PoliticsThe Contraption Called Nigeria By FFK by Hollicom(op): 9:40pm On Apr 18, 2019
In 1914 Lord Frederick Lugard, the British Governor-General of Nigeria, described northern Nigeria as the "poor husband" and southern Nigeria as the "rich wife".

He went further by boldly proclaiming the marriage of the two regions by British fiat and declared, without consultation with either of the two "spouses", that this was a marriage that had "no prospects of divorce" and that "would last forever".

Ever since then and for the better part of the last 104 years the "rich southern wife" has been enslaved, raped, sodomised, insulted, humiliated, devalued, demystified, rubbished, bound in chains, cheated and treated with the utmost contempt and disdain by a rappacious and insatiable "poor northern husband" who has no sense of restraint, decency, fairness and or compassion.

The south, plagued with a notoriously timid, weak, pitiful, ignorant, confused, shortsighted, cowardly and irredeemably pliant set of leaders, have proved, over the last 58 years, to be wholly incapable of engendering any form of unity or collective purpose and of standing up to northern arrogance, bondage and captivity.

They have all failed woefully and their inexplicably docile, indolent and stoic disposition remains the greatest obstacle to southern emancipation till today. As a matter of fact the leadership of the north continuosly thanks God for their lack of understanding, weakness, cowardice and divided ranks.

You do not have to behave like the pliant and subserviant rich wife simply because a cruel, misguided and self-serving British mercenary and colonial officer described you as one 104 years ago.

If the north had been the rich partner and had been blessed with oil and the south were its burden, its leaders would have had the courage to break out of forced marriage take their zone out of Nigeria long ago.

Sadly southern leaders have always lacked the vision, courage and ability to make such a move. Instead all they do is silently whine and grumble behind closed doors about northern domination.

I make bold to say that one of the greatest disservices to southern Nigeria and indeed the black man in the history of the world was the amalgamation of the southern and northern protectorates of Nigeria by the British in 1914.

This was a forced marriage of ethnic, religious and cultural incompatibles and there has been little peace between the two ever since. From day one it was a mistake and a failure and it remains a mistake and a failure till today. Lord Lugard and his wife Flora Shaw, who gave Nigeria its name, must both be laughing in their graves.

There you have it. I have spoken the minds of millions even though few are prepared to say it publicly.

FamilyEvils Of Maintaining Secrets Accounts by Hollicom(op): 1:44pm On Apr 09, 2019
Pst. Yemi Adeeko:
BANKS AND BANKERS ARE GETTING RICHER THROUGH FOOLISH DEAD HUSBANDS

While talking with a female bank manager, she made a scary revelation to me. She told me how Nigerian bank vaults are filled with monies of dead men who kept their bank accounts secret from their wives.

She explained it was against bank ethics or policies for an account officer to inform the relatives of a deceased customer of his account (without his permission). And since the man is dead, without giving his permission, the bank dubiously keeps silent about the money. She told me it is rampant among many businessmen.

She revealed many instances of dead men whose families are still suffering, while they have millions stashed in their secret accounts.

She mentioned one that happened few months back. The man died and the wife was crying all over the place, looking for money to bury him. Whereas the man had nothing less than 60 million naira in his accounts. The banker said it got to a stage that she could no longer bear it, her conscience was pummelling her. She had to go against her bank rules, and got in contact with the widow and revealed to the woman how much her husband had in his accounts and how to claim them.

She also told of another story of one man who escaped death, but his right hand got paralysed. He couldn't sign his chequebook with his left hand and he was in a desperate situation that needed him to sign papers and cheques. That was how he learnt his lesson the hard way. As soon as he got better, he immediately made his wife co-signatory to all his accounts and involved her in all his businesses. What if he had died? That was how his family would have suffered in the midst of plenty.

This stupid behaviour is not reserved for wealthy men alone, even paupers who earn little have their own complex issues.

I just read on the wall of an Igbo group where a man complained of how his friend refused to release his ATM pin number to his wife even though there was an emergency at home, and his ATM was at home.

Many orphans and widows suffering today are put in that condition by their stupid dead father.

Women and Retirees are not left out. Someone told me how a relative of hers died and none of her relatives knew that her properties were scattered all over the world. Not even one house. Not even a dime in any of her accounts... If you knew billions unclaimed in banks belong to selfish dead people, you would weep.

Banks and Bankers grow fat on these oafs.

Please do the needful now that you still have the breath to do so. Of course tomorrow is pregnant and only God knows what it will deliver.

A word is enough for the wise.

Good Day. Have a wonderful week ahead

PoliticsTinubu: An Enigmatic And Transformational Leader by Hollicom(op): 11:15am On Mar 07, 2019
Tinubu: An Enigmatic and Transformational Leader

Tinubu is the leader of the Yoruba & please don't argue that.

His visionary leadership, his knack to spot talents, his superb mentorship prowess and ability to rally people to support his cause is second to none.

