Chopping boards are meant for that purpose: chopping/cutting food, so ayam not understanding how using them for what they're meant for is considered lazy. I can cut onions by hand but it depends on whether I'm cooking for presentation purposes or not. If for presentation purposes and I want to be fancy with them or finely chop them, I use a cutting board.

In any case, I usually do use a cutting board because it's safer. If you watch any cooking shows on TV, you'll see the chefs using chopping boards to cut onions. None uses their hand, otherwise they would be promoting cutting onions by hands, which could be dangerous to the viewers, especially the young viewers watching and emulating them.

Very true!

I think it's more hygienic to use a cutting board.

The most important thing is safety...
I once tried to slice onions like my mum and ended up cutting my hand...

It's not laziness to use a chopping board, it's safe that way and even faster..

My opinion though...

Thank you kiss

Anytime I cut onions with a chopping board my mom laughs at me and say it is laziness.

It annoys me. How is this laziness please? I think it's safer and faster to use a chopping board.

The parents are probably carrying a gene that makes them extra susceptible to having such kids. That's sad.

And you are cute wink

I guess. It happens when the child has an extra chromosome.

Thanks smiley

Then their parents are doing a really bad job raising them.

How?

Their parents are not even there when these children taunt them.

How do you know you would despise this child?

I was always saying that I can't bring a child with down syndrome to this world. When I was pregnant, I did the test to check if the child had the syndrome. You can't take the test until after the first trimester or until the end of the first trimester (I don't remember exactly). It was only then that I realized that it is easy to say such things before your child has been conceived. When I was waiting on the result, I realized that I can't abort my child no matter what.

By the time the test is done, your baby looks like a baby, with arms, legs, a heart and everything else. It's still very small but it looks human and it's yours.

This is true.

I know a woman who has three kids with down syndrome. Their age mates usually make fun of them. The eldest one is always looking sad.

Would you abort a kid with down syndrome?

I was watching a Nigerian movie yesterday where a woman aborted her kid because he had down syndrome. She argued that the world is wicked and that bringing a child with down syndrome into this world is unfair.

Her husband was torn because he wanted to keep the baby. To him it didn't matter, a child is a child.

I've been thinking about it.

If you found out that your child had down syndrome will you abort that child?

That's why I admire my boss. I admire the sweet relationship he has with his daughters.

I believe there are still some Nigerian fathers out there who establish good relationships with their children but they are so few.
