Link Router.

As am writing this, the Starlink 5GHz channel is no where to be found on my Samsung and other 5G enabled phones in the house but visible on my two gaming handheld laptop.

Does this router show the 5ghz abi na still the 2.4ghz dey show for your Samsung?
it shows 5GHz but doesn't exceed 100Mbps. Just hanging around 70-95Mbps. My old Hynetflex Mtn router do reach 200Mbps.

Bro how did you add 5Ghz? I use a samsung S22+
The thing is not consistent, but I found out that splitting and unsplitting it somehow does the job.

PhonesRe: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by HIbreed(m): 8:18am On Nov 25, 2023
In my short stint as a Starlink user, I realized that the speed increases as the dish scans and get optimum service to your location. As a new user, you might get ridiculous speed which gets better by the day.

Same speed when I first used mine, though it has improved small to like 30-40mbps for the 2.4ghz. Use the 5ghz
Regarding the 5GHz channel, my Samsung S20 Ultra couldn't see it but I got an impressive speed of 200Mbps with my GPD Win 4.

I can tell you that Starlink router is the culprit here. I got 70-90Mbps with my old TP-Link Router I bought 4 years ago for just $59 in Aliexpress. Now imagine what a high end router would do.

Hello, comrades. What does this mean? And my speed (2.4Ghx) has been low, within the region of 12-20Mbps.

When I unsplit it, the speed and range actually increased, though slight difference. I just ordered for the ethernet adpater and tp link router. I can't spend this amount and be getting barely 40mbps cheesy
Wetin wuna dey unsplit and split bikonu. Am lost here. Am remounting my Starlink dish today, the speed I was getting is nothing to mail home about.

Bottleneck seems to be your device.
I would bet your network is not split and you are being connected to the slower 2.4 wifi automatically.
Am having the same issue, how do I connect to the 5GHZ network?

Yes upon activation i was greeted with 38k billing 😀
Like I don't understand. Did you pay for it? And will the subscription stop if you don't pay?

BTW, I feel I should let the house know that my Starlink which was shipped from the United States was put on hold in the early hours of Sunday at Port Harcourt sorting center which led to the tracking number refreshing, and now they have shipped a new one from Lagos facility that took almost 14 hours to land in Port Harcourt. Waiting for their call here in Aba today.

As long as you have the starlink ethernet cable, you are more than good to go and will get a better speed than your starlink router. No need to bypass sef. Hope you get 200-250mbps if you in Lagos.

Chai, people get money for this country oh. cry cry
I will give it a try when it lands and post here.

Of course, the 5ghz is constant 24/7 365 days.
This is because the router uses a high channel that all devices can read, while starlink router uses a low channel that only few devices can see. Your starlink 5ghz is also always on but just that some of your devices can't read it. My Android box and Samsung tablet reads the starlink 5ghz always.

But with tp-link, in my case Archer C80, every device have access to 5ghz always
OK. I just ordered Asus RT-AX86U PRO Gaming Router with WiFi 6 and a 2500mb RJ45 cable. I think am good to go wink

Check the status of your shipment with your tracking number. If the origin is the US, no need to worry. If from Lagos, then update the tracking info with your phone number and email.
Thanks.

This happens when the shipment originates from Starlink Nigeria, not when shipped from the US.

Starlink does not usually add the full address information on the shipping label sent to DHL.
I learnt this first-hand when they were sending the replacement router.
I forgot to update the address with DHL and on the day they were supposed to deliver, they called me to ask where is my address is located. I waited till the next week to receive my package as they don't work on weekends.

You should read the previous posts for more information, there is one guy on this thread that has always been preaching it.
Do I have to call them or update it on their website?