His development master plan has transformed Lagos State and catapulted it as the 6th largest economy in Africa (what this means is that Lagos economy is bigger than that of over 45 countries in Africa)

In 8 years of Osun State under Aregbesola (a staunch mentoree of Tinubu), the State was transformed from a rural town to a city sprawling in infrastructure and like Lagos, the legacy will be sustained by the current governor.

Even nationally, in just less than 4 years Nigeria has gone from being the global highest importer of rice to the largest producer of same in Africa and 6th in the world. Also, Mr Fowler ( the DG Federal Inland Revenue Service), a protege of Tinubu was able to increase the Nation's Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) to an unprecedented N5tr + mark.

Since the demise of Obafemi Awolowo, the YORUBA nation has not witnessed such a transformational leadership that Tinubu is providing across the SW. You may criticise him all you can (was Awolowo not also criticised?) but you can't take these enumerated qualities away from him.

In the coming governorship elections in Lagos, Oyo and Ogun States everyone desirous of good governance must troop out to vote the candidates of APC if you must enjoy the true dividends of democratic governance.

If they say Tinubu would hijack your State, tell them he should hijack it and transform it to States like Lagos and Osun States.

Viva Southwest!

PoliticsNigeria Situations In Fela Songs - Yet No Changes Naija Keep Suffering & Smiling by Hollicom(op): 10:22am On Mar 07, 2019
My eight years old son and I were listening to Fela's song and my son heard Fela mention Buhari, Obasonjo and Yar Adua in his song.
.
Flummoxed, the young man turned to me; "Daddy, when did Fela die?"
.
I said 1997.
.
Still curious, he went on; "How did he know these people?"
.
I told him that Fela was an African prophet who foresaw the things we face today. When I noticed that he wasn't buying my story, I quickly changed the narrative.
.
"You see those men," I mumbled dryly, "they ruled over my father, your grandpa. They ruled over me. Now they are ruling over you.."
.
His eyes opened wide in shock; "Three generations? But that's not fair!"
.
I don't know how he knew the word 'generation,' but he made so much sense. These men have been on the scene for three generations.
.
Since things remain the same since Fela sang those songs, why hasn't their conscience pricked them to leave the scene for the next generation?
.
Are they happy with the way things are?Copy

Politics"O To Ge" In Lagos? Yorubas, Avoid Self-immolation by Hollicom(op): 9:53pm On Mar 02, 2019
"O TO GE" IN LAGOS? YORUBAS, AVOID SELF-IMMOLATION

You are comparing Lagos with Kwara.
You think because Kwarans used "O to ge" to end Saraki's stranglehold on Kwara, you can hide behind that lofty battle cry to help PDP win in Lagos?

If you are of Yoruba extraction and you are being deceived to think that the O to ge in Lagos is the same as O to ge in Kwara, you are the most naive person in Nigeria.

What they could not get for Jimi Agbaje in 2015 is what they are cunningly trying to get for him through the back door in 2019.

I have my issues with Senator Tinubu. I have criticised him so many times on my Timeline. What you can not take from him is that he loves his people. Without him, the Yoruba Nation will be rudderless.

If you take out Tinubu, who fills the vacancy in leadership that will result, those in Afenifere?

If you were resident in Lagos before 1999, can you compare Lagos pre-1999 to the Lagos of today?

Tinubu has a knack for raising leaders, not only in Lagos but in the South West.

He, it was, that took Yorubas from the realm of regional politics to where our voices are heard at the centre. He, it was, that initiated the alliance between President Buhari and the Yorubas.
Today, what our son, Obasanjo, couldn't do for Yorubaland, a President of Northern extraction, has done more for us in less than four years because of Tinubu's foresight.

So if PDP takes over Lagos, what happens? A Party that has never been united in the South West will take over the flagship State of the Yoruba Nation. A Party that is adept at plundering national resources will take over Africa's 6th Largest Economy? What do you think will happen to Lagos enormous resources in the hands of these cankerworms? What do you think will happen to the almost N40billion monthly revenue that accrues to Lagos?

A Party that has not been able to survive since it was dislodged from the centre wants to take over Lagos? Hahahaha!

Can't you see through their machinations. Can't you see what Lagos will become in the hands of these people?

So people like Wike, Bode George, Reno Omokri, Secondus, Fayose, Saraki, the men in Afenifere, Atiku, Chidoka and other faces in PDP will now have foothold in Alausa? Even imagining it is scary.

You will know what it means for Lagos to be a 'No man's land" then.

Let me ask you and I hope you are able to answer these questions?

1. WHAT DO YOU HAVE AGAINST TINUBU? Let me have a list of your grouse with him.

2. If you take down Tinubu, who in Yorubaland can you recommend, who has the same span of influence like Tinubu, to fill the vacancy?

3. If you allow them to use you to achieve their agenda, who in Yorubaland has as much influence with President Buhari as Senator Tinubu?

Let me point you to a direction: look at the many positions held by Yorubas in this administration in the last four years. Compare it to our lots in 16years of PDP at the centre. I hope you can juggle you memory yourself.

You take Tinubu out and you lose your influence in Buhari's government in the next four years.

