CONCRETE ROADS IN NIGERIA WILL BE DISASTROUS!
It is usually rosy when new. However, when they begin to age, concrete roads can be very dangerous, because unlike asphalt finishing that is manageable when they begin to develop small small potholes, concrete roads usually develop sharp-edged gashes that if not mended immediately can tear vehicle tires.
Let them restrict concrete roads to inner city roads where speed limit is very low. Any attempt to implement concrete finishing for highways will be calamitous in the future. |

Aonkuuse: I came acrose this heartbreaking hypocrisy of the west and could not help it but to share....
This man was shot dead while preaching in the states and there is no single public uproar or any single news outlet carrying it.... But imagine it happened in Nigeria, the states would have said Nigeria is this and Nigeria is that.... They would have even gone ahead to place visa restrictions and all sort of things.
The west really need to stop looking at others as bad while they are doing the worst things. It’s unfortunate someone committed a crime by killing the preacher. It is also important to point out that the preacher may have been breaking the law by preaching on the street corner IF he were making sounds above the acceptable limit. Of course, the consequence of that should not be death, but why break the law in the first place as a preacher? Recently Lagos state government have been sealing businesses up for noise pollution. |

First of all, A student's academic record is not "normally open" to the public in the US. For a 3rd party to have access to that record (including a student's parent who pays their fees and/or tuition), the student must grant permission. Alternatively, a court can order the school to make such records available to a 3rd Party, PROVIDED THE 3RD PARTY SHOWS A REASONABLE CAUSE WHILE SUCH AN ORDER SHOULD BE GRANTED. Trump had no such reasonable cause. If Obama was a terrible student, so what? Of course, he was right too when he threatened his alma mater with a lawsuit if they ever release his record without his consent (assuming the release was not on account of a valid court order). |
Politics › Re: Resolutions Of Fg/labour Meeting by HitRun(m): 10:11pm On Oct 01, 2023 |
Most of the things said are in future tense. This shows that FG were not taking the discussions seriously until NLC declared the strike. The arrogance of leadership in Nigeria is legendary.
The truth is that no amount of palliative can cushion the effect of subsidy removal for the majority of Nigerians.
They want to go back to the failed strategy of paying money to families - a strategy that is usually riddled with corruption.
As far as I am concerned, the easiest way out for FG is to declare a state of emergency on fuel subsidy fraud and then go ahead to pay subsidy on petroleum until they find an acceptable strategy of cushioning the effect of subsidy removal. Period. If FG blocks all avenue of fuel being smuggled to neighboring countries and all other manner of petroleum subsidy fraud, the subsidy amount will reduce drastically. Then FG can now work out the modalities of the subsidy removal within 1 year before removing it. The suffering is too much. |

Modified Wether Nollywood or home video, Pete senior him in acting. He should never compare himself with Pete on any level. I know what I'm saying for all of you trying to correct or help me comprehend his statement.
Pete remains the legend here. That is how people fail exams. You manufactured information and made your comment based on the information you created. KOK made a very direct factual statement that is true. Deal with it. If a renowned Hollywood actor comes and act in Nollywood today, he/she will be junior to every Nollywood actor. Born2conquer: A neighbor spent over 2M on solar installation around 2 years ago, all the batteries are down and they've been required to cough out around 800k for a new set of batteries.
This is my reservation with Solar. The problem we have is that people just want to install solar; nobody talks about the design. If you want to build a house, at the barest minimum, you get an architectural drawing and a builder to build the house. Why don’t you just look for a Mason and say, “abeg come build 3 bedroom flat for me?” But when it comes to solar, we just get an installer who tells you to get 6 panels, 2 batteries, this inverter or that charge controller, and boom, you have solar in your house. 6months it has packed up. People, there is something call design for f**ksake! Get a professional to make a design for you. Then you may invite an installer and give them the specifications. |
