As far as i am concerned, i also misplaced my birth cert and did another with NPC. There aint no issue with anything.....

1) if u stay in Lagos; go to National Population Commission at Surulere with an afidavit of age declaration from the High Court along with N4000 or N5000. U will get ur birth cert in 4 working days.

2) Any original document of ur sponsor u cant lay ur hands on should be notarized(Certified True Copy) at the High Court.....

Duration - 2yrs
$37000 - books, tuition, feeding, accomodation, clothing etc... Inclusive of all cost of living.

So I am using a sponsor and a co-sponsor. Sponsor has a letter from the bank that says money in fixed deposit is for my studies. Co-sponsor wants to go swear affidavit tomorrow but doesn't know what to swear to since my sponsor stated he would cover all but not restricted to tuition, travelling, medical etc costs.

So, What do you think can be in my co-sponsor's affidavit of sponsorship. Can he say that he is willing to sponsor anything not covered by my primary sponsor or he is willing to sponsor all the things stated by my sponsor or he is willing to sponsor me with a specific and stated amount of money per year for the duration of my studies in addition to that of my sponsor? Abeg which one of the affidavits scenarios would hold more water?

Q1- the letter should say he his sponsoring u so that your needs are met unquestionably in Canada. I think He should not involve ur primary sponsor in the letter(like since pri sponsor is doing this;i will do this). Let them be independent of eachother.

Q2- ur co-sponsor should state clearly his sponsoring intentions. See ans 1....

Q3- a letter is actually more appropriate. If ur co-sponsor is a close relative u can use only a letter (u can add afidavit as well oh). If not u can if u want to since the primary sponsor has done 1 already.

Note: all letter's must be duly signed.

Lets assume u r d VO; an applicant's sponsor claims he is the manager of a company with good source of income, tenders SOA of 400k(good inflow and outflow) and fixed deposit of N30mill
And another applicant claims his sponsor his a nursery school teacher with SOA of 500k and fixed deposit of N50mill (with no proof where the money came from?)
Pls sir, who amongst the sponsor is a fraud?
These are questions u should ask; how did my sponsor get that money; is there proof; is he working at a good company? Not just jumping into conclusions.
Lastly, i will advice u go to the nearest bank around u tomorow since its late here and ask the customer care about how fixed deposit works?

My bro, yes datz exactly what i am saying.
Ur sponsor should write a letter that says a certain amount is for u (enof for all ur expenses in canada) while the oda is for his family and business.
U can get an Afidavit as well but concentrate more on d letter

My point is fixed deposit carries equal weight with SOA. A friend of mine whom applied a week after also did the same, his own case was worse! He submitted SOA of 600k and fixed deposit of ova 40mill. This guy now has his TRV oh, i guess that one was also the mood of the VO.....

Fixed deposit doesnt min u cannot touch the money anytime. U can just that there will be penalty i.e a percentage will be deducted cuz it aint matured.

I am guessing u r among those that think fixed deposit is bad for ones App. The closing balance of d SOA i submitted was not up to 2mill and my letter of admission stated clearly that i must have at least 5.4mill ($37000) a yr for my studies. I submitted fixed deposits (ova 5mill) of my parent and sponsor just to back up my financial situation and voila i was granted visa. If u have fixed deposit pls do not think short of it, it can really help ur App.

So my friend if ur sponsor has fixed deposits tell him/her to write a letter that states part or all is for ur studies(enof funds). It is even better than affidavit of sponsorship.....

Mcjimmy: The only thing is if your dad states it on tha affidavit of support that the 12m in the fixed. Deposit is meant for your schooling that is the only way the Vo can be conviced but if it's not stated on AOS then go tell your dad to make it real on his SOA sharp sharp.

Pls, can u elaborate, r u saying fixed deposit aint good enof? If yes is ur answer then u r very wrong. All his sponsor needs to do is to write a letter that states that the money in the fixed deposit is for the applicant. 'kapish...

1.1) it is not compulsory to pay tuition before submission. And for me, i bliv paying tuition upfront can help ones App cus it shows commitment and seriousness of ones sponsor

1.2) with the way things are currently going i wouldnt bet on mid October, it is ok but a risk. My Advice, if ur docs are ready pls apply tomorrow.

1.3) currently, i want to bliv both have the same processing time.