For me, as much as I have issues with Senator Bola Tinubu, allowing PDP to take over Lagos and having these jegudujera bestriding Alausa, Lagos and the South West frightens me.

The "O to ge"" in Lagos is not against Tinubu, it is against you. Don't cut your nose to spite your face. Don't join them in throwing stones into a market full of Yoruba people.

Distance yourself from their "O to ge". It is not for you, it is against you. This is a fight for the soul of the Yoruba Nation. Don't be a tool in their hands.

A word is enough to those who are wise.

Yoruba ronu! Omo eni kii nse'di bebere ka fi ileke si'di omo elomi.

PoliticsHis Excellency Atiku Abubakar Could Still Unseat President Buhari At The Supreme by Hollicom(op): 8:11am On Mar 02, 2019
His Excellency Atiku Abubakar Could Still Unseat President Buhari At The Supreme Court.
Posted by admin
By Anayo M. Nwosu

The presidential elections seem to have been concluded and the winner announced but it is not yet over.

By rejecting the results and heading for court, Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s presidential candidate has extended the presidential contest which result could be in his favour.

This time around, only the judiciary, especially the justices of the Supreme Court of Nigeria will “elect” or determine who shall become the substantive Nigeria’s president.

Nigerians should refresh their minds on how, the current chieftains of APC especially, Rotimi Amaechi dethroned Celestine Omehia in Rivers state, how Aregbesola replaced Prince Oyinlola in Osun state, and how Adams Oshiomhole had to take the governorship seat from Prof. Osunbor in Edo state.

The above named APC politicians achieved their electoral victories through the courts many months after the winners who they unseated became eventual losers, were sworn in. All these happened in the last 16 years when PDP was in power and had all apparatuses of power under their almpit.

I am sure that President Buhari and some leaders of APC have realised that there is a rattle snake in their presidential roof going by the judicial pronouncements in the cases of Oshiomhole versus Osunbor (Edo) and Aregbesola versus Oyinlola (Osun) where irrefutable proofs of rigging, noncompliance with electoral guidelines and proven cases of election violence would lead to a judicial cancellation of the resulted areas and recompute the valid votes and announce the winner.

PDP and some observers claim that the use of card readers in the south disinfranchised many voters while manual voting was allowed in the extreme north. The implications of such lapse in the use of card readers across board seem to have favoured the winners.

In his acceptance speech, Buhari had cautioned his supporters not to gloat and deride the losers even though Adams Oshiomhole would not hear of that. He has been gloating and ridiculing Saraki over his loss.

Buhari who is an experienced presidential election results contestant in court knows that the final verdict is yet to be given on his re-election bid. Anything is possible.

Shebi APC people call Atiku a thief? They will see his awesome skills in court.

With the vigilance of a thief, Atiku who had a prior knowledge of rigging plot against him wired his agents and undercover observers with secret cameras aided with satellite photography which were warehoused in the cloud out of reach of evidence destroyers.

Atiku had invested heavily in surveillance technology and has been able to record all the electoral malefesances committed in the areas where APC won the big numbers. He anticipated it and he was prepared for it. His evidence in court would be torture, painstaking and irrefutable. And he has good lawyers who had handled such cases before.

Atiku knows that our laws had been amended to allow deposition of electronic evidence and he will gleefully tend more than sufficient amount to prove his case to annul the votes in areas of interest. It would be an earthquake.

Has any of those gloating over Buhari’s victory even looked at the INEC’s electoral guideline that insisted that no vote would count unless the voter was accredited using a card reader?

Even though the Supreme Court had ruled that the use of card readers was unknown to the electoral act but INEC adhoc officers’ insistence on card readers usage in some areas and not using same in some areas where jumbo figures were recorded will make the honourable Justices decide to cancel the results in the areas affected in favour of equity and good conscience. If this happens Atiku would be announced the winner.

I expect Atiku’s legal team to keep it simple. I believe that they would select those states that gave Buhari upto 8million votes and apply for their invalidation based on incontrovertible evidence noncompliance with INEC’s guidelines
PoliticsMany Of Those Criticizing Buhari Are Christians” – Femi Adesina by Hollicom(op): 1:28pm On Jan 30, 2019
A spokesman to President Muhammadu Buhari, Femi Adesina, has stated that majority of the cirticisms he’s heard against the president comes from Christians.

Femi Adesina made this known in Lagos over the weekend at a meeting organised by the Christian Press Association of Nigeria (CPAN). He called on Christians to pray for their leaders instead of criticizing them.

“How frequent do you pray for your leaders and how much support do you give them? Instead of criticising people in government and judging them, pray for them.” “Before the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, the late Ocholi, died, we had more Christians in the cabinet than Muslims and after his death, the number became equal…Unfortunately, many of the comments I have heard against the government are from the church,” he said. Femi Adesina went on to enjoined Christians in government to live by examples. “Let your light so shine so that people can see your good works, that is what the Bible says. So, working with the government should help you to affect a larger number of people for God,” he said.

