PoliticsGov. Mimiko Sacrifices Own Campaign Group For Jonathan 2015 Ambition by holyboy100(op): 2:07am On Aug 11, 2014
Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State
has concluded plan to sacrifice his
campaign group to aid President Goodluck
Jonathan’s 2015 Presidential ambition.
According to information, the Ondo State
governor will on Thursday dissolve his
campaign organisation known as ‘Iroko
Frontier’ to form another one he intend to
christen ‘Believe Nigeria, Trust Goodluck’
The National Coordinator of the new
structure, Mr Idris Usman, according to
media reports stated that, the mission of
the political group is to promote Mimiko’s
commitment to good governance and
visionary leadership of President Jonathan.
“Believe Nigeria, Trust Goodluck’ will be
officially inaugurated by Ondo State
Governor Olusegun Mimiko in support of
President Goodluck Jonathan’s re-election
campaign on Thursday, August 14, 2014.
“It is not surprising that though Mimiko is
in the Labour Party, he is throwing his
political weight behind a candidate of the
Peoples Democratic Party. The governor is
doing this because of his commitment to
good governance and the Nigeria
project”, Usman said.
He further disclosed that ‘Believe Nigeria,
Trust Goodluck’ would, after its
inauguration, swing into action through
nationwide mobilisation, seminars,
symposiums and town hall meetings.

Usman also noted that Mimiko would,
however, oversee the activities of the
group to ensure Jonathan’s re-election

DRealGeesam1: My confession and apology

Dear nairalanders and everyone who have heard of the ebola Prevention "News", My name is Adesewa, I am coming out clean because what started has a joke has escalated into the unprecedented.
How it started
Yesterday i was with friend in her hostel, we were talking about this Ebola out break, when one of my friends, Funke (she introduced me to nairaland) brought the idea of Us playing a prank on our friends. The first suggestion was to tell people that aloe very could cure Ebola, but we thought it would sound too ridiculous so we forgot about it.

Later that even an idea came to me (i now regret that i did it).
I decided to send a BBM broadcast message to my friends, telling them that the Ministry of Health has asked everyone to bathe with salt and warm water and drink some of it.
I sent the message 7:08pm yesterday

Later this midnight i started getting calls and messages that i should drink salt water and bath with it.

All efforts to tell people that i was the one who started the joke failed. Only my friends who i mentioned earlier believed me. Even my mum could me this morning, i did not know what to tell her.

I am using this medium to beg you all to warn and tell everyone, before they drink salt and damage their health.

Please dont be hash on me. I know this has gone out of hand. I never knew it will be this serious. Some have even added to the original message i sent.

APC/Aregbe.....it is very unfortunate that a
person like Aregbesola will go ahead and
keep emphasising on d killer of chief ige,"let
us know that there's God". if truly omisore
killed Chief Ige,let APC/Aregbe comes out
and present the clear evidence. let us all
remember that Chief Ige wasn't an APC
member during his life time but rather he
was one of the co-founder of the said PDP
of today,the then AD(alliance for
democracy) was formed by both Chief Ige
and Omisore in omisore's personal property
in abuja in the year 1999 which leads/pave
way to the presentation of Chief Bisi Akande
and Omisore as the governors & deputy
governor respectively in the year 1999.
Chief Ige (AD) was killed later Funsho
Williams and Steven Olagbaju(AD) was
killed. we should all be reminded that Bola
Tinubu was the Governor of Lagos when
Funsho Williams was killed,Chief Bisi Akande
was the Governor of Osun state while
Omisore was the Deputy when Chief Bola
Ige and Hon Steven Olagbaju was killed.
Viewing or Looking at the scenario
interestinly,it is maginaly cleared that the
circumstances surrounding the death of this
3 political icons is cumbersome. For APC/
Aregbe to be shouting that omisore killed
Chief is an understatement and clearly
unforseen. If Omisore killed Chief Ige,who's
the killer of the rest of the icons,(Chief Bisi
Akande or Asiwaju Bola Tinubu)?. You shall
know the truth and the truth shall set u
free.

