Business / Re: BVN Fraud: My Encounter With Fraudsters by HiideaConsole(m): 6:41pm On Sep 30, 2021
You're sure they'd need your OTP?

Just like the FTC said, the dark web has some incredible features

Just be careful with your details, it doesn't take much for an experienced scammer to deal with you, OTP or not
Ofadaman:
BVN is all over the place e.g.
Sold from NIBSS , Banks, Telecoms, Loan apps, fintechs e.t.c with your BVN anyone can get access to your basic information e.g. Date of birth, full name, phone details, address, biometric info and banks account number, but for them to access your funds that need your information on your card or OTP from your SIMs linked to your BVN.

Many fintechs , and payment gateway (even on gambling sites) can take your card info for payments, but need OTP pin. Once they get hold of your MasterCard details it doesn't really.matter the bank, most Nigerian banks take the confirmation to their secured page and that's how he knows the bank.

Be careful even in giving out an expired card, most as most banks instead of blocking out a card can simple extend the expiry date and you could end up in trouble.

'When it gets hard, remember what you're getting out of it'

Plan your day and put a deadline
Deadlines could help give you a sense of urgency
Also, reward yourself for completing your tasks

Also, I would recommend that you be disciplined, use the DND on your phone

Then, again, doing the hardest task first can help you have free time, feel more fulfilled and help do easier task effortlessly

Cheers

Exactly!

Colour is just practice

Used to be amazed at how my Boss (graphic design tho') used to combine colours, but these days, I'm usually less surprised (although I still respect his works)

This is long o..
I'll try to keep it short as possible.

Depending on the brand you are working for, there's something called color psychology, you cant use red for a banking sector and expect people to trust you and like green now denotes life, fertility. etc

read on color psychology and how the color wheel operates, the complementary colors, analogous, triads, etc it will help you when you want to combine them.

first have a base color that defines the brand, then, have like two other colors that goes with it, could be triads. it will be much easier like that.

there will be a base color, a mid one and an accent color, for a start anyway.

then if the brands have their own color, good for you, just find colors that compliments it, you can use Adobe color (a site) to pick colors too.

Yeah, that's just it
Colour psychology is key for a designer

Then the aspect of having a base colour is really cool and then for Adobe colour, I recommend it too, I sometimes use it when I'm stuck

Like I said yesterday...for you to be a very good and sound designer, you have to read...a lot.

I'd recommend reading

Steal like an Artist by Austin Kleon and

the Design of Everyday Things by Don Norman

I'm currently reading UX Fundamentals and Principles for Non-UX Professionals this month.

You can also suggest other good books in Design

Thank you for the books

I read steal like an artist, it's highly recommended for creatives

Romance / Re: Do You Believe In Albert Einstein Theory.??? by HiideaConsole(m): 9:33am On Sep 27, 2021
Beloved3:

My brother, everything was built around Newton's laws until Einstein came into the scene.

He began to make his peers understand that Newton's laws were only accurate as long as the speed of mankind was not close to the speed of light.

He modified Newton's laws. If we operated at the speed of light, the way we built things (cars, buildings, ships, everything) will change.

He theorized through his theory of relativity (E=mc2) that at the speed, energy could be transmutted into mass and vice versa. Meaning that a physical object can appear suddenly out of no where due to the presence of energy.

My brother it was really strange at that time. Only one scientist in the whole world could understand his theories. They were ground breaking and new. They changed the face science forever. We attribute advancement in space and nuclear engineering to his works.

The expansion of the universe is just a little of the many postulates of his. He postulated that light could bend as well with gravity meaning that you could stand in front of a building for example and see what is behind the building.

He also postulated that if you could somehow transfer yourself at a massive speed to another far away galaxy and look towards the earth with a telescope, you would travel back in time and watch yourself being born.

Time slows down extremely at that speed. And if you find a means to travel to another galaxy for one month. When you come back to earth in your space ship, many years would have passed. Your mates for example would now be in their 80's or dead while you have still remained a fresh 20 year old, who was only absent for a month.

He even touched on the principle of dejavu (having a feeling that an event you are witnessing has exactly repeated occured before).

Really strange scientist with a strange brain. They had to preserve and research his brain after he died.

His theories are still being discovered to be true to this day. And yes, it has been proven now that the universe is gradually expanding infinitely.

I hope that answers your question?

Exactly

Only that we've not seen these things even if it seems theorically correct...

Except we want to go the supernatural way...

I believe Einstein was a genius
Religion / Re: Have U Ever Ask Ur Pastor For Money by HiideaConsole(m): 6:23pm On Sep 26, 2021
bmdmix11:

apparently some over the top worshippers belive pastor dont have to give

Let's look at it from two sides

1. Does a Pastor have to give? I believe it wasn't in his job description (lol). Again, he's a human with family to take care of and needs like us. I believe giving as a must is up to him

2. But if we look at it from the way things ought to be, these are shepherds right? A shepherd cares right? It's just normal for them to seek to meet their members' needs (although they're not God) or find an alternative that could help

Now, this is on a normal basis

Forget those who take it as a business
Religion / Re: Have U Ever Ask Ur Pastor For Money by HiideaConsole(m): 2:27pm On Sep 26, 2021
Never done it

But my mentor once credited me when I told him I was stranded and he's usually a giving-type

An apology doesn't take the hurt away but it definitely gives the relationship a second chance...

I don't know why people find it hard to apologise to save the bigger picture, the relationship rather than their ego

Business / Re: Secret About Affiliate Marketing People Won't Tell You About! by HiideaConsole(m): 1:31pm On Aug 27, 2021
FreeSpirited:

I definitely have no idea how it works, that's why I was asking.....for instance, I dont use my Facebook or Instagram profile for selling...u know, apart from me not being active on those platform, the idea of using my Facebook account to sell..stuff isn't a in image many will love to project, cos they are already known for something else.....I hope u understand. ..thats why I wanted to know how it's being don

I understand you perfectly
Now, there are many ways to go about this...

I gave some alternatives which are blogging, in this one, you're not necessarily selling... You may be doing something as simple as writing reviews about something or a product and in the article, insert an affiliat link to a product you affiliate for just in case someone's interested in getting it, of course it has to be relevant to the article

Second is email marketing... In this one, you're going to be building a list of what I call Quality Leads. And you can send series of emails to them educating them, informing about a promo or just about anything... Also in this one, you're going to find a good opportunity to market your products, remember you're kinda anon, if that's what you're after

Now where social media comes in is that, you may have to use your social media handles to draw traffic to your site, (you can also rank organically if you're good with SEO) and in the second case, you may have to use your social media handles to build a list albeit this is all organically (without paid advertisement)

If you have money, you may not bother about all this because you'll just run ads and you're good...

Now, this last one is what I recommend, and that is selling on your WhatsApp...

You may not want to sell on your Facebook or Instagram but selling on WhatsApp is something you should consider not because of anything but because of the advantage of it being the easiest with a higher conversion rate. If you don't want to sell with Facebook or Instagram, consider WhatsApp and special notice to the fact that you actually aren't selling so to say, you're providing solutions that are valuable enough to be bought by those who have problems they could solve by your products

Makes sense??

What of people who don't have social media profiles. Who don't have Facebook or Instagram or people who are not active at all on social media, how can they optimise social media to generate leade? Do they need to start getting active on social media..

The thing is you have to be online to get the best of affiliate marketing these days

The traffic is online, so why are you not online?

The alternative is blogging or email marketing... How do you capture traffic or build a list without being online first??
