ERockson: The law gives a condition to leave a party sponsored you. Yes. And they did not meet that condition. In the letters they all wrote to the former speaker, and which the speaker read on the floor of the state assembly, they stated that they left because of that condition - division in the party. Only there was no division. |

Politics › Re: Picture Proof: Nigeria's Electricity Is Mainly Gas-powered, Not Reliant On Rain by HitRun(m): 6:41pm On Oct 18, 2024*. Modified: 7:04pm On Oct 18, 2024 |
LegendHero: There's a common belief that during the rainy season, we experience more stable electricity supply due to the predominance of hydroelectric power. This is a misconception. First of all, nice work with your Python graphic. Back to the part of your post I quoted, especially the bolded, while I get the point you are trying to make, it may not necessarily be a misconception for two reasons: 1. Assuming Hydro contributes only 22% in the generation mix (I am assuming because the data you used may not have captured some hydro plants, e.g. Zungeru), it means that during the dry season, that contribution would reduce. Assuming hydro contribution reduces to say 10% it means 12% generation is lost. This means 12% of the power available is lost and that equivalent amount of load has to be dropped from the grid. The implication is that the remaining power has to be rationed. This would mean if a consumer was initially enjoying 24 hours of electricity, it may drop to about 21 hrs. Therefore, you actually enjoy a more stable electricity with the Hydro despite its comparative smaller contribution to the generation mix. 2. If you look at the location of the Hydro plants, they are concentrated in the north-western part of the grid. What this means is that it is cheaper to supply areas closer to the plants (load pockets in the Northwest and parts of middle belt). When you lose most of this generation during the dry season, those load pockets will need to be supplemented from far away generation. It is more expensive to do so, plus there may be transmission constraints due to power carrying capacity of the transmission lines. What this means is that the power available at these locations is reduced leading to rationing. Furthermore, those areas down south where we have most of the gas-powered plants will also experience more rationing because more power is being directed northwards. |

Kemetian: Who will inform this BUSH ''PROFESSOR'' called Soludo that this is NOT how you build a road in a residential area?
https://i.pinimg.com/originals/45/5a/13/455a13dadbbc3bc14c92d5804779b919.png
THIS is how you build a road in a residential area, you Professor Buffoon THIEF.
You build it with SIDEWALKS FOR PEDESTRIANS WHO ARE ALSO TAXPAYERS, AND WITH COVERED DRAINAGE.
https://i.pinimg.com/564x/9f/8c/c2/9f8cc2f9c6d4d7e7c7a7aba19a77a0a0.jpg
https://i.pinimg.com/564x/be/be/14/bebe1498a579faa862a7e881dc422382.jpg
THAT'S HOW YOU BUILD ROADS, YOU CORRUPT, THIEVING ''PROFESSOR''.
And you KNOW IT, because you lived in the US and the west for MANY YEARS and own houses there.
Are there any open gutters with no sidewalks in front of your US mansions?
NO!
So why do you build that PRIMITIVE RUBBISH HERE? First of all, we don't have the technical capability and money to build those covered roads you are showing in these pictures in most states. Maybe states like Lagos and Rivers and of course, the FCT may afford it, and that's it. If you don't know, there are all kinds of tunnels directly under the road. The drainage is not necessarily at the side of the road and covered. Constructing such roads even when we have the capacity would cost so much you would think they government officials are stealing the money. We would rather have these simple roads that are easier to build and maintain, and then build many of them. The priority should be as many motorable roads as possible. Building covered roads require extra infrastructure and its attendant cost that has nothing to do with roads. For example, the whole city drainage system must be planned and built first, otherwise that covered road system will not work. You will just have flooded streets everywhere, and with that the roads will all go bad again. |

My own issue in particular is with Gov Fubara, to those who have been defending him, when last have you seen Sim commissioning any projects in Rivers state? Please be sincere
At least, the Wike that's he has been claiming of distracting him in the state has been seen severally visiting different project sites in FCT without claiming of being distracted by anyone while promising more.