PoliticsThe Full Gist Of 1983 Coup Plot by Hollicom(op): 4:09am On Dec 30, 2018
HISTORY: 1983 COUP by Michael DrBiggie Adeyemi

Context is important in making judgments. Please, read below;

Yesteryears in Retrospect: Many things you never knew about the Dec 31,1983 coup that overthrew President. Shehu Shagari

On the last day of the year 1983, a coup was in operation to overthrow the democratically-elected government of President Shehu Shagari. The most interesting thing about the coup was that even though it was neatly orchestrated by middle-cadre and top brass in the military, Buhari was not initially the person to become the Head of State. The person that was expected to become the new HOS after the coup was Brigadier Ibrahim Bako. Bako and his boys stormed the President’s residence to overthrow him. Shagari was woken up by his security team and alerted that Bako and his men were on their way to the State House to arrest him.

Quickly, President Shagari was evacuated to a safer location and the stage was set for one of the most dramatic gunfights in Nigeria’s political history. To guard, protect and defend the Nigerian President then was the Brigade of Guards, headed by Captain Augustine A. Anyogo, an elite presidential bodyguard made up of some of the best-trained hands in the Armed Forces. They fought to the last and in the ensuing battle and under circumstances that are still not very clear, Bako, who was supposed to be the new Head of State was hit (IBB denies that Bako was to be the new Head Of State but agreed he was a chief plotter). He died. On Bako’s death, IBB would later say that maybe it was due to an accidental discharge. Hear him:

Question:“…What really happened to General Bako?”

Babangida: “..….when they went to Abuja for that operation, ….this thing happened in the night… you see, from the experiences we had from the civil war, we found out that soldiers sometimes panic and when they panic, there are dire consequences. So, it was in the night and there was what you could call accidental discharge and the first reaction of the soldiers was that they were being attacked and in situations like that, you could shoot anyway. It happened to us I remember, during the civil war. You get shot at in the front and the sound reverberates behind so the soldiers at the back believe that the person shooting is right there then they forgot that some 500 meters away are what we refer to as own troops, your own forces. Because of no adequate training, a soldier would just cock his rifle and start shooting only to discover that he is shooting his own people. During the civil war, we sustained lots of casualties as a result of this situation. So, my suspicion is that a similar situation must have played out during that operation in Abuja and a bullet hit the late Ibrahim (Bako).”

Question: “So, claims that General Tunde Ogbeha may have pulled the trigger on Bako are not correct after all?”

Babangida: “I would not like to say he did it, no. It was the situation they found themselves; it was dark and everybody was shooting anyhow.”

In short, no one really knows exactly how Bako died.

As at the time of the coup and following Bako’s death, General Buhari was commanding the Third Armoured Division of the Nigerian Army in Jos, Plateau State and he was far from the center of action in Lagos State. It is a norm that the top military commanders and the top brass of the military who are not involved in the coup are usually informed to know their opinion and get their invaluable support. Buhari was informed in Jos. He informed the plotters that he was not opposed to them and they had his support. He further suggested that the most senior military officer ( who happened to be Domkat Bali) should be made the new Head of State. How quickly things can turn. A Yoruba adage says " ori to ba ma j'oba, ko si ni, aa d'ade" ( a person predestined to be a king will surely be crowned no matter the cruel situation he faced). A meeting was held to choose the new HOS since the original person ordained to be HOS - Brigadier Ibrahim Bako had been killed in action.
The plotters held closed-door meetings to choose the new leader. But during one of the meetings to choose him, a mild drama played itself out. Some of the military officers wanted to select IBB as the new head of state but in a fit of fury, Mustapha Jokolo drew out his gun and said no one would leave that place alive if Buhari was not crowned the head of state, that IBB would become the Head of State over his dead body. Jokolo would later become the aide-de-camp (ADC) of Buhari and later the Emir of Gwandu in Kebbi State before he was deposed and banished from his own kingdom (Jokolo and Colonel Sabo Aliyu, who was heading the Brigade of Guard were captured the day Buhari was overthrown and were beaten to a state of stupor, the beating was so intense that rumors initially flew out that Jokolo was dead). An agreement was reached and Buhari was selected to become the head. A jet was on to Jos to later bring Buhari who was not in the meeting.
To cut long story short…lol, Buhari was ‘elected’ as the Head of State and the Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces and his appointment was formalized on the 1st of January, 1984. It would last until the 27th of August, 1985 when Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida and his cohorts like Abacha dem took over. The Supreme Military Council (SMC) was formed. Tunde Idiagbon, also one of the original coup plotters was "elected" to be Buhari's deputy. In fact, it was almost as if they ran the government together because Buhari gave idiagbon a freehand to take many actions and sought his advice on many issues. Also,Idiagbon always took actions with his boss full permission and understanding. He never usurped his boss authority. No wonder it was labeled Buhari-Idiagbon regime.
Like I said earlier, this isn't a campaign for Buhari but an attempt to set records straight. Buhari never plotted any coup nor did he truncate any democratically elected government. He was just a man of peculiar circumstances, ordained by fate to rule Nigeria at that time.
It is cluelessness and gross ignorance to say Buhari plotted any coup or truncated democracy. He never plotted any coup nor did he truncate any democracy.I am not holding briefs for him but just setting records straight
Thanks.

