PoliticsNiger Delta And The Albatross Of Greedy Leaders. by Hollicom(op): 6:23am On Aug 03, 2016
Today, the president of Togo was in Lagos, Nigeria to inspect the Dangote Refinery currently under construction with an estimated daily production capacity to refine 650,000 barrels of crude oil. The project which is ranked to be the biggest in the world is set to be completed in 2019 or there about.

Currently, a few numbers of young Nigerian engineers are undergoing training in India to understudy similar refineries with the overall objective of taking over its operation once it starts production.

Since the construction began, community agitation or picketing of any sort has not been heard. Workers have not been kidnapped or molested. There has not been any need to deployed troops or police to site. In a nutshell, relationship between the host community and the promoters of the project has been cordial.

Ditto for other industrial and infrastructural projects across the State, the Badagry - CMS light rail project, the Lagos - Ibadan express road and other projects in Ogun State and other States across the SW.

In Edo State, the Dangote Cement factory currently ongoing is also a good example of an industrial project that is being built under peaceful atmosphere with a tolerant and hospitable host community.

Bottom line is, many investors are turning their back on the SouthSouth especially the three States of Rivers, Bayelsa and Delta because of the aggressive nature of most communities in these States.

Just this week, the governor of Bayelsa State, Seriake Dickson was appealing to APC members in the State to attract Federal government projects to Bayelsa and I wonder why he failed to do same as a governor whose party was not only at the centre but had a sitting President as a son of the State.

The youths from the Niger Delta must take the bull by the horns to wrestle the region from the stranglehold of selfish and self serving leaders who are quick to arm youths for their selfish political and economic interests without providing for them a suitable means livelihood.

Traditional and spiritual leaders like Chief Edwin Clark and Ayo Oritshajafor that had unfettered access to the ex President Goodluck Jonathan failed to put to positive use the enormous goodwill they enjoyed in advising the then president of the need to transform the region and empower the youths.

Rather than unite the region towards a common purpose they were busy playing politics of self aggrandizement, of religious acrimony and tribal jingoism.

The future of the Niger Delta rest squarely on the shoulders of the youths who must take bold steps in holding their leaders accountable. The welfare and well-being of the critical majority must not be sacrificed on the slaughter slab of the few.

They are quick to tell you the Hausa are trying to islamise you or they are stealing your oil but all those leaders telling you this have mansions built in Abuja, Lagos and abroad. The same Muslims they tell you are your enemies are their business partners.

When your leaders collect dollars from oil companies, they approach the Bureau de Change Alhajis for business deals.

The Northerners do not hate you and they do not seek to islamise you. Your real enemies are within you, they are your leaders namely Political, Social and Traditional even the various Community Development Associations (CDAs) are also culprits.

To the one that has brain, sense is given. And if you no get sense better borrow from the one wey get.
PoliticsObasanjo And The Tragic Farce Playing Out by Hollicom(op): 12:06pm On Jul 30, 2016
PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari may continue to voice out his confidence in the intactness of his national goodwill, but underneath, his instincts will be telling him it is greatly depleted. He is, therefore, left with no choice but to continue tolerating former president Olusegun Obasanjo’s unremitting visits to Aso Villa. Should the president decide not to indulge any longer his peripatetic predecessor’s fondness for cavorting in the State House, he would probably expose himself to merciless public lampoons and horrific excoriation from the usually caustic former president. It does not cost President Buhari anything to give the former president an hour or two in the State House to stave off virulent and needless abuse, so he would continue to indulge him until it becomes absolutely impossible.
Last week, the former president again swept into Aso Villa. He claimed he had messages for the president, though in reality he was merely demonstrating how very constantly loth he is to stay out of the limelight. He had travelled to Gambia and Liberia not too long ago, he explained, and he had messages from those two presidents for President Buhari. He had also just returned from the annual general meeting of the African Development Bank (ADB), which took place in The Seychelles, and it was important to update the president, presumably because the president needed the updates. He did not state whether the president officially designated him as his representative in all the three meetings. But if he imposed himself on the president, he would naturally be averse to revealing that fact. In fact Chief Obasanjo is so fecund with alibis that he would, like a magician pulling a rabbit out of a hat, find any reason, no matter how tenuous, to justify a visit to Aso Villa. Indeed, of all the past presidents, the chief is the most reluctant to let go of the Villa.
Shortly after former president Umaru Yar’Adua assumed office in 2007, Chief Obasanjo similarly made himself a near permanent feature in the presidential complex. It was obvious he had served his two terms uneventfully, and was master of his own soul, unfettered by any obtruding predecessor or pestering bureaucratic wizard. But he had painfully not rid himself of the inviting and seducing spirit Aso Villa evoked in him in all its surreal garishness. It was, therefore, not long before the late president got tired of Chief Obasanjo’s imposition, and showed it. Had he not been hobbled by illness, to which he eventually succumbed, it is difficult to guess what might have been the consequences of such a drastic repudiation many actually thought the late president was capable of delivering against the censorious Chief Obasanjo.
But Nigeria does not need to be too conjectural in finding out what consequences a spurned Chief Obasanjo was also capable of evoking. After ex-president Goodluck Jonathan assumed office as acting president in 2010, doubtless with a little but really superficial help from Chief Obasanjo, he found himself compelled to entertain his relentless predecessor. Eventually, as every person would, Dr Jonathan got fed up. No one harangued the chief when he was president; Dr Jonathan would also like to rule without the long and ominous shadow of his predecessor cast over his presidency. A very public spat naturally ensued. And though Dr Jonathan tried to reach some accommodation with the sulking Chief Obasanjo, the latter gave no quarter: it had to be his way, fully and remorselessly so, or no other way. As a matter of fact, a fearful Dr Jonathan tried till the last moments of the 2015 campaigns to placate Chief Obasanjo; but it was hopeless.
President Buhari will wisely not quickly retrieve the presidency and his own quietude from the grasping politics and self-righteousness of Chief Obasanjo. The implication then is that the chief, who is thought to be older than his declared age, will in his twilight years continue to fool around Aso Villa for quite some time to come. He will seize upon every important and self-gratifying trip outside Nigeria, and return with communiqués and resolutions he believes the president must see. If appointments to see the president do not come quickly, perhaps on account of the frivolity of the messages for which he has packaged himself as an emissary, he will give vitriolic hints of just how capable he is of being nasty. It seems clear indeed that the only president who can resist either his blandishments or his resentment is one whose self-confidence and brilliance as a leader and charismatic mobiliser are unquestionable. Since the chief left office, the presidency has not had such a leader. So, the tomfoolery will continue for a while.
Though Nigerians are reluctant to dismiss Chief Obasanjo’s messages with his repellent person, considering how sometimes uncannily he mirrors and aggregates the collective national resentment against mediocre leadership, and how he profits from the public elevation of those messages, it is perhaps about time that that distinction was not drawn with the discriminating and finical exactitude that often gives him joy. Last week, he had weighed in against the House of Representatives over their budget padding discord, a crisis that encouraged him to generalise about the rot in the National Assembly. But as usual, his intervention was not about the country but about himself, using obvious tools and indisputable facts to give himself a good bounce, since he lives and feeds on bounce and the glare of publicity.
Going by the budget padding revelation, said Chief Obasanjo, the National Assembly was doubtless as corrupt as he had described them many years ago. Illustrating his own poor leadership instincts, he had also self-servingly advised President Buhari to watch closely every bill or motion the NASS sends for assent or action. Since he never tried to improve or strengthen the legislative arm during his presidency, but instead fought them bitterly when they refused or dethroned his stooges, it was quite easy for him to recommend the naturally pugnacious President Buhari to stiffen his resolve against the lawmakers. Many more of Chief Obasanjo’s interventions fit that insular and ingratiating mould.
The reason is clear. Ex-president Obsanjo is not a philosopher with the capacity to reflect deeply on the problems of Nigeria, let alone proffer powerful insights into those problems, or give profound suggestions about how Nigeria could make solid and far-reaching progress. His own eight tranquil years in government, accomplished on the back of huge oil earnings, left the country he falsely claims to love completely bereft of principles or values. And he capped those years with a parody of truth and innovation that produced mediocre and unqualified politicians to rule the country. He distorted democratic principles and, after so many years out of power, not to say his breezing in and out of Aso Villa wearing contrived smiles and flashing false gleams from his eyes, he has still not grasped democracy’s great fundamentals. No one should be fooled that his criticisms are meant to lead the country to the path of rectitude.
President Buhari may tactfully continue to endure the imposing Chief Obasanjo, but it is time the public, especially the media, began to place things in context and especially deconstruct the former president as a person, whether he is moral or amoral, and put his speeches and panaceas within the backgrounds that measure their seriousness and appropriateness, or their lack. Rather than be amused by his dry jokes, many of which border on the lurid, it is time they subjected him and his suggestions to constant and exerting analyses and pressure. Not many people are enamoured of President Buhari’s style, polices and orientation, and rightly so; many more should be less accommodating of Chief Obasanjo’s frequent, unsavoury and practically useless intrusions into national life and politics.

