ScamHunter:

Is Dahomey the same as Benin? Benin Republic was unknown to Portuguese explorers as a political entity.

No it isn't.
Dahomey is Benin Republic not Benin city. Dahomey wasn't known as Benin Republic until the 1990s. It was named Benin in memory of the great Benin kingdom in Nigeria.

Benin republic is not same as Benin City, the Portuguese had dealings with Benin City before Nigeria came in to being

True. The name Benin is paying homage to Benin city in present day Nigeria.

"Great Benin, where the king resides, is larger than Lisbon; all the streets run straight and as far as the eye can see. The houses are large, especially that of the king, which is richly decorated and has fine columns. The city is wealthy and industrious. It is so well governed that theft is unknown and the people live in such security that they have no doors to their houses."

This is how the Europeans termed us Savages, we whose culture and traditions are 1000yrs older than theirs.

IFU NA ANYA" or "IHU NA ANYA" can be roughly translated to mean " Behold you with my minds eye", and I think that's ducking deep.

There are a lot of tribes that learned to love and take care of their women by emulating the Igbo men.

Yeah, it is deep.

That is their way.
Una Yoruba carrying hates to another new level.
And to think she took time to explain s language she doesn't even understand and spew complete trash.

For all to know. Igbo have a word for love and it is "ifu na anya". To all young Igbo children here. Know the word. Don't let any idiot confuse you. Your Tribe has a fantastic word for love = "IFU NA ANYA" or "IHU NA ANYA"

Every language on earth has conjoined words. For example in English language, one can say do you "under stand me"
Does it then mean English does not recognize that word just because it is a combination of different unrelated words?

Yorubas and hate filled holier than thou attitudes ehnn. To think that she slept and thought of a way to berate and insult a tribe when they have not provoked her is baffling

I'm not trying to insult the Igbos. I only quoted what I saw in a history book from the 1930s.

Small breast, light skin. straight legs, great smile, medium ass - average height. You can't get enough of em'

Men usually ignore them for big nyash (lazy things). I pour yoghurt on their small yellow breasts and suck/lick gently with passion ( they love it) Chisos .. Valentina .. I am not done with you yet... you know wink

Never shall I fvck a bigger nyash girl. All my terrible sex has been with em. angry useless things.

Romance / The Word "Love" Is Not In The Igbo Vocabulary. by Hintona(f): 4:26pm On Oct 25, 2021
I was confused on whether to post this here or in the culture section. But I finally decided to post it here.

The word love according to the European interpretation is not found in the Ibo vocabulary. The nearest approach to the idea of love is "ifun'anya" ("to look in the eye" ) in a favourable manner. The verb "to hate" is constantly in use, and there is an expression "to look" which implies the reverse of love.

Does this mean ancient ibos were incapable of love or they didn't place much value on it? I also read somewhere that they valued friendship more than romantic love.

Strong African king's like Jaja, Mansa Musa, Sundiata Kieta.

This is the side of history I want to see. I want to see how strong African king's rebelled against the colonisers. Some history accounts make it seem like Africans immediately and obediently surrendered to the white man.

Education / Re: History Of Queen Mary 1 AKA "Bloody Mary" Of England. by Hintona(f): 9:23am On Oct 25, 2021
If only Nigerians knew and were interested in their history this way.

Queen Mary is not as bad as history paints her to be. She was an intelligent, strong woman but quite unpopular. Her father Henry VII killed more people than she did yet he wasn't referred to as bloody Henry. Even her sister Elizabeth I who took the throne after she died ordered the disembowelment of 800 Catholics while Queen Mary ordered the burning of only 280 protestants.

In the end the protestants of England won and so she was seen as a bloodthirsty queen because she was a Catholic.

Some people think the reason for her unpopularity was sexism but that's a story for another day.
