Waterfall screen technology concept is a new design recently unveiled by Chinese smartphone giant Oppo. It’s just a curved screen, curving the side edges of the display to an extreme degree. It is just like the curved screen you see on Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy Note devices but far more extreme. The curve is so extreme to the point that you can’t see any bezels at the edge of the phone. But when you look at the sides, you can see where the screen ends and where the bezel begins. The question on everyone’s mind right now is, will the screen at the edges be disabled so when you hold it, it won’t start operating itself. Also, where will the front camera be? Unless there is a plan to make the front camera under the display. Of course, that’s the only solution.
The thing that will frighten users the most is the fact that if the phone drops in the floor or hard surface, will that be the end of the device? Oppo has not announced any date when the waterdrop screen will be made available. Neither has the company answered any question about it since the unveiling. One thing is obvious right now in the smartphone industry. The Chinese are now setting the pace for others to follow.
I’m sure if the concept becomes a success it won’t be long before the likes of Apple, Samsung and others join the trend. What do you think about the new water screen technology? Tell us in the comment section.

rentAcock: A major part of South Africa's economy relies on its tourism. Imagine Nigeria, India and China make up 30% of the world's population but have no visa free relationship with South Africa. That just shows you that it's not about population size rather its about dollars and cents.
Americans can travel to South Africa without visa but South Africans need visa to enter America. They are not complaining because Americans are known to travel the globe and spend money that boost local economies. The GDP of California alone is bigger than that of the entire continent of Africa combined. So you see, money rules.
South Africa shouldn't grant us visa free status into their country, let us remain in Nigeria and develop it to be the envy of the world.
I agree with you but then a lot of factors are militating against development of this country ranging from bad leadership, dangerous "political practice", financial recklessness and so on. If we are to be sincere you will agree with me that of all the countries in Africa, Nigeria is abundantly blessed, be it in agriculture and mineral resources. But the question that always comes to mind is how have we been able to positively explore and convert them to develop our country to an enviable status. Believe me we may not be able to attain that status if we still have people who don't think or believe corruption has cost this country alot of things which in fact brings about why Nigerians wants away by all means. Look at it from this angle... Transportation, Electricity, Petroleum and other factors that contributes to development of business and economy are not well managed and if that is the case, you can't expect miracle to happen. We have to look inward but then when it turns to the survival of the fittest in your own country why won't anyone prefer a greener pastures. Sho'gun laye ni?
Earlier today Kwara people got a certain text stating the withdrawal of the APC gubernatorial candidate. Sometimes you just wonder why someone would chose to tarnish someone else's political career with such tactics

So the FG has decided to listen and grant the demand of the NLC, good news there. But on the other hand one would be greatly concerned and disturbed as to why 18,000 naira or even the new 30,000 naira was not sufficient and is not going to be sufficient-only time will tell though. It is a well known fact that these same set of people who took salary increment as if it were a big deal are the same set of people who can't feed even their pets with 30 naira in a week. However let's look at it from this perspective;Shelter, Feeding, Electricity bill, welfare and in addition with the almost unbearable prices of kerosene, diesel and petrol which makes the backbone of the economy. Running a check on the expenditure of these things then one would agree with me that what we need most in the country of ours is price control. It would amaze you that very soon the government will make announcements on changes in prices of these things and there we go again minimum wage won't be sufficient any longer. Please check an tell me what you can buy with a #5 naira note. It is high time those in the helm of affairs start being rational and humane in their policies. We are humans and not animals and so we should be treated as such.

The lecturer seems to be unconcerned as recorded in the video. We hope this celebration wont put this happy students in one trouble or the other.
Tracypacy: I recently hung out with a group of girlfriends I hadn’t seen in a very long time. I’d like to say that it’s because we’re all busy,so I was grateful to get the opportunity to catch up with my girls.
As usual, those ladies that were single lamented about their nonexistent relationship status. “Where were all the good guys?” “Why do they all live with their mama or have multiple baby mamas?” “How come they don’t have great jobs or make a lot of money?” I quietly sat there listening, not missing any of my single days. However, the more I listened, the more questions formulated in my head. “What constitutes as a great job?” “What is ‘a lot’ of money?” After all, those things are pretty relative, so I was curious to learn what types of guys they were attracting and why they felt these men weren’t good enough.
One friend said, “The doorman in my building asked me out on a date. Can you believe it? Like I’d date ‘the help’.” Suddenly, I began to understand why some of these women were still single.
“What’s wrong with the doorman?” I asked.
“Uh, he’s a doorman,” she responded, as if the answer was obvious.
I followed up by asking if it was just doormen she was against, or any man who was in a service/customer service type of job. After all, “the help” is not limited to doormen, maids, butlers, janitors or any other job that reminds her of “slavery” (her words, not mine). Service industries also include positions within sectors such as hospitality, sales, public health and any other position where your responsibility is to service or be of service to other people. But because those were still considered service industry jobs in a sense, were they too deemed not respectable? “Would she not date a man in any of those fields?” I thought to myself. What Occupation would stop you from dating or marrying Someone?
Don't take it to twitter abeg!!! Have had enough here.
nex: Good morning holafloyd, please can I share your story on Twitter along with your picture? Do you have a Twitter account? I used to have friends at Laserderm, but it's been a long time I reached out to them.
nex: I'm very impressed with some of the responses on this thread. Very useful information, and very professional too. I'm also saddened that a few people felt they could bring jokes and insults to someone suffering a medical condition, nd seeking help. This is something we have to change on this Nairaland.
I've noticed one major difference between Nairaland and Nigerian Twitter is that as this discussion proceeds, on Nigerian Twitter, a professional dermatologist will eventually step in and invite the patient over to a clinic for free consultation and treatment, and also use the opportunity to show off how competent the clinic is in handling such issues. Why doesn't this happen on Nairaland?
We need to look at this, and see how Nairaland can become a place of genuine solutions.
GAMEFACE: .....You need to treat it systemically which means that you need tablets that will target the blood. I suspect that it is now a secondary fungal infection because of the way you have handled it and the numerous drugs you have taken..... The drugs you have taken are good however they are for different infections and also they are locally applied meaning that they are not getting into your system and for example the shampoo is highly for management and control in severe cases where the infection has become resistant to drugs, you must have noticed that once you stopped applying the shampoo, it comes out again. The active ingredient in Nizoral is ketoconazole....Nizoral is the best brand in the market. Buy Nizoral not just any ketoconazole tablet..take one tablet once daily at a particular time with food for three weeks and also get skineal...because it contains a steroid which is highly active in cases like this. Apply 3 times daily....and avoid drinking while on Nizoral. This is encase you don't have money to see a dermatologist
Dermatologist in the house kindly help on how to treat this serious skin condition. A lot of drugs and treatment has been prescribed and used and still no big changes. I have used 20% SSA, Momento loratidin tablet, Nizoral shampoo, Ketoconazole cream to mention but few...please kindly help on a lasting solution to this unpleasant skin condition.
Live on Channels TV this morning one APC man instead of addressing the question on fuel scarcity properly, Solomon Edojah is trying to politicize the current unpleasant situation in the petroleum sector. Why are we like this in this country.
Hi everyone, a particular business idea which I think can command a huge profit and as well be helpful to Nigerians has been on my mind for sometime. It's not something I can undertake as a sole investor because of the capital needed which I can't afford but I sure will like to share with a company or two only if they can afford to pay for it. After all that's will be my own gain. Please I need more enlightenment on how to go about this. Thanks