PoliticsNot Buhari,blame Jonathan For Nigeria’s Economic Woes – Father Mbaka by Hollicom(op): 7:54am On Jul 25, 2016
Popular Catholic Priest and Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, has once again denied rumours that he received money from Buhari or the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2015 general elections.

Mbaka made the clarification through his media aide, Maximus Ugwuoke stating that he had no regret for his ‘controversial’ prophecy entitled “From Goodluck to badluck”, as he blamed the former president for Nigeria’s economic woes.

He said, “Some call him controversial priest; some call him fiery priest and all that, they are entitled to their opinion.

“I will tell you something: It is not for us human to judge prophesies; he was the only person who said Buhari would win.

“If it were in the olden days, all those so-called men of God, who castigated him (Mbaka), would have received the wrath of God immediately.”

“Don’t forget that two months before that prophecy, Jonathan’s wife came to the Adoration Ground. That is to tell you that the prophecy came from God, if after such a visit, he (Mbaka) had the courage to reveal such prophecy against them, that tells you that it was much more than what people think.

“Before Buhari took over, the dollar was rising but there was already problem with our economy.

“I recall that on January 31, this year, he said clearly that Nigerians should brace for hard times, he said a lot of hardship was under way; this suffering Nigerians are passing through is process of change.”

He absolved the Buhari administration of any blame concerning the economy, heaping them at the doorstep of Jonathan.

“This is a government that has unearthed a whole lot of things. The other government had oil boom, which they squandered, they handed over oil doom to this government,” he said.

The media aide also denied rumours that Mbaka received money from Buhari or the APC.

He said, “There was also these claims of meeting with the APC chieftains before the election; he (Mbaka) never held any such meeting.”

Christianity EtcThings Many People Don't Know About Me,if I Was Using Occult Power, This Is What by Hollicom(op): 2:11pm On Jul 24, 2016
Pastor TB Joshua, the founder of The Synagogue Church of All Nations in this interview with The News reveals some of the things many people don't know about him:

Many people are confused and they keep asking; what is the source of your power? There are critics who keep saying you use demonic or occult power, while others think otherwise.
The source of my power? It is written that by their fruits, you shall know them. If I open my mouth and say this is the source of my power, it would seem I am arrogant or boasting. Rather, I should boast about what God is doing in my life. It is by this kind of trial that you know the true minister of God.

So, if I am not of God, I will not survive this trial. But if I am of God, this trial will not destroy me. Trial is the soil in which faith flourishes. God sees his own people through trial.

Let me ask once again, what is the source of your power, the secret?
I said God. Jesus comes to give abundant life, while satan comes to kill and to destroy.
Are you saying that I use demonic powers to deceive all these foreigners you see around Synagogue here? Right now I am talking to you, there are over 400 foreigners from 10 different countries here. Are these people being deceived, destroyed or killed (as my detractors alleged)? If I have been using occultic power, the congregation here will not increase.

We read somewhere that you studied mysticism in India…
I have never visited India. It is a lie.

All these criticism must be a big weight on you…
Whatever happens, I give myself to prayer. When people hate or criticize you in spite of all you do, remembers Christ’s rejection. If Jesus Christ, himself could be ill-treated and called names, (he was even accused of using the power of Belzebub, the King of the devils), who am I, a mere servant, to feel exceptional?

Foreign AffairsGeneral Behind Turkish Coup Charged With Treason • Eight Rebel Officers Flee To by Hollicom(op): 10:18am On Jul 17, 2016
Istanbul’s most senior soldier has been charged with treason as eight leading members of the plot to overthrow the government fled to Greece.