My Dad's SOA is from a fixed deposit account. He deposited 12M there some time back but going through the SOA, it states an opening balance of 50K and closing of 300K. Please bankers in the house, what is wrong and how can this be explained? My dad also got a letter from the bank that states he has 12M in a fixed deposit and it shows the interest rate, the date it was put in and the date it would mature. Can this SOA still be used in combination with the letter?

Yes and Yes, u should definately submit both both bank statements cus without the initial SOA u wouldnt have a fixed. I hope this helps.

It really depends on u guys tuition and ur dad's source of income; meaning if the source of income is very good then yes u can submit both Apps while considering both ur tuition + $10000 each for a year.

If not, give it Gap, maybe a week or two or one should apply online while the other paper.

larrswag: . as for number 1 i did that, he only showed proof of his business that is his certificate, but no property document,he has no asset yet. number 3 i didn't submit that one, i have no picture, but can i submit anybody's picture? surely i think they won't notice the trick then for number 4 i don't have any proof at all, then for number 5, my parents is not that rich and that's why i used my family friend as my only sponsor. then number 6 the school didn't request for any payment yet that time. hope you'll figure out my problem

The truth is i bliv there is no commitment. And no, u cannot use anybody's pics cus u r suppose to submit a proof of identity such as a copy of the bio-data page of ur sponsor's passport or ID card....

My school didnt ask for any deposit and my sponsor still made payments. My point is the VO is getting the impression that u just used someone's SOA to go to their country.

My advice, try to work on how u can proof to the VO that ur sponsor is genuine. Its not compulsory u submit pics if u dont have. U can also make a deposit for tuition even if it wasnt requested for by ur school.

larrswag: hello my fellow countrymen i've been silently following this trend for quite a long time,and altogether waiting for the day that i'll go and collect my document from the VFS global office.now i've done that. so this is my problem i used my family friend as a sponsor,he is a businessman and has 16 million in his account , which i submitted together with the original copy of his certificate of incoporation,sponsorship letter and letter from the bank but still i was denied because of fund and this is my first time and i manage to package it by myself . please guyz i want to apply again for next year fall 2015 and i really need your help on how to package my application, especially fund if the person you are using is not related to you.

Sorry about the delay, i used my father's friend for my App as well and it was successful though i included my mum as co-sponsor. I will like to ask a few questions just to know what went wrong.

1) did the letter of sponsorship state clearly that ur sponsor will be fully responsible for ur well-being in Canada which includes the following but not limited to tuition payments, feeding and accomodation?

2) did he/she state his/her dependants and assets in the letter? And also show proof?

3) did u show any proof of friendship ur sponsor has with ur family, did u submit any photos u and ur family took with ur sponsor?

4) if applicable, did u submit proof of academic sponsorship in the past?

5) did u submit any prop docs belonging to either u or ur parents?

6) although its not mandatory, as a sign commitment and seriousness, did ur sponsor deposit an amount or make full tuition payments?

If u can answer the above questions, we might be able to know where the issue came from.

I have been offered admission since June by conestoga but I was waiting on SAIT for an admision for petroleum engineering both for winter start.
After a call to SAIT today with no positive outcome, I have decided to pay conestoga tuition and apply with it.

I just hope I am not late hopefully 3 months wil be enough.

I just joined this trend today, and i feel elated to have seen how things are been operated here.

My brothers/sisters in the house, & my "co - winter applicants"; i got admitted into Usask for an Msc program in Elect Engineering (conditonal admission, in request of my degree certificate which is NOT been conferred since UI havent scheduled our convocation ceremony. But i was privileged to be considered for registration till the certificate is been issued ) & at present, my student visa application is under review in the Canadian embassy, Accra.

All in embryo, i urge my fellow Jan applicants, awaiting medicals/trv to remain calm & steadfast in prayers.

Though, i got a research & teaching assistantship offer from my supervisor (totalling $16000 p.a); and a funding letter stating the offer, was submitted alongside other necessary documents when i sent my package via the paper route on the 24th of July.

Till this present moment, my status still reads "being processed".

Lets keep hoping for better weeks ahead. God will definately grant US our heart desires. AMEN.

I think so cuz y would they take my urine sample! My advice to any addict, stay off cuz eventually if they detect hard drugs in ur system u might have to defer ur schooling for at least a yr since ur medics result is valuable to them (VO's) for a yr. I am just saying ........... Not so sure