PoliticsWho Really Killed Bola Ige? by holyboy100(op): 10:15pm On Aug 06, 2014
Oyinlola said all those accused of killing
Bola Ige were now Jonathan’s friends. He
mentioned Omisore’s travail and
detention. He asked if ” all of us should
now go to prison before we become
anything?”
If this came from a streaming mind, one
would have labelled it an unkind cut. But it
issued from another type of mind you
could not accused of fluidity. Obasanjo,
whom Oyinlola just finished praising as our
landlord, came from Abacha’s prison to
become president. Abubakar Atiku and
Ibrahim Babangida, who brought him out,
spruced him up and dumped him into the
more glorious presidential prison, are
today, among his worst enemies. Some
people would call it ingratitude. That jive
about coming from prison to be anything
is an assinine exhaust. Nelson Mandela
came from prison to become the greatest
human being of this century, so far.
But who killed Bola Ige? Let us forget for a
moment that the courts had acquitted
Prince Iyiola Omisore. Where would we
place Ige’s death? It hangs on the neck of
a treacherous friend in Otta. Oyinlola’s
lofty lord. Ige’s death is so far from
Omisore, real human beings would marvel
at the fabricated nexus.
Did anyone hear Ige’s true friends? Did we
listen to the son of his loins? Did the
people of this country countenance how
many people were murdered,
assassinated under the Obasanjo regime?
Has anyone taken cognizance of the
sudden cessation of the killing sensation
since Obasanjo went away? Oyinlola
knows more than he lets, about the death
of Bola Ige. He also knows Omisore had
no part in it. But those who could not excel
at fisticuff often employ Suarez tactics.
Just like a waning Tyson.
It is only in a comatose society like this
you could witness the likes of Oyinlola
mount a rostrum to campaign and have
some people listen. The rostrum itself is
not just a wooden contraption. It is a
sacred piece where you show up to exhibit
probity and voice oath to public spiritual
cleanness. The oath kills in bits, but its
efficacy is assured.
Oyinlola and his new-found friend, Raufu,
must remember Alabi Okoju, the Gbongan
financier of Aregbesola’s Oranmiyan
group , who was murdered by Oyinlola’s
troops? Gbongan has not forgotten.
Oyinlola speaks of killing ? He served Sani
Abacha and Olusegun Obasanjo. The two
bloody reigns which sequenced almost
seamlessly, had Oyinlola as a major
participant. No one knows the actual
figure of the souls Abacha halted. No one
knows how many died during Obasanjo’s
violent period. No one knows how many of
those executions were detailed to
Oyinlola’s desk as MILAD. No one knows
how many of the murders in Obasanjo’s
time, Oyinlola was privy to.
When Abacha was mercifully “appled”
away, we thought life had returned, but
Obasanjo’s regime saw more murders
than the regime of Abacha, by far. I began
thinking long ago that this was a soldiers’
thing. The deaf and dumb is quick to a
punch. The only tactics a soldier knows is
hidden in the trigger of his gun.
When Yar’Adua Umoru/Goodluck Jonathan
came, it suddenly dropped on me that all
those high profile murders had stopped !
The blood suckers had retreated once
more. Oyinlola would need to do more
than throw insinuations.
1. Marshal Harry
2.Aminosoari Dikibo
3.Andrew Agom
4.Ayo Daramola
5.Bola Ige.
Just a few of the murders during
Obasanjo/Oyinlola’s PDP days.
Olagunsoye Oyinlola himself was Military
Administrator of Lagos State from 1993 to
1996. This is a list of some of the human
beings murdered under his watch :
1.Babatunde Elegbede May 5, 1994.
2.Lekan Owolabi 1995
3.Tunde Ashafa Jun 11, 1995
4.Alfred Rewane Oct. 6 , 1995
5.David Izegwere 1995
6.Kayode Awosanya 1996
7.Mrs. Abiola Tajudeen Feb 9, 1996
8.Alh. Sama Kano April 8, 1996
9.Adm. Olu Omotehinwa May 22, 1996
10.Irene Obodo Jun 1996
11.KUDIRAT ABIOLA June 4, 1996 ( UAD
accused Oyinlola of being a conspirator)
12.Adejola Balogun Jun, 15, 1996
13.Esther Tejuoso Sept. 19, 1996
14. Toyin Onagoruwa Dec. 1996.
Are we to assume that Oyinlola was
absolutely oblivious of these killings which
all happened right under his nose as
administrator of Lagos State? Or that he
was simply administering treachery
according to his orders?
The new conspiracy in town is one
between the ACN whose nose was
bloodied by the Oyinlolas of our time ; The
ACN, we thought had an inkling about
political leadership, and their new inmates
in the APC, who were responsible for
hundreds of other murders.
The role of the voter in Osun State, is to
think deep and reflect on this Oyinlola
gambit and the Yoruba position as events
unfold in Nigeria. We are a huge part of
the South-West. We refuse to be shoved
around as unequal partners in the
Nigerian project. The ACN has displayed
ineptitude by an advertised preference for
their individual profit over the south-west’s
corporate political gain. They are no
longer worthy of these positions.
So many people of Yoruba and Igbo
extractions have been killed in the north
by the so-called Boko Haram, as if these
killings were a new phenomenon. We
need to de-emphasize the Oyinlolas and
Aregbesolas in our political reckoning as a
people. They are lightweights, but tangible
enough parcels to wrap and post to their
father-figures as our unequivocal rejection
of returning into that northern servitude,
which the APC represents and slaves
after.
After Osun state is recovered from them,
we proceed to another state until they
could no longer breathe these airy boasts
as the political lords of Yorubaland,
whereas, they are a bunch of treasury
looters, who rudely revel in insulting our
elders, as Oyinlola insulted Wole Soyinka,
and Tinubu wiped his mouth on the
sleeves of our Kabiyesis.
This is the season of Osun shengeshe
olooya iyun,
Awede wemo,
Awede werisa.
Let the skies tear and drop,
Let her bosom swell.
Let her votary Maid sway,
And let Yeye flood away our troubles,
Along with these tormentors,
Who blood the soil,
Lie to us,
And seek to resell us into northern
servitude.