General Erdal Ozturk who commanded the Third Army Corps has been detained and is facing treason charges for his role in the aborted coup.

His men attempted to seize strategic locations across Istanbul last night when they were confronted by thousands of unarmed civilians who came out in support of President Recep Erdogan.

Erdogan has suggested the ringleaders could face the death penalty even though Turkey abolished capital punishment as part of its attempts to join the European Union.

Turkish officials have said 161 civilians have killed and 1,440 wounded.

Almost 2,900 troops have been arrested, including at least two generals.

Eight soldiers landed in Alexandroupolis today and tried to claim asylum in the EU state, after a coup in neigbouring Turkey that left more than 250 people dead.

Turkish foreign minister Mevlut Cavusoglu immediately demanded that the captain, two majors and five privates were returned ‘immediately’ to Turkey where they would face punishment.

Two majors, a captain and five privates have landed in the EU nation in a military helicopter today, according to Turkish Dogan news agency

Greece claimed it would have to consider international laws before returning them, although it promised to send the helicopter back.

However, Mevlut Cavusoglu has said that Greece has now promised to return the ‘treacherous soldiers’ to be punished in Turkey.

The news comes after Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildrim said the nation would consider bringing back the death penalty to deal with them, after it was abolished in 2004.

The blackhawk helicopter landed in Greece today after a night of violence in Istanbul, where more than 1,500 people were injured.

Some 104 plotters were killed, while more than 200 people – at least 41 of them police officers and 47 civilians – fell as ‘martyrs’.

Footage shows Greek officials leading the men out in handcuffs after they were arrested for illegal entry into Greece.

A spokeswoman for Greece, Olga Gerovasili, today said that they are in contact with Turkish authorities and will arrange ‘the return of the military helicopter as soon as possible’.

As for the eight military passengers, she said: ‘We will follow the procedures of international law.

Politics#dasukigate: Obanikoro Accuses EFCC Of Evidence Forgery..... by Hollicom(op): 11:10am On Jul 10, 2016
Former Minister of State, Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro has accused the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of plans to manufacture receipts from blank letter headed papers collected from his Lagos home.
He raised the alarm Friday evening through his media aide, Jonathan Eze.
Obanikoro who disclosed that the blank letter headed papers were among the things carted away during the raid of his home, added that the anti-graft agency was planning to use them to forge acknowledgement reciepts.
The former Minister is currently being investigated by EFCC alongside his sons over their alleged collection of N4.7billion from embattled former National Security Adviser (NSA) Colonel Sambo Dasuki.
“Recall that when the EFCC illegally raided my houses in Lagos, they went away with various documents which included blanked signed letter headed papers as testified in the Affidavit sworn in Court.
“It has however come to my notice that the EFCC has allegedly written an acknowledgement on one of the document purportedly as evidence that I collected the equivalent sum of one million dollars in cash from a Bureau De Change and signed for it.
“This is another lie from the pit of hell. How can anybody change money from a Bureau De Change and sign for it? I still insist that throughout my stay as Minister, I never collected any money from any Bureau De Change and as such, I urge the public to ignore the EFCC who are trying to skew up investigations in its favour.
“The EFCC has obviously betrayed public trust by its latest sinister plan of manufacturing receipt in my name. Instead of genuinely carrying out its mandate, it has been grossly overshadowed by political wiles,” he said.
Continuing, Obanikoro recalled a media report quoting EFCC they had evidence of his receiving the cash.
“The paper said: the owner of A.A. G. B. S Oil and Gas confirmed to us that the company is a BDC but was only bearing the name of an oil company. He confirmed that he received N168m from Sylvan McNamara and $1million was delivered to Obanikoro in cash while he was the Minister of State for Defence based on the exchange rate at the time. Obanikoro acknowledged receipt of the cash and we have recovered evidence.”

PoliticsWike Of Rivers:the Boy Is Behaving? by Hollicom(op): 11:27pm On Jul 05, 2016
You remember the governor of Rivers state, Barr. Onyesom Wike was summoned to a meeting by the President sometimes in May, 2016, to the Presidential Villa where her confronted with series of Security Reports on him and its implications on the region. Wike was advised to meet with his governor colleagues in the South South but rather than taking the advise of the Mr. President to act on the report, Governor Wike went straight to the television stations, Channels TV to be precise, granting interviews and making press releases and debunking the insinuations that he and the other Niger Delta governors were behind the security threats and tensions in that region.
He actually reported the President's stands to his colleagues which the governor of Bayelsa quickly complied and warned all bent to destabilize the region to desists as a matter of urgency. That meeting with the Ondo state governor in attendance did wonder and the subsequent one of the Niger Delta governors with the Vice President when the President went on "medical vacation" in June douse down the tension which has brought the militants to only resolved to paper noise making of late.
The deployment of the Military in the region brought a serious signs that this regime is serious and ready to deal decisively with any recalcitrants governor whose state is a security threat but for the intervention of the British and American government the Niger Delta would have been smoked down by now.

Now Chief, Barr. Dr. Governor, Wike is behaving himself as he is one who now leads the security agents in his state to his boys hideouts and supervised the demolition of their camps according to The Punch Newspapers

" Meanwhile, for the second time in one week, the Rivers State Governor, Mr. Nyesom Wike, led security agencies to supervise the demolition of hideouts of notorious cult groups and kidnappers in the state."

Well Wike is learning fast to behave after seeing his colleague in crime Ayodele Fayose been warmly treated.

PoliticsTo The Religious Bigots: Read What Prof. Sola Adeyeye Has To Say. by Hollicom(op): 9:34am On Jul 04, 2016
Hitting the nail on the head:

Stigmatising President Buhari – by Prof Sola Adeyeye

This rehash of the prominent positions held by Muslims in Nigeria is mischievous and quite unfortunate. It is the typical Nigerian game of chasing needless shadows rather than focusing on the arduous task of nation building.

Until recently, so-called Christians held commanding heights of the economic governance of our Republic. The Presidency, Headship of National Assembly, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Head of Service, Ministry of Works, Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank, the NNPC, the Stock Exchange etc were headed by so-called Christians.

Tragically, they reprobately superintended the profligate looting of our common patrimony. The lone voice of courageous warning belonged to a certified Muslim, Sanusi Lamido, who succeeded Soludo and was hounded for his courage to expose the cult of looters comprising so-called Christians.