Christianity EtcThe True Ownership Of Church by Hollicom(op): 11:18pm On Dec 17, 2018
#Ownership of church...."My husband willed the church to me,I am co funder" - Late Cleric’s wife
storms church, disrupts service.
16122018.

There was chaos at a
Pentecostal church yesterday when the late pastor’s wife
stormed the church to disrupt the service and claim ownership of the church.

The incident occurred at the Heirs Church at Bubuashie in Accra, Ghana as the wife of late Rev George Akwasi Nketia
claimed her husband willed the church to her thus no one including the pastors have no right to run the church.

Adom News’ Isaac Amoako who witnessed the scene reported that, a pastor was delivering a
sermon when Mrs. Nketia and her children stormed the church accusing all pastors of treating them unfairly.

Efforts by the church
leadership to calm the
aggrieved wife and children
proved futile as they claimed
they are now the new owners.

But for the intervention of a CID
officer who ordered them out
and closed the church, Isaac
said the situation could have
been bloody.

Explaining the church’s
position, Secretary, Kwame
Wereko said the widow of their
late pastor is acting out of
emotions.

He said though the late Rev.
Nketia had served the church
for the past 13 years, he does
not own the church.

“The church was built with the
hard earned monies of church
members; Rev. Nketia did not
contribute a penny so he cannot
will it to his wife” he opined.

Mr. Wereko maintained that,
the decision by Osofo Maame
Nketia to disrupt church service
is borne out of malice.

“She brought other pastors
outside the church to ordain her
pastor which is against the rule
of the church. There is no way
we will hand over the church to
her; it’s not her husband’s
property” he added.

PoliticsStill On Jubril From Sudan - What's Your Take? by Hollicom(op): 7:18pm On Dec 06, 2018
Hohoho...

On Jibril from Sudan, I'm not alleging anything but Here’s a timeline of Buhari’s health travels:

February 5, 2016
Buhari embarked on a six-day medical vacation to London.

June 6, 2016
Buhari takes to the skies for a 10-day medical vacation.
Presidency says Buhari has to travel to deal with a “persistent ear infection”.

January 19, 2017
Buhari is off to London again on a medical vacation.

February 5, 2017
Buhari writes the national assembly, asks lawmakers to extend his London medical leave.

March 10, 2017
Buhari returns to Nigeria but doesn’t resume work immediately. Presidency says “he’s working from home”.

May 7, 2017
Buhari embarks on trip to London for another medical vacation. He returned to Nigeria after 104 days.

Yes 104 DAYS. That was how long Buhari spent in London with no information whatsoever as to what was wrong with him, what he was treated of and how much was spent treating him.

Then on August 19, 2017, Buhari returned to Nigeria and it took him a while to resume work because rats have reportedly damaged furnitures in his office after which the Presidency announced that he’ll be working from home.

I'm still not alleging anything but one cannot help but observe that the Buhari that emerged from the 104 days of total information blackout has suddenly become so strong that since August of 2017, an 80 years man that was traveling for medical tourism every two months has not gone for even check up in the past one year, 3 months.

It's either he met Jesus who healed him in London or he's a Jibril from Sudan.

Oby Ezekwesili on Atiku and PDP.

"I just laugh when I hear some people say our citizens movement will split opposition votes. But the PDP is not in opposition to the APC. The candidate of the PDP has over the past 14 years gone from PDP to AC, AC to PDP, PDP to APC and now back to PDP.

For these terrible Nigerian politicians, corruption is all fun and games. These people have no desire but for more power, power, power, power. They stay up at night conspiring to steal and pillage, to loot and destroy.

Oh, my brothers and sisters, I served in that government with one of the candidates who is running under #APCPDP in this election. Kai! No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

Six and a half years after, I had fought the fight that had to be fought from within, and then I left government knowing for sure that if this political order is not changed, the work of good governance that we do within government will never last.

I decided not to re-enter government, rebuffing every request made since, and instead made a decision to dedicate my life to activating citizens to push these blood-sucking political class out of office.

I returned from the World Bank five years later to do just that, and the PDP was still at it! Same incentives, same behavior. The political class was completely unchanged - and had in fact become completely worse.

For goodness sake, what has fundamentally changed about that PDP we have always known? What lessons did the party really learn after its defeat in 2015?

Is this not the same PDP that looted the monies meant to equip our military, so that our soldiers had to run away at the sight of Boko Haram, because they had no weapons?

The same PDP that spent precious days denying that our Chibok girls were kidnapped and so allowed the terrorists get away?

Is this not the same PDP that conducted a recruitment exercise for the Immigration Service that killed scores of our young people and yet nobody was sacked or punished? Haba. How can we forget so easily!

So the question is: Apart from forgetfulness, why are some Nigerians suddenly considering the PDP yet again?

I have heard some people say it is because the PDP candidate has run successful businesses and therefore will be good for the economy at a time like this.

That response just makes me shake my head in wonderment: Is it the same person we know, or are we speaking of another? Perhaps you never read a 2005 email from the president of Atiku’s university which was obtained by US investigators.

