Hi,

I think it's best to select no for spouse work history because I selected yes and post ITA, my checklist requested a work reference for spouse even though I was not awarded any points for her work history.
My 2 cents but let's hear what others think.
Thanks, but post ITA, is there a place to input spouse work history?

Hello House,

when completing the profile, can i just select "NO" for the spouse work history part?

If i select "YES" will i need to provide spouse work reference letters?

Thanks

cochtrane....thanks alot..I feel motivated...I pray it will oo...yes d bankin job will be exactly a year and one week wen I resign...but op it wont affect me as it is a teller contract staff job
as far as CIC is concerned, your job status (permanent or contra t ) don't matter. You just need to show that you were paid while working.

Hi. I used two different NOCS and I have my COPR. It is possible as long as it falls within A, B or 0. The two I used were in A and B.
yes, maybe your job functions were related. For instance if I was a database administrator in a bank and later moved to a full IT consulting organization as an IT specialist, its obvious that my roles are in different NOCs but in the same profession, so yes it will fly.

But for someone who was a teacher and now a banker for instance, this wouldn't apply. I stand to be corrected though.

@hiscules, please how did you contact CIC to make this inquiry?

Also, referrering to the bolded above, are you saying its possible to combine both experience(banker & teacher which I believe the NOC will be totally different) and get the max points for 3years work experience?

Do you think the profile below can claim 3years work experience and get maximum points?
NYSC service year(2011 to 2012)
Job A: 2014 - 2015
Job B: 2015 - 2017

Please note that the NOCs are different for each of the jobs and also that there's no gap between Job A and B i.e for example, stopped job A in February, started job B in March.

No you can't combine unrelated jobs. Tweet at CIC to confirm same

I noticed there was a typo in my post. I meant you CANNOT claim points from 2 different unrelated jobs for EE, they need to be related irrespective of the NOC. Invariably, you cannot claim 2 years a banker and 1 year an IT officer... They must be related,I confirmed from CIC by tweeting at the m

Different NOCs don't matter as long as they fall under clasees 0,A or B. Check your job duties and see which combination of jobs gives you up to 3 years bearing in mind the ease/difficulty in obtaining reference letters for the ones chosen.
hello, your experience has to be in the same NOC ,I specifically asked CIC about this. This implies that all your work experience must be related. You can claim one year as a banker and them claim the other 2 years as a teacher... Hope this clarifies your doubt

Hi Guys, my PPR is here and I really want to thank God for it.

Our application wasn't in anyway perfect.

Things we were scared we didn't get right:

1. We used 25% pension to complete our POF
2. We didn't upload my spouse's IELTS but raised a CSE about 2 days after AOR
3. Used LOE to explain that the part of the POF which was in T.bills was withdrawn from my cooperative savings account

Timeline:
CRS: 438
ITA: 9th August 2017
AOR: 23rd August
Medical passed/IP1: 6th Sept
NA2: 8th Sept
IP2: 15th Sept
PPR: 15th Sept
Family of 4

The PPR mail landed at 3.01am but we saw it at 9am today.

Our status still hasn't updated but hey, we have the mail.

In all, we give God the glory and we recognise that He alone made this happen.

congratulations yimiton, so happy for your and your family. I will like to know if you added any letter from the cooperative or your work payslip. Congrats once again.

You don't need any document..
Just walk into the Bank you bank with and ask for the Bank officials in charge of T.B..
They will either ask you to fill a T.B investment form or Write a Formal instruction authorizing them...
WARNING!!!!!! Don't sound like a Newbie to them because they will frustrate the hell out of you....Get your fact straight before approaching them...
Thanks a million.I got into the bank at about after 1 and was told it was closed for the day. will try again

When you cannot get a verification letter---Provide additional documentation

- The original job posting
- Your original offer letter
- Employment contracts
- Printouts from the company intranet showing your role
- Emails confirming your role
- Tax forms (W-2, 1099, T4)
- Paystubs
- Bank statements (showing your salary being deposited)
- Former proof of employment letters
- Old reference letters
- Company newsletters that mention you
- Pictures of you at work
- Letters from coworkers or clients

If a company has gone out of business, you can contact your former supervisor or another former company executive to write a letter stating that the company is no longer active and verifying your employment. In this case, it’s advisable to provide additional documentation.
If you are unable to provide any letter at all, write a letter of your own explaining why. Provide any evidence you can to demonstrate your work history and corroborate your explanation.

- Newspaper articles showing that the company has shut down
- Obituary for your former supervisor
- Screenshots from the company website showing that they are no longer in business
- Bankruptcy filings
- Publicly available legal documents showing the company is no longer active

OK thanks, again the company is defunct, will statement of account for the period and self notarization suffice in lieu of the letter??

Very true! I bought a registered car last month and I collected all the car documents from the seller (old owner), took it to the vio's office here in Abuja and the new vehicle particulars (vehicle licence, proof of ownership, road worthiness, insurance etc) came out in my name. Simple as that!
i think they are all just confused or just dont want to do the right thing.

Thanks for the recomendation.

You have said it all. Number plates r registered to d vehicle owner n are not transferable.

Hi Pattybf, since you are here, am wondering why the VIO office is allowing that to happen, what is the current price of getting the change done? please note the vehicle glass and body is engraved with the old plate number

The new number plate are registered to the owner of the vehicle and not the vehicle in essence it means the number plate is the owner's property. You are not to sell your car with your number plate on it except the buyer needs it to get to his location and return them at a later date to you. If you fail to get them back from the buyer and he committed a crime with the vehicle, you're the prime suspect in any Police investigation because the number plate is registered to you.

He can not retain the number plate because it belongs to you. He needs to do what is called reregistration to get his own number plate

It is against the law of the land
Thanks , but VIO office said they can change the new owner's name to match with the already existing plate number, is this possible?

Please, I heard that when u sell a registered car, the number plate is not supposed to be sold alongside the car, how true?

If you sell with number plate, will the new owner be able to update the vehicle papers and still retain the number plate? Is it against the law?

I have had too much information about this number plate matter, I need clarification.