Yes, the metastasis of economic ruins in Nigeria was gestated by these Christians. They reduced Pentecostalism to a reprobate pente-rascality whereby the Dukes and knights of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria and the Christian Association of Nigeria became errand boys in the corridor of accursed political power. Their private jets were the conveyors of stolen money!

Tunde Fashola is a Muslim. He now heads what used to be three big ministries. Was he chosen because of his religion? He was chosen because of his track record!

The dust will settle in Nigeria. Change will come despite predictable resistance from reactionary principalities and forces. Hackneyed references to issues that divide rather than unite us whether by Muslims or Christians, are age-long stumbling blocks to progress.

It really is a shame when well educated Nigerians, whether Muslim or Christian, wobble themselves in religious intolerance. Unfortunately, the intolerance is nursed by some imams and pastors mouthing poorly considered facts. Even if seemingly compelling, facts degenerate into half-truths when they are placed, as is often the case, outside of proper context.

The toxicity of half-truths rarely emanates from the profligacy of falsehood but rather from the subtle distortion of truth! Blatant falsehood is intuitively obvious and as such easy to reject. By contrast, when truth is softly bent, it takes great discernment to perceive its toxicity.

The Constitution of Nigeria enshrines that every state must be represented in the Cabinet of the Federal Government. Even those of us who feel that this, by itself, creates a cabinet that is too unwieldy, must tolerate such a provision until our pluralistic, multi-ethnic and multi-religious republic evolves into organic nationhood. As such, whoever is the President of Nigeria must have a minimum of 36 Ministers.

Of the six ministers representing the Southwestern states, two (Fashola from Lagos and Shittu from Oyo) are Muslims while four are Christians (Adeosun from Ogun, Adewole from Osun, Fayemi from Ekiti and Daramola from Ondo). All the five ministers from the Southeastern states are Christians as are all six ministers from the states of the south-south. In other words, of the 17 ministers from southern Nigeria, 15 are Christians while 2 are Muslims.

In the North-Central, Audu Ogbe from Benue, Solomon Dalong from Plateau, James Ocholi (now deceased) from Kogi are Christians. The remaining three ministers from that zone are Muslims. Even if all the ministers from Northeastern and Northwestern states are Muslims, we are left with a Federal cabinet comprising 18 Christians and 18 Muslims! We have a devout Muslim as President and a no less devout Christian as Vice President.

The current composition of the Federal Executive Council is one in which only liars will complain that Christians have been marginalized. When in the history of Nigeria has a traveling President transmitted power to the VICE PRESIDENT? That is what Buhari does each time he travels.

Now let us move to the legislature. Of the 10 Principal Officers of the Nigerian Senate, only three (Saraki, Ndume and Na’alla) are Muslims! The remainder (Ekeremadu, Adeyeye, Alimikhena, Akpabio, Aduda, Bwacha and Olujimi) are Christians! Adeyeye and Bwacha are lay preachers. The House of Representatives is headed by a Christian. With such a composition, the Nigerian Legislature is not a place where Christians can be said to be marginalized. In fact, few people realize that there are more Christians than Muslims in the Nigerian Senate.
Now let us go to the Judiciary. How many judges of the Supreme Court has Buhari appointed? The answer is Zero! Is it fair to blame him for appointments that predated his own election into office? The fear of God, the love of country and basic human decency dictate that we reject an amalgamation of intellectual sophistry with the dereliction of truth.
Unfortunately, it is quite easy for detractors to pick and choose their facts in a manner that allows malignant campaigns of calumny.
Professor Adeoye Adeniyi, a former Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, was a deacon at Oritamefa Baptist Church Ibadan. He was the Chairman at my wedding. He was also our pediatrician. When he was leaving the University of Ibadan to head the College of Medicine at Ilorin in 1978/79, he handed Oluwatobi (our daughter) to a Moslem doctor in his Department. I asked him why he did not hand us to a Christian. Professor Adeniyi smiled and said, “you do not need a Baptist or for that matter a Christian doctor; you need a pediatrician who will respond even if you call after midnight!”
I enjoy air travels. Sometimes, the plane gets to very rough and bumpy weather. At such times, my concern is not whether the pilot can speak in tongue or prophesy! Rather, one hopes that the pilot knows what to do in a storm even if he were a Buddhist or Moslem. May God guide our Muslim President aright as we wade through the fierce storms of contemporary Nigeria.
By Prof. Olusola Adeyeye, a Nigerian biologist, politician and the Chief Whip 8th Senate of Federal Republic of Nigeria.
PoliticsOne Of These Standing Trial, Allowed His Village To Be Overrun By A Rag-tag Army by Hollicom(op): 7:49am On Jul 04, 2016
The Federal Government has charged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to leave no stone unturned in the prosecution of serving and retired senior military officers undergoing trial for corruption and other related offences.

Trials of military chiefs alleged to have been involved in one corrupt act or the other had since commenced in various courts. Such corrupt act is broadly divided into two parts – diversion of arms procurement funds and bribery.

NEW TELEGRAPH learnt that the government is dis-turbed that 12 military officers, both serving and retired, are being prosecuted in various Lagos and Abuja courts for cumulative N94.7 billion frauds in relation to arms procurement.

“We are disturbed that so much fraud was perpetrated by senior military officers in the course of discharging their duties. There is a matching order from the Presidency to recover the looted funds. “We are afraid that the figures will go up when the 13-man audit panel on arms procurement releases its report on the Nigerian Army and the final report.

What we have now is just the report on the Nigerian Air Force,” a source said. The source added that President Muhammadu Buhari has mandated the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), to provide all needed legal support to the EFCC to ensure effective prosecution of the cases.

The thinking of the Presidency is that the recovery of the looted funds would go a long way to address some challenges in the system. In the trial, N93.84 billion were fraud-related cases while N851.1 million were cumulative amount paid in form of bribes to serving and retired officers of the Air Force. Interestingly, three successive Chiefs of Air Staff are facing trial for alleged N31.57 billion fraud.

They are: a former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh; former Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Muhammed Dikko Umar and another former Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Adesola Amosu. A former commander of the Niger Delta Joint Task Force, Major General Emmanuel Atewe, is standing trial for allegedly swindling Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) to the tune of N19.7 billion.