Let me quote a small portion: “...The flow of revenue to the university will slow dramatically if Atiku’s political fortunes continue to wane… Construction delays on campus have also raised fears that the prospects for the university are linked to Atiku’s political success.”
Did you just hear what that email said? That the success of that man’s private business is dependent on our commonwealth?

A special report by a US Senate Committee on Foreign Corruption concluded that “over an eight-year period from 2000 to 2008, Atiku and his wife, Jennifer Douglas were able to bring over $40 million in suspect funds into the United States…”

And these are the people you want to put in charge of the national treasury? In charge of the money for your children’s education? Of the resources for our country’s hospitals? Of the budget for our depleted army and our impoverished police force?

If we dive into all the filthy issues involving the PDP candidate - from PTDF saga to $2.8 million Siemens bribery scandal - we may spend the entire day here today and I simply do not have that time.

PoliticsLet's Do Some Calculations On The Naira To The True State Of The Economy by Hollicom(op): 8:25pm On Oct 17, 2018
a. In 1999, Obasanjo met naira at 88 to 1 dollar, but left it at about 130 to 1 dollar;

b. In 2007, naira exchanged to the dollar for 130, but GEJ left it at 235;
c. PMB met it at 235, and in three years it is now 360!

Now, let us calculate the percentage devaluation:

A. OBJ:
130- 88= 42.
42÷ 88×100= 48% , naira lost value by about fifty percent under the Obj.

B. GEJ
235- 130= 105÷130 ×100= 82%
Naira lost value by 82%

C. PMB
360-235= 125
125 ÷ 235× 100
= 53%

Naira has lost 53% under PMB.

More facts behind the figures : under GEJ the least oil sold for was N70 dollars in 2009
( average) while the highest was N120(average) in 2012!

In fact, the penultimate years of 2011 and 2012 recorded sales of 105 dollars and 109 dollars respectively, yet our naira kept losing value!

PMB has sold oil for between 40 dollars(2016) and 50 dollars(2017) .

Oil is being sold at 70 dollars currently , and that is the average selling price and not the current price of about 83 dollars!

Now , OBJ also had low selling prices but the responsibilities too were low.

Under Obj, Infrastructures were abandoned, power sector was abandoned, and so on.

Now, let them check the numbers and fault the claim that the PDP didn't destroy Nigeria!

We thank PMB, our expectations are gradually being met, we appreciate the efforts so far because he is gradually moving Nigeria economy away from dependence on imports and building infrastructures.

PoliticsBuhari Must Go Or Not: Our Current Dispensation And Our Minds In Disarrays by Hollicom(op): 7:25pm On Oct 16, 2018
I find it amusing when people say they don't want to vote Buhari out because they don't want to return to Egypt, as if we left in the first place
We are still in Egypy anyway but the difference is, while we do pay rent every 4years in Egypt, this Government has helped us build a duplex there through financial recklessness
Our debt profile has doubled within the past 3years, the external debt rose from $11.77bn in 2015 to $22.08bn in 2018 without achievements to point at to justify the massive debts, you know how many years we would have to labour in the proverbial Egypt before we pay back these debts?
Since it's inception, Bretton woods institutions encourage third world countries to take loans, now IMF has been warning Nigeria against incurring more debts, CBN is saying we are about to enter another recession that would be more excruciating than the recent one we had, yet you don't know we are still in Egypt
Under Buhari, millions of people have been pushed into perpetual penury and we became the country with the largest number of poor people yet you say you don't want to return to Egypt,
Prof Osinbajo has been touring states to distribute 10k to people in the name of empowerment, what effect would the 10k have in the lives of Nigerians today, you only empower people when you help them set up thriving businesses or expand the already existing ones that if well managed, would lift them out of poverty, is it not logical that the economy would feel the impact more if you distribute 100k to 50 businessmen than to give 10k to 500 people?
If you look closely, we are in Egypt but Buhari's government is about to take us to Syria, continue justifying poverty o, keep making it look like a virtue, we are in for a long ride
PoliticsTinubu Deserves Accolades Despite His Shortcomings by Hollicom(op): 9:36am On Oct 04, 2018
No matter how you feel about Tinubu, he deserves some respect. He may have his own shortcomings just like any of us, but he is just a fine politician.
===

1. Prof Yemi Osinbajo, SAN was Tinubu's
Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice. He is today, Nigeria's Vice President.

2. Rauf Aregbesola was Tinubu's Commissioner for Works. Today he is serving his second tenure as Governor of Osun State.

3. Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN was Tinubu's
Chief of Staff and successor in office. He is today Nigeria's Minister of Power, Works and
Housing.

4. Alhaji Lai Mohammed was Tinubu's
first Chief of Staff. He is today, Nigeria's Minister of Information.

5. Babatunde Fowler was appointed by Tinubu as Chairman of the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service. Today, he is the Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service.

At the National Assembly, there are countless
"Tinubu boys" who have occupied and are still
occupying seats till today. Since 1999, the Tinubu camp has produced almost 98% of the members of the National Assembly from Lagos State.