The most pitiable speaker at today's rally
was not the skelewu dancer, it is Prince
Olagunsoye Oyinlola. He seems to have
forgotten what royalty means and the
responsibility the title 'Prince' confers on
him. He has also forgotten the distinction of
military training, where integrity and loyalty
to troop is at its most valued! What a
shame
Former Governor Oyinlola, watched as his
former adversary rubbished his work of
seven and a half years as the Governor of
Osun state. He spoke and displayed atypical
disloyalty to his Party. He expressed
vengeance with no purpose or ideology.
More dismally, he publicly confirmed his
ingratitude to Senator Iyiola Omisore whose
magnanimity made it possible for him to be
Governor in the first place.
Read below excepts of the affirmation of
HRM Oba Okunade Sijuwade when the Vice
President visited him
'"In 1999, former Attorney-General and
Minister of Justice, Chief Bola Ige, had
prevailed on me to advise Senator Iyiola
Omisore to serve as the running mate to
Chief Bisi Akande, despite the initial
agreement within the defunct Alliance for
Democracy (AD) that he would run for
governor, asking me to urge traditional
rulers in the state to support Akande. His
message was well delivered and when I
called Senator Iyiola Omisore, he did not
argue with me, but rather prostrated and
said 'God’s time is the best,'.
"Ahead of the 2003 governorship election, I
was visited by the late Chief S.M Afolabi and
his team, who confided in me that if a
primary was held in the PDP, Omisore
would win. They said I should call him again
and appeal to him to step aside in the
meantime. And when I called this young
man to appeal to him, he did not argue with
me but prostrated and said ‘Kabiyesi, God’s
time would always be the best.
"Omisore, then suggested Prince
Olagunsoye Oyinlola, who eventually
became the governor of the state in 2003'
Oyinlola wrote a new biography of his
political life presenting himself as a disloyal,
vengeful and ungrateful person. He wrote
into the annals of history that he lacks
integrity and the forbearance that
leadership requires. A previously enviable
political career dashed on the waves of
misplaced vengeance against his party and
that of his benefactor, Senator Iyiola
Omisore. He has chosen to co-habit with
people that hated him and wanted to ruin
him politically. He even went ahead to
admit that Osun people voted for
Aregbesola against him.
What a pitiable shame!