Others in the arms scandal deal are Air Vice Marshal Jacob Bola Adigun, Air Commodore Gbadebo Owodunni Olugbenga, Air Officer in charge of Tactical Air command, Makurdi, Air Vice Marshal Rufus Ojuawo and a former Chairman, Presidential Implementation Commit tee on Maritime Safety (PICOMMS), Air Vice Marshal Saliu Atawodi (rtd.). In the bribery trial, all defendants are officers of the Nigeria Air Force.

They are a Director of Armament with NAF, Air Vice Marshal John Adeniyi Kayode-Beckly; Air Officer Training Command and a member of the Committee for Procurement, Ministry of Defence, Air Vice Marshal Alkali Mohammed Mamu and Chief of Training and Operations of the Nigerian Air force, Air Vice Marshall Olutayo Tade Oguntoyinbo. All the defendants had, in their various trials, pleaded not guilty and the trials are ongoing.

While former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki, is standing trial over alleged diversion of $2.1 billion and N45 billion arms deal money before three different courts, Badeh is standing trial before the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja over alleged diversion of N3.97 billion belonging to NAF. Umar, on his part, is also facing trial before the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, over alleged diversion of N4.8 billion, which also belonged to NAF.

However, Amosu and two ex-top Air Force officers – Air Vice Marshal Jacob Bola Adigun and Air Commodore Gbadebo Owodunni Olugbenga – are standing trial before a Federal High Court, Lagos over alleged fraud to the tune of N22.8 billion.

For Atewe, he is standing trial before the Federal High Court, Lagos for allegedly swindling NIMASA to the tune of N19.7 billion. Atawodi is inside the dock for allegedly defrauding the government to the tune of N600 million through suspicious contracts to procure military boats.
While Ojuawo was arraigned on a two-count charge of allegedly receiving a gift of N40 million and a car valued at N29.2 million from a contractor, Kayode- Beckly was docked for allegedly collecting the sum of N10 million as gratification from a contractor.
For Mamu, the Federal Government is prosecuting him on a three-count charge bothering on bribery to the tune of N5.9 million. Human rights activist, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN), expressed satisfaction with the trial of the serving and retired military officers for corruption.
“Criminal suspects are the same. Just like we are talking about politicians, who are alleged to have looted the treasury, there is no difference between the military and civilian wings of the Nigerian political dynasty. There is no difference in terms of ideas, worldview and primitive accumulation of assets.
“They are one and the same and that is what is manifesting in the ongoing revelations.” Falana told New Telegraph that the trial of the officers has not caused any bad blood in the military. His words: “There is nothing that has caused any bad blood in the military.
I am sufficiently close to the rank and file of the military; those who have borne the brunt of the criminal looting and diversion of money meant for procurement of arms, which had led to loss of over 25,000 men, comprising of soldiers and civilians.
So, there is nothing to worry about over the trial of the military officers. “In fact, many of the soldiers are happy. Those who are languishing in prison custody and others who were dismissed illegally are happy over the development. So, their trial won’t cause any bad blood because people betrayed their country.

ANOTHER TAKE ON LT. GEN. TUKUR BURATAI

Written by Gloria Eluebo Adagbon.

Since the news of allegation against Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, I have taken my time to look at the facts, scrutinise them, ask questions and verify the answers.

Now let's look at the issues raised therein:

✳️ Did Buratai deny owing the said properties? NO.

✳️ Did Buratai declare them in his assets declaration? YES.

✳️ Did Buratai own the properties alone? NO, he jointly own them with his two wives.

✳️ Are the Buratai's the sole owners of the properties? NO, they are investors.

✳️ According to the facts made available, the properties are like quoted companies. You buy into them and get dividends as profit from your investment.

Are public funds involved in the properties? No, the Buratai's used their personal savings to invest.

✳️ Is having a farm - a family business against the law? NO. The 1999 Constitution (as amended) under Fifth Schedule Part 1- permits a public officer to engage in farming.

✳️ Does the farm generate income? YES.

✳️ On the allegations of motor cycles, it has been verified that the rugged buffalo vehicles are not only brand new but they are 2014 model that were imported from Libya.

✳️ Is Buratai a good soldier? YES.

✳️ As COAS, has he succeeded in degrading the dreaded Bokoharam terrorists? YES.

✳️ Did he teach the lawless Shi'ttes a lesson? YES.

✳️ Has Buratai restored the dignity of the Nigerian Army? YES.

✳️ Has Buratai restored pride, bravery and courage of our soldiers? YES.

✳️ Are the sponsors of Bokoharam happy with Buratai? NO.

✳️ Are the enemies of Nigeria happy that Bokoharam is being shown hell? NO.

✳️ Are the Avengers happy? NO.

✳️ Are the economic terrorists happy with Buratai? NO.

✳️ Are the military chiefs who profited from evil insurgency happy with Buratai leadership? NO.

✳️ Are the corrupt elite squad happy with Buratai? NO.

✳️ Are we happy with the job you have done and are still doing? YES

Dear Lt. Gen. Buratai, we are proud of the leadership you have brought to bear in Nigeria Military. So long as no public funds have been traced to you, so long as you declared the assets, so long as you have clarified the whole issue, as you have done, the plans to destabilise the anti terrorism fight will fail.

We that are with you are MORE than those against you. You have our VOTE OF CONFIDENCE. Keep, keeping us safe. Keep doing the excellent job of protecting the territorial integrity of our country. The security and peace of this country is non negotiable.

We got your back covered!!

PoliticsOlisah Metuh Made A Reverse And Agreed To Pay N400 Million by Hollicom(op): 10:09pm On Jun 30, 2016
Olisa Metuh, former spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), says he is ready to return the “contentious” N400m as a sign of support for President Muhammadu Buhari’s anti-corruption war.

Metuh said this in a statement by his lawyer, Onyechi Ikpeazu (SAN), on Thursday.

My Take:

Now that the goats are bleating and vomiting our swallowed yams and even singing solidarity songs with President Buhari, I dare to say that it's a sign of a better and corruption free Nigeria.

The say Change is constant and difficult but it is also desirable to heal the many ills besetting our Nation.

When those who were once staunch antagonists of CHANGE and Anti corruption crusade are volunteering to be soldiers in the war against corruption, it then shows that the president is succeeding and Nigeria is winning.