Forget politics, this man is a political
enigma.
Rewind to 1999, I am sure most of us
have forgotten the names of the People who were elected Governors then. Some of them have gone out of circulation. Some are gasping for breath politically.
Indeed, most of them are no longer relevant today.

Who still remembers Mbadinuju of
Anambra State, Jolly Nyame of Taraba,
Mohammed Lawal of Kwara, Segun Osoba of
Ogun, Attahiru Bafarawa of Sokoto, Achike
Udenwa of Imo, Victor Attah of Akwa Ibom, Orji
Uzor Kalu of Abia? That one has lost two
consecutive senatorial elections. But Tinubu has not only managed to remain extremely relevant, he has continued to control Lagos politics 100%.
Not only that, he manage to carry his boys
along and today they occupy critical positions in our national life.

Take it or leave it, Tinubu is today, Nigeria's
most powerful politician. It didn't just happen by chance. He worked very hard for it. Very very hard.
The hallmark of a true leader is not just the ability to rule well but also the ability to nurture and groom his associates.

PoliticsThe Warri Refinery And Petrochemicals Company (WRPC) Is Now In Full Operations A by Hollicom(op): 4:22am On May 27, 2018
The Warri Refinery and Petrochemicals Company (WRPC) is now in full Operations and all the 10 Plants are working optimally. This did not happen for almost two (2) decades. Reno Omokri, Femi Fani-Kayode (junkies), Haters and Wailers will never say, trend and hawk it. Never!

Remember that Obasanjo,Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and Diezani Allison Mmadueke were using WRPC to siphon money from the Nigeria’s Treasury for 14 years, all in the guise of Turn Around Maintenance (TAM) on the Warri Refinery and Petrochemical Company (WRPC) What a cruel act against the Nation and her citizenry?! To prove that these cruel souls are the arch-enemies of Nigeria/Nigerians, out of their sheer greed, they resolvedon to sell the Refinery when they were no longer contented with stupendous amount they were looting in the name of TAM on WRPC.

Please, note that Goodluck Jonathan and Diezani Madueke are natives of Ijaw nation. The Warri Refinery and Petrochemicals Company is located at the back of their fathers’ compound; on their own native soil.

It is my pleasure to remind you that, Warri Refinery and Petrochemicals Company was awarded to Snamprogetti Spa Milan, Italy (an Italian firm) in 1975 by (the former Head of States) General Yakubu Gowon, the construction was accelerated and completed by Mohammadu Buhari during his tenure as the NNPC Chairman and Petroleum Minister.

Without making noise and draining the Nation’s Treasury, the “certificateless” Fulani man from Daura has gotten all the 10 plants at the WRPC functioning optimally in his less than 3 years in the office as the Nigeria’s President. While the certificated Goodluck Jonathan, Diezani Madueke and others used the WRPC to loot Nigeria’s Treasury and failed to revive the refinery.

Nigeria Media will not talk about the great achievement because it is not a bad news.

PoliticsRe: Senators React As Police IG Idris Snubs Senate Invitation Again by Hollicom(m): 6:20pm On May 10, 2018
DOES THE SENATE HAS POWER OVER THE IGP? FEMI FALANA has ANSWERED US> Falana to senate: Accept my sympathy, you lack power to summon IGP by The Cable Femi Falana, human rights lawyer, says the senate “did not get it right” by tagging Ibrahim Idris, inspector-general of police (IGP), “an enemy of democracy”. Following Idris’ failure to appear before the senate on three different occasions, the upper legislative chamber said he is unfit to hold any public office. The IGP had been summoned over the growing insecurity in the country and also for the case of Dino Melaye, senator representing Kogi west, who is currently in police custody. Idris sent a representative in his place on two of those occasions but the senate turned back the proxy. Speaking on a Channels TV programme on Thursday, Falana said the senate made a mistake by bringing Melaye’s case into the picture. He said even with the killings, IGP is not the right person to summon, rather, the minister of interior and the attorney-general of the federation. He said: “By virtue of section 67 (2) of the constitution, either chamber can summon a minister when the affairs of his or her ministry are under consideration. The only other occasion a public officer can be summoned by the national assembly is when proceedings are ongoing to expose corruption and when a law is being debated either with a view to amending it or to have a new law entirely. “But there is no such powers given to the national assembly by the constitution to summon everybody.” Asked by the programme’s anchor if the senate has the power to summon the president, Falana replied: “No. Section 67 (1) has given the president the discretion to address the national assembly either jointly or separately, on any matter of national importance. The president or the governor of a state cannot be summoned; that is the constitution. “The national assembly has my sympathy, but what can be done? The constitutional review is ongoing. You can deal with this lacuna, or the gaps you have identified. “But don’t go outside the limit of your powers. When you do that, you ridicule the constitution. And that is what is going on.” He added that even though he condemned the arraignment of Melaye while on a stretcher, he had told the lawmakers to not “individualise problems of police brutality”. “When you do that, you lose public support. It is the height of hypocrisy to say because the police has brutalised our member, the IG must come. What of thousands of Nigerians that are brutalised daily?” he asked. “Don’t single out the harassment of your member to summon the IG, that is where they lost it. They shouldn’t have mixed Melaye’s case with the killings. “As far as the constitution is concerned, the person to summon is the minister of interior and the attorney-general, and they have the powers to do that. The minister can be summoned but there is no provision for summoning the IG or the customs boss to appear in one uniform or the other, it is not there.”

