Romance / Re: I'm Confused: by hoeyeadoe: 11:18am On May 06, 2011 |
Dear Moderator, is there a way I can delete some people's comment on my post- like the ones I find really stupid. I don't like useless talks but useful suggestions and would like to delete the irrelevant comments on my post. Thanks. |
Romance / Re: I'm Confused: by hoeyeadoe: 6:52pm On May 05, 2011 |
I was talking to you 1one. I asked for useful suggestions not a curse, so you really can keep that other part of your sentence. I insist there's nothing wrong with exploring at a young age. I didn't toy my ex' head, he allowed the break up when I asked for it. As for who is leaving and staying at 65, time will tell for those who really give a hoot. |
Romance / Re: I'm Confused: by hoeyeadoe: 5:59pm On May 05, 2011 |
Hey!!! Lasgidi please shut it! Since when did it become a problem to explore alternatives? especially when you're young. So, please shut up if you have nothing useful to say. Crude Oil- I'm not telling lies and not obliged to convince you otherwise, so add something useful or don't add anything. |

Romance / I'm Confused: by hoeyeadoe: 2:48pm On May 05, 2011 |
Certainly not so far in my life have I imagined that it might be difficult to decide between two men- I've always thought making decisions was likened to brushing one’s teeth (you always have an option). I have two wonderful men in my life - one was my ex and the other, is my current. I left my ex 'cos I wanted to see what the outside world had to offer. I met my current 'cos he was supposed to be the first specimen- told my friend it would last 2 weeks but it's lasting almost 2 years already. My ex is back because he's met with a number of pastors & prophet-ess (UNSOLICITEDLY) and they've told him that it will be best if I'm part of his life. He is a sweet guy(occasionally), writes for me (really really like) but my pastor said ‘nay’ (spirit led encounter). My current bf is very desirable - never met a guy as HOT as him in reality- easy going, cool, collected although inseparable from him first family ( they are the first to know if he's going to get a new car, but I think I can deal with that) but my pastor said ‘yes with a selfish clause’ (spirit led encounter). Anyways, they're both asking for my hand in marriage and I'm as confused as the Libyan rebels when they saw that they had nuked their own plane, partly due to indecision as to which of these men I should be with and partly due to my semi- anti marriage vibes. Does anyone have a useful/helpful/reasonable suggestion as to how to reconcile this dilemma? |

Romance / Re: What Qualities Will You Like Your Lover To Posses. by hoeyeadoe: 11:18am On Apr 05, 2010 |
Very Interesting angles, I'd like my man to be very reasonable and God fearing. Reasonable in order to be able to make appropriate decisions and God fearing as such decisions wont be selfish. Plus, he's got to really Care about me. |

Politics / Re: Why We Cannot Celebrate Democracy Day In Nigeria by hoeyeadoe: 7:38pm On May 27, 2009 |
Adewale, what's wiv the picture? Anyways, you spoken well. As I type, there is nothing glorifiable about the current situation in Nigeria and for the last 10yrs 4 that matter. And please, tell that to the nook and crannies of this country. I reckon some pp dont know. |
Politics / Re: Who Killed Our Democracy? by hoeyeadoe: 7:27pm On May 27, 2009 |
Shanpe, you av a good point. We need to vote for the right people and I blv there are gross of them. The problem with this movement is none else than the ELECTORAL SYSTEM and CORRUPTION- having a free and fair election is far fetched if we still have appointed block heads as civil servants and ministers. How do you reckon with that? not to worry, there's gonna be a change, and we r getting there. |
Politics / Re: 29th May, 2009 by hoeyeadoe: 8:15pm On May 26, 2009 |
thanks Viga, exactly our point. I dont understand the basis for such threat and bitterness, perhaps, Ribadu's involvement. But nonetheless, it's about a country celebrating her shadow democracy in a few days time, that still stops at nothing to suppress her citizens freedom of speech at every nook and cranny of the world. You dont have an idea how much cost the univz withdrawal has on the organizers. |
Politics / Re: How Is Your State Governor Doing? by hoeyeadoe: 5:24pm On May 26, 2009 |
My state governor is the most useless of all the state governors that Nigeria has ever had. Formal education may be desirable but i'm certain it's not a prerequisite for common sense. This man highlights complete lack of common purpose with lack of vision, ruggedness and indiscipline. I have written to his office a million times and not even a confirmation was sent 4 their acknowledgement. Have you been to Ibadan lately, My friends argue it's the dirtiest state in Nigeria. Did you hear about the millions of dollars stolen from the boot of his daughter's car? it's countless the counterproductive initiatives of dis guy, Alao Akala, haaaaa, You are nothing but useless. |

I just thought to share this now. There's going to be a symposium on Friday from 9am -5pm at the London Met Uni titled STATE OF THE NIGERIAN NATION Confirmed Speakers Prof Wole Soyinka Mallam Nuhru Ribadu Jean Lambert, The Green Party MEP Barrister Femi Falana Prof Sola Adeyeye Sowore Omoyele Sister Affiong Affiong Okey Ndibe Kayode Ogundamisi. This event is being organised by Nigeria Liberty Forum with the support of London Metropolitan University Business School. LMBS/Nigeria Liberty Forum Mr Kayode Ogundamisi or Dr Abraham Dalang email: nlibertyforum@googlemail.com Tel: 07951402986 Media Enquiries for NLF Event. E-mail: nlibertyforum@googlemail.com Phone + 447984212553 Media Contact Only. Meanwhile, the Nigerian High Commission has and is currently making a big fuss out of this. They've written to the University threatening to shut down their offices in Nigeria. The University has now withdrawn from sponsoring the programme, but it's still taking place in their auditorium nonetheless. That's how bad it gets at times. |

I love every Nigerian that is passionate about positive change HERE, We are getting there. |

Politics / Re: Who Killed Our Democracy? by hoeyeadoe: 2:46pm On May 25, 2009 |
I understand you have to live to die. Democracy in Nigeria is yet unborn and therefore impossible to have bin killed except the Military regimes committed accelerated abortions. Now, that's the vital bit. The abortion that the first military govt had disrupted the system systematically with continuous carelessness in the form of ethnic rivalry, religious conflict, indisciplline of out people= ineffective or in fact failed institutions, and baba won (their father) CORRUPTION. Back to yur ?, we have never experienced anything close to a democracy in 9ja, prerequisites being freedom of speech which ultimately includes the media ability to unbiased and deadly professional, respect for human and civil rights, rule of law abbl (e.t.c or ati be be lo) "Just as the regimen of the healthy is not suited to the sick, one must not try to govern a corrupt people by the same Laws as those that suit a good people. Nothing proves these maxims better than the long life of the Republic of Venice, which still retains a simulacrum of existence, solely because its laws are suited only to wicked men." Rousseau (1997/1755, p. 135). |