After Olisa Metuh, who next? I'm definitely looking in the direction of the defiant Fani Kayode, who is raising dusts by appealing to religious sentiments, claiming he's being persecuted because he's a Christian. But very soon, he'll start singing like a parrot once he goes to Kuje when the luxury and comfort of his Abuja Mansion turn their back on him. He should be reminded that, in Kuje prison, inmates do not have the luxury of air-conditioned apartments or doses of strong substances.

I'm just telling him, just in case he didn't know. He should ask Senator Sheu Sani, a self confessed regular inmate of Nigeria prisons in the days of the draconian Sani Abacha.

Nairaland GeneralNigerians React To The Ooni Of Ife’s ‘jesus Is My Father’ Comment by Hollicom(op): 8:40pm On Jun 30, 2016
During his recent trip to the U.S, the Ooni of Ife visited the Redeemed Christian Church of God with his Olori.

However, this video of him singing ‘Jesus is my father’ just went viral and Nigerians had so much to say about it.

According to some, the Ooni of Ife should only propagate the religion of his ancestors.

They believe he should act as the custodian of Yoruba traditions and beliefs.

Because even the Pope will always represent the church.

Some believe every Nigerian monarch should have the freedom to practice whatever religion they want.

Especially someone who was practicing his own religion before becoming the Ooni.

#QUESTIONS!!!

Should the Yoruba people move with the times and accept this change?

Is the outrage from Nigerians a double standard? Considering the fact that some Nigerians find the Yoruba traditional beliefs barbaric.

Can’t the Ooni be a Christian while propagating his own culture?

What do you think about the Ooni's declaration for Jesus?

It's an abominable declaration. ?
He has the right to do whatever he wants. ?
He should be private about his personal religious beliefs. ? Why are people even questioning a King's actions? ?