I'm not a woman but I know LOVE alone is NOT enough to endure a serial cheat in a yet to be consummated relationship.

A married woman could stay because of her children and the need not to deny them the presence of both parents in their lives. But a single woman? The motivation goes beyond just love. They say the reason could be monetary, yes but also, it could be the glamour, the paparazzi, the glitz and the public attention you get from being in a relationship with a celebrity.

It worked for Annie, it's working for Chioma but then, there are other thousands of women it did not work for. So, no unmarried woman should condone a serial cheat because it might end in disaster for you.

PoliticsMelaye's Recall, The Lesson We Are Not Learning by Hollicom(op): 4:54pm On May 01, 2018
Sunday Aikuirawo Aniyi wrote;
Melaye's Recall, The lesson we are not learning

While Mr Dino Melaye and his real and opportunistic friends have a right to rejoice at the failure to successfully recall him, there's a greater collective failure which we have ignored to our peril.

To begin with, I was disinterested in the politics of the recall but I took a historical interest in the melodrama that it became.

The sad reality of the failure itself is that whereas it will take about 73 senators and 260 Rep members to impeach a president, it is practically impossible to impeach an errand legislator.

The writers of the constitution made a redundant law that will continue to be a waste of scarce resources.

In the Kogi West example, there are over 360,000 registered voters. To elect Mr Melaye, only slightly over 42000 voters elected him. In the election, less than 60000 voters participated.

To recall him, the law demands that 51% of 360000 (180000 voters) should sign, and be verified within a day. To register the 360k voters, it took weeks of serious publicity and mobilisation. Before election, there will be about 100 days of campaign but notice was only issued for a few days in this matter.

In Nigeria, turn out for elections has never reached 50% at any time and sometimes, if held in isolation, legislative election could record as low as 5% voters turn out. Why should we then demand 51% of registered voters to recall an errand legislator?

For clearer understanding of the issue, let us go more statistical. Mr Melaye won with 42000 of 360000 which roughly translates to 11.6% of the registered voters. Why should you need 51% to remove him? The sensible thing would have been to say, same minimum of same percentage that elected a legislator should be able to to remove him. More realistically, it should be 51% of the votes cast for the candidate during the election which would have been about 6% of the total registered voters in the case of Mr Melaye.

Something is fundamentally wrong with the constitutional provision and we should really be concerned with it rather than gloat about who is more popular between two adolescents in adult bodies.

I can't understand why it is easier to remove a president than to recall a councillor. What's the wisdom in creating an impossible law? Is it not better to expunge that provision from the constitution since it is impossible to implement the provision?

What do you think?

I have been avoiding to make a post on this Kanu guy and his Biafra struggle, do you know why? Because some of my Igbo friends hate the truth though I knew many Igbos were/are not in support of the way the guy was/is going about it.

My Igbo friends don't be offended but the truth must be told just like that Kogi guy, "You say the truth you die, if you don't say the truth you will die, but I Ibukun Agunbiade I shall say the truth. The first day I listened to Kanu on radio Biafra saying "if you are Igbo and you are attending a Yoruba church you are a fool, Yoruba pastors criminal" I knew he was going nowhere. That guy is too tribalism and full of pride.

You refused to obey court order, you turned yourself to a small god, there was this picture I saw where a guy was kissing his feet. You refused to listen to anyone even the elders of your land. You set up a secret service under a country, are you for real? You promised to match to Abuja with 2m IPOB members and bring back Buhari's head, common that is treason. A whole president of a Nation. Guy u too do abeg.

What stopped you from going to the National Assembly, what stopped you from talking to elders in your region let them agree with you. You could have fought for the unity among your people before fighting for freedom. You dominated the Eastern part of the country and started causing commotion at the end you wasted people's lives. My guy you must come out and finish what you started.

Biafra or death yet you couldn't take a bullet for Biafra to be achieved. I didn't read in the history where Mandela said "South Africa or death". "Yorubas are cowards, Hausas are goats, Igbo who don't agree with you are saboteurs or vultures, Niger Delta are collaborators, Nigeria is a zoo, Buhari is a paedophile, Yoruba pastors are devil, if anything happens to me burn down the zoo", after saying all this you still expect us to support you.

I declare today a freestyle day let's us abuse ourselves we will settle tomorrow incase you hate what I just wrote about Kanu because the truth will always be bitter.

I'm not against Biafra, but let it go through the right channel. Let your leaders lead the course and not the poor masses, your leaders are your problem not the freedom you are fighting for. Kanu himself killed Biafra with his hate speech, take it or leave it.

I'm not even feeling fine so it is an offence to beat me. #IBK.