Interesting read my people!
Open Letter To Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu
By Adeyinka Adebayo
Iyin-Ekiti
My dear Asiwaju,
I am compelled to write this open letter to you
because of the state of affairs of the Yoruba
nation. Firstly, I wish to acknowledge that fate
has put you in a prime position to determine to a
large extent the direction that the Yoruba people
will go. The indisputable truth is that one may
quarrel with your politics but your sagacity is
never in doubt. Even those who don't see eye to
eye with you agree that you are imbued with
unusual native intelligence, uncommon people
skills and unrivaled foresight. You, more than any
other person, has been the game changer since
the advent of democracy in 1999. It is for these
reasons that I have chosen to direct this letter to
you.
My singular purpose is to tug at the strings of
your heart. I am not writing to appeal to partisan
considerations but to see, if per chance, I can
pour out my heart to you in a manner of
speaking. God has blessed you even beyond your
wildest imagination. You have installed Senators
and Governors. You have removed Governors and
even a President. You have also installed a
President. There is nothing you have wished for
or desired that you didn't get. Fortune has smiled
on you. Goodwill follows you everywhere you go.
You have done very well- more than most men
ever will. However, there is one area that is
begging for your urgent attention. This area may
well define you and all you have ever achieved.
This matter, in my opinion, is the only difference
between you and the late sage, Chief Obafemi
Awolowo. Let me restate for the purpose of
emphasis that this is the area in which the late
sage and Leader of the Yorubas stand head and
shoulders above you. It is the reason his name
has been a constant denominator in our regional
and national politics. It is the reason politicians,
friends and foes invoke his name for political
advantage and personal glory. It is also the
reason why we can't stop talking about him
almost thirty years after his death. What will
anyone say about you thirty years after you have
transited?
Asiwaju Sir, you may be wondering what I'm
talking about? It is the issue of legacy.
According to Peter Strople, 'Legacy is not leaving
something for people, it is leaving something in
people'. Legacy is building something that
outlives you. Legacy is greater than currency. In
the words of Leonard Sweet, ' What you do is
your history. What you set in motion is your
legacy'. You can't live forever, Sir. No one can.
But you can create something that will. Enough
of speaking in parables- I shall now speak
plainly.
When destiny brought you on the scene, we were
enamoured because you championed the case
for true federalism. It was your belief then that
the Yoruba nation will fare better under a
restructured arrangement than under the type of
unitary government we run while pretending by
calling it a federal government. Everyone knows
that there is nothing federal about our
government at all. If truth must be told, the
Yoruba nation has fared very badly since the
advent of our new democracy. And this is not
about holding power at the centre.
Let me bring this home: someone passed a
comment recently that he would want Biafra to
become a reality because he knows the Igbo
nation will survive. That comment led me to
deeper introspection as I wondered if the
Yorubas can truly survive. Let me cite my first
example. From Oyo to Osun, Ogun to Ondo, Ekiti
to Kwara and Lagos, hardly will one see any
serious industry or manufacturing concern owned
by a Yoruba person. I am not talking about
portfolio businesses or one-man business
concerns. Most industries in Oyo State are
owned by the Lebanese. The native business and
industry gurus who dominated the landscape-
Nathaniel Idowu, Amos Adegoke, Lekan Salami,
Alao Arisekola, Adeola Odutola, Jimoh Odutola,
Chief Theophilus Adediran Oni and others- are all
gone with no credible replacements. I'm sure you
remember the tyre factory of the Odutolas and
how Jimoh Odutola was even asked by the Governments of Kenya and Ghana to set up a
similar factory in their countries. Chief
Theophilus Adediran Oni, popularly called T.A Oni
& Sons started the first indigenous construction
company in Nigeria. He willed his residence-
Goodwill House, to the Oyo/Western state
government, to be used as a Paediatric Hospital,
which is now known as T.A Oni Memorial
Children Hospital at Ring Road in Ibadan. This
sprawling family Estate and residence was cited
on a 15acre piece of land, 65 rooms, with modern
conveniences, Olympic Swimming Pool and
stable for Horses, etc.
People like Chief Bode Akindele started
companies like Standard Breweries and Dr
Pepper Soft drink factory at Alomaja in Ibadan.
Broking House built by the late Femi Johnson, an
insurance magnate, still stands glittering in the
mid-day sun as an epitome to a rich history that
Ibadan has. The most serious and only notable
Yoruba entrepreneur we have now is Michael
Adenuga. I say this quite consciously because
most of the other names are oil and gas barons.
Most of what stood as testaments of industry in
Oyo State are gone- Exide Batteries, Leyland
Autos and many others. In its place are shopping
malls and road side markets but no nation
develops through buying and selling alone-
especially when you're not actually producing
what you're selling. Hypermarkets and
supermarkets have taken over because of the
need to feed our insatiable consumer-appetite
and foreign tastes. In one instance, an ancient
landmark in the form of a hotel was demolished
to pave way for a mall. That is how low we have
sunk. If our past is better than our present- if we
always look back with nostalgia frequently, then
there is a problem.
The case of other states is not different. Osun's
case is pathetic. Ditto for Ondo and Ekiti. Ogun
State can boast of some factories at Sango-Otta
and Agbara axis but most of them are not owned
by the Yorubas. There is no significant
pharmaceutical company owned by any Yoruba
except for Bond Chemicals in Awe, Oyo State-
and its wallet share is very insignificant. For
Lagos State, more than 70% of the manufacturing
concerns and major industries in the State are
owned by the Igbos. If the Igbos were to stop
paying tax in Lagos State, the IGR of Lagos State
will reduce by over 60%. In contrast, Sir, go to
the South East and look at the manufacturing
concerns in Onitsha, Aba and Nnewi. Please
don't forget those were areas ravaged by civil
war a mere forty something years ago. The Igbos
have certainly made tremendous progress but
the Yoruba nation has regressed. I wish to state
that this letter is not meant to whip up primordial
considerations or ethnic sentiments but just to
put things in proper perspective.
Asiwaju, I will like to also talk about the state of
education in the Yoruba nation. Our education
has gone to the dogs. We have a bunch of mis-
educated and ill-educated young men and
women roaming the streets. Ibadan, for instance,
had the first University in Nigeria and the first
set of research centres in Nigeria ( The Forestry
Research Institute, the Cocoa Research Institute
(CRIN), The Nigerian Cereal Research Institute
Moor Plantation (NCRI), the NIHORT (Nigerian
Institute of Horticultural Research), the NISER
(Nigerian Institute of Social and Economic
Research), IAR&T (Institute of Agriculture,
Research and Training), amongst several others).
Ibadan was the bastion of scholarship with
people like Wole Soyinka, JP Clark, D.O Fagunwa
and Amos Tutuola as residents. In the May/June
2015 West African Senior Secondary Certificate
Examination, Abia came tops. Anambra came
2nd while Edo was 3rd. Lagos placed 6th while
Osun and Oyo was 29th and 26th. Ekiti was 11th,
Ondo State was 13th and Ogun State was 19th.
In 2013 WASSCE, only Lagos and Ogun States
were the Yoruba States above the national
average. If we do an analysis of how Lagos
placed 6th in 2015, you will discover that it was
substantially because of other nationalities
resident in Lagos. For proof, please look no
further than the winners of the Spelling Bee
competition which has produced One-Day
Governors in Lagos State. Since inception in
2001, other nationalities have won the
competition six times (Ebuka Anisiobi in 2001,
Ovuwhore Etiti in 2002, Abundance Ikechukwu in
2006, Daniel Osunbor in 2008, Akpakpan Iniodu
Jones in 2011 and Lilian Ogbuefi in 2012). Sir,
there is something seriously wrong about our
state of education. From the vintage times of
Obafemi Awolowo who initiated 'free education',
we have regressed into a most parlous state.
Let me talk about roads, housing and
infrastructure . The first dualized road in Nigeria,
the Queen Elizabeth road from Mokola to Agodi
in Ibadan was formally commissioned by Queen
Elizabeth in 1956. The first Housing Estate in
Nigeria is Bodija Housing Estate (also in Ibadan)
which was built in 1958. The state of roads in
the Yoruba nation has become pathetic. Our
hinterland are still largely rural. Even some state
capitals like Osogbo and Ado-Ekiti are big
villages when you compare them to towns in the
South East. How many new estates have been
built over the last decade? Even Ajoda New
Town lies in ruins.
We have abandoned the farm settlement strategy
of the Western Region and only pay lip service to
agriculture. Instead of feeding others like we
once did, others now feed us. We plant no
tomatoes, no pepper and the basic food that we
require. The Indians have bought the large
expanse of water body that we have in
Onigambari village. The water body in Oke Ogun
of Oyo State can provide enough fish to feed the
whole of the South West. From being a major
cocoa exporter many years ago, one can point to
just a few vestiges of factories that still deal with
Cocoa in the Yoruba nation. 80% of Cocoa
processing industries in the South West have
been shut down. The Chinese have taken over
the cashew belt at Ogbomoso in Oyo State. They
have even edged out the indigenes as brokers.
They now come to the cashew belt to buy from
the local farmers, sell on the spot to other
Chinese exporters who now process the cashew
nuts and import them back into Nigeria at a
premium. Sir, there are only 7 major cashew
processing plants in Nigeria and you can check
out the ownership. The glory has departed from
the Yoruba nation.
Apart from Asejire, Ede, Ikere Gorge and Oyan
dams built ages ago, where are the new dams to
cater for increased population and water
capacity for the Yoruba nation? How have we
improved on what our heroes past left us?
Maybe apart from certain areas in Lagos State,
others can't even supply their citizens with pipe-
borne water.
Our youth which we used to take pride in are
largely a mass of unemployed and unemployable
people. Have you noticed the abundance of
street urchins, area boys, touts and 'agberos'
that we now have all across the Yoruba nation?
Have you noticed the swell in the ranks of
NURTW (I mean no disrespect to an otherwise
noble union)? Have you noticed the increase in
the number of Yoruba beggars? There was a time
that it was taboo for a Yoruba man to beg- but
no more. The spirit of apprenticeship is dead.
There was a time that people who learn
vocational skills celebrate what we referred to
as 'freedom'. While that is largely moribund now
in the Yoruba nation, the Igbos still practice it
with great success.
The only thing we can boldly say the Yoruba
nation controls is the information machinery- the
press. We own largely the newspapers- the
Nation, Punch, Nigerian Tribune, TV Continental
and a few others. It is because of our control of
this information machinery that we have
rewritten the narrative in the country with the
misguided self-belief that things are normal and
we are making progress. A look beyond the
surface will prove that this is so untrue.
We are largely divided. For the first time in the
history of the Yoruba nation, religion is about to
divide us further- and it is starting from Osun
State. You are married to a Christian. My own
father-in-law is an Alhaji. That is how we have
peacefully do-existed but the fabrics are about
to be torn to shreds because of poor
management of issues. Afenifere has been
reduced to a shadow of itself. OPC that once
defended Yoruba interests has gone into oblivion.
Yoruba elders have been vilified in the name of
politics and partisanship. It is no longer news to
see teenagers throwing stones at their elders
because of their political indoctrination. Even
under the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, the
Yorubas never belonged to just a single party-
yet our unity was without blemish. Now, our
values have gone down the drain.
Asiwaju, I believe I have said enough. The task is
Herculean but I believe Providence has brought
you here for such a time like this. It is time for
the Yoruba nation to clean up its acts. What do
we really want? How can we quickly right the
wrongs? The Yoruba nation is in a state of
arrested development. The Yoruba nation is
gasping for breath and crying for help. Will you
rise up to the occasion? I am aware you
understand that all politics is local and charity
begins at home. Our fathers gave us a proverb:
'Bi o'ode o dun, bi igbe ni'gboro ri'. I know there
are no quick fixes but I also know that if there is
anyone who has the capacity to do something
about our current situation, that person is you.
This should be the legacy you should think of.
Your legacy is our future.
Yours Very Sincerely,
Adebayo Adeyinka

The Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has warned security agencies, Interpol, the Presidency and United Nations of the possibility of the state being plunged into a religious crisis by Governor Rauf Aregbesola.

In a statement issued in Osogbo by the PDP spokesperson, Prince Diran Odeyemi, the party said the “embarrassment and the insincerity of Governor Aregbesola over the hijab issue which is a diversionary tactic to cover up his mismanagement of the state human and material resources”

“Since hijab became an issue under Aregbesola’s administration in Osun, Christian Association of Nigeria CAN and Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs SCIA, have taken different positions and this portend great danger for the harmonious co-existence of people of different faith and denominations in the country.”

“PDP is particularly happy that the issue of hijab has exposed to the entire country the character of Osun State governor and his divide and rule system of diverting people’s attention against his inadequate knowledge of governance and total mismanagement of the state.”

“If the issue is not well managed, Aregbesola’s confusion may spread to other states just like the payment of half salary to workers which has now spread to other states.”

“Is the Federal Government aware that Osun no longer uses 6-3-3-4 system of education nor sing the National Anthem which are the first misstep of Aregbesola’s administration.”

“Schools were lumped together under the guise of reclassification, several strange initiatives such as same uniform for all schools in the state, obnoxious and double taxation and other policies that confused rather than enhanced governance were introduced just to benefit few Lagos based individuals and sponsors.”

PoliticsBuhari Needs To Be More Transparent About His Personal Finances by Hollicom(op): 9:41am On Jun 20, 2016
Seriously Saint Buhari needs to be more transparent about his personal finances. He still hasn't done a public declaration of his assets nor directed top government officials to do same. With his current court battle over WAEC certificate, the maths just doesn't add up.

MATHEMATICS OF THE DAY!

How much is Buhari's basic annual salary? N14m.

How much does a SAN charge for his legal fee? N150m. Some even charge as much as N250m. Junior counsels charge most times N5m to N10m.

How many years has Buhari stayed in office? 1 year and 3 weeks.

How many SANs did Buhari hire to defend him in court? 13. How many junior counsels did he hire to represent him?; 10.

Now, I want you to do the mathematics. Multiplying how much he has earned as total salary and allowances since he came in, the total amount the SANs and junior counsels he hires are worth and then tell us where Buhari is getting the billions he is paying to SANs to defend him over ordinary WAEC Certificate.

PoliticsCertificate: Presidency Knocks Lawyer For Granting Out-of-court Press Interview by Hollicom(op): 9:22pm On Jun 19, 2016
The Presidency on Sunday chided a private lawyer, Mr. Nnamdi Nwokocha, for attempting to prejudice public opinion against President Muhammadu Buhari over his alleged lack of secondary school certificate by declaring the president guilty on the pages of newspapers.
Reacting to Nwokocha’s press interviews, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, said it was unfair for a lawyer, who is a litigant to a case in court, to go out of his way to hijack the power of a Judge by declaring Mr. Buhari guilty of what he is accused of.
Malam Shehu pointed out that newspaper pages are not alternative courts where a lawyer can declare anybody guilty of anything when the court has not formally given a definitive judgment on an issue before it.
“The two-pages interview splashed on pages 56-57 of ThisDay edition of Saturday June 11th breaches a lawyer’s ethical code and we hope that the court and the Bar Association will take notice of this”, he said.
The presidential spokesman stressed that any lawyer that sincerely believes in judicial process and the rights of other parties to a case would not have engaged in the inappropriate and unprofessional practice of trial by media, especially a situation where the litigant openly declared Buhari guilty when the court didn’t make that declaration.
He noted that gag orders emerged in the United States on account of lawyers’ inappropriate conduct on trying and convicting people on the pages of newspapers or the court of public opinion.
Mr. Shehu warned that free speech is not synonymous with recklessness and wanton abuse of the rights of other parties to a case in court.
“The litigant’s unabashed claim that he was a card-carrying member of the opposition PDP which lost power in the last election clearly indicates a scheme that seeks power by circumventing the democratic process of elections”, he said.
The presidential aide further warned that Mr. Nwokocha fails to stop his unfair and professionally inappropriate abuse of free speech, President Buhari’s competent team of lawyers will seek the instrumentality of the law in dealing with his unethical actions.
Shehu said that no one should be a litigant and be a Judge at the same time.

PoliticsBuhari Dictatorial Anti-people Policies by Hollicom(op): 11:43am On Jun 16, 2016
"Won ni k'obo ko se "amin" l'ojosi, oun se faari. O su dundun. O su o po. O su dundun. O tun s'olomi sororo" - Chief Ebenezer Obey

I hope Buhari and his followers have now seen where they dragged the economy and security of the Nigerian State. When this man came with his dictatorial anti-people policies, we cried and shouted caution especially on the issue of forex and breaching of people's Human Rights but he refused to listen because of his own choice and the jostlings of his mis-guided followers like my friend OluwaRotimi Arogundade and his team.

£ to Naira was N501 few days ago and if care is not taken with the new move of the CBN, naira could hit N1,000 to £1.

On the security aspect, we now have a country that is begging militants simply because some leaders in the past and present thought they could violate the people without any consequences.

How wrong!

Good enough, the VP and others are trying to clean Buhari's shit but I don't know why Acting President Osinbajo is not considering the invocation of the 2014 Confab Report recommendations since that is what the people are asking for and the anti-masses president is away from the country.

It's a long night!
