Yes, my brother. But same law limits the extent of your "freedom" and "rights" as tucked in under some appendixes and statutes. No absolute freedom anywhere. The police is actually forewarning people on their "legitimate excuse" to unleash violence on the planned protest. It's left for you to read btw the lines. By time you'll be in court to challenge their "excuses", you would be the victim already.

Thanks,

but what of my reply to Bedexii

...the Mushark pick shows no weapons, which means we're going to adapt them, you mentioned this too point 6

Oh yes! We are weaponizing them and deploying to the front ASAP.

Given your flying experience in a similar aircraft, I'm sure you can already imagine how useful it would be as ground support aircraft with its mounted machine gun and rocket pods. That's the very essence.

But the Cessna and a world full of so many similar aircraft are none military but can become so just like the Alpha jet bought from the US that beat the Lleahy laws coming to us stripped-down. I learned that here as well as on Begeabels blog/titter, so what do you say that?

1. Most aircrafts are sold with end-users' terms in the sales contracts. So you are very likely either not be sold to at all (because NAF is part of "indicted" Nigerian military under Leah's law) or sold on terms that it shall/must not be weaponized.

2. Alpha jet is Franco-German, and I don't think any critical component is under America's controlled technology export, so it's free from their direct embargo. So it's makers aren't American, it's critical components (probably) aren't American, so America has little control over it's sales decision.

Litmus:
Now before I'm accused of appearing to not having learned anything from this splendid thread, let me state that I thoroughly enjoyed the history of the Mushark Bidexii shared here. However, when i turned 18, i thought i'd learn to fly and get me a pilot's license. Thus determined, i took myself to Biging Hill in the Uk and booked lessons with one of the flying clubs there. The aircraft i was tutored in was the Cessna 172. Turns out that the Cessna 172 is the aircraft most often used to teach newbies flying. I gave up flying, first lesson. The experience terrified me. The reason for this was that unlike commercial airlines the majority of us use when traveling abroad, the Cessna experience for me was weird. The aircraft was so slow it felt as though we were just hanging in mid-air, the whole of London spread out below. I never thought i had a problem with height until that moment. I realized, however (then and now) that as odd as it may seem, speed can be reassuring, the sense of moving from one point to another, i discovered, is why I've had no difficulty travling in a commercial ariline. When that Cessna landed, i dont mind confessing that i had an ovwhemling urge to kiss the ground.

Apologies for the anecdote above, so here's the thing. The Cessna is a common and unremarkable aircraft accessible to anyone with an interest in flying or ownership. In a sense, it is as unremarkable as muck in most regard apart from espousing its ubiquitousness and ruggedness and so on. The Cessna is propeller driven as is the Mushark, the Cessna is faster than the Mushark and seats more. Why then should the introduction of the Super Musahrk to Nigeria, a powerful Middle income, emerging Nation, be something to celebrate or be excited over?

Simple!

1. Cessna is American made
2. America has refused to sell weapons and aircraftsto Nigeria for current military use
3. Cessna would only sell for strictly civilian use to Nigeria, and never NAF because of "2" above.
4. NAF needed a cheap to maintain propeller aircraftfor ground troop support, so would have needed to weapon use Cessna
5. Super Mushshark is a good substitute without political baggage as in "2" & "3" above
6. NAF went for Super Mushshkh with intention to weaponize it for ground support role.
7. NAF can now effectively do without Brazilian and American Super Tucano with its political baggage.

Hope I was able to make that simple and clear enough?

I finally caught him, right?? Finally hard evidence to show his family that he broke his promises to contacting an ex there..that they even were thinking of his ex girlfriend to come over to America after his papers..he was encouraging it, etc..the family has intervened once I turned to hard evidence over..
I know for CERTAIN the family backs me as the true wife & that he presented me as his true wife..not only that, he lies about little stuff!!
He couldn't even admit he was drunk off his butt the other night!! Talking about he was stumbling heavy cos he was "tired"..oooooo!!
Smdh..he even can't admit when he do little things!! Like he even lie to his brothers..even his Pastor over little nonsense things (like how we overslept for church one time by accident & he wanted me to back him & tell the Pastor he had worked overnight instead!!) He claims he wants to keep a "low profile"..
Is this a common Nigerian male trait to be so prideful that he can't admit mistakes or is it just a plain lying habit?? ooooooo

Wow! I had to read through your earlier topics to understand this. Nothing I will say that Onegai hasn't said. You are so trusting and supportive, even at face of clear evidences before you. Did you say your now (temporary) husband mentioned that he's "legally engaged" with his "ex-wife" ? (I'm sure Iread you write that in your first thread). If you couldn't process that then you probably deserve tobe used (and dumped). Poor naive you. Pity pity!

I wish the lawmakers will as matter of urgency make a law under Local Contents Act (that is if it doesn't exist in this form before ) that any firms moving local jobs offshore should, her clients should get special tax (which should be at least 3x of the premium estimated cost of local labour) to serve as deterrent. You can't want to make money here in Nigeria and pay Indians for it while repatriatingthe profit.

well for me I still maintain my position 80 T72 n 40 T90.
den we can convert our Vickers to heavy IFV .

Nigerian Army needs to overhaul her inventory of equipment. We shouldbe talking of

1. minimum of 400-600 T72 tanks with latest fire control, night vision , active and reactive armour upgrades

2. Minimum of 150 T90 tanks with same spec as above.

3. Min of 1,800 mix of AFVs (tracked and wheeled), light tanks, recovery vehicles, and bridge layers

4. 600-800 MRAPs in mixed configurations

5. New towed and and wheeled artillery guns in different calibers mix

6. Conversion of chasses of T52s and Vickers to mobile SAM launchers, radar and recce vehicles

7. Start domestic production of reverse engineered SS missiles, SAMs, high caliber mortars

So all your 40-80 MBTs is going to just be for a reserve division. Analysis of mid term threats within and around us requires us to up our game. Their is good chance that another threat might grow along our NW boarder. That place has very close proximity to Mali - Chad cauldron. We need to be ready before things get too hot there. If it does, we might need to manage it alongside NE as NE wahala isn't going away soonest.

My breakfast was ready before 9am. And it is one of my favorites breakfast. Fried yam and egg. That's big improvement. The only complaint is it was prepared by her sister but I don't mind provided it is ready before 9am.

I was feeling sorry for you earlier, but after reading this St.upid post of yours i quoted above, then I conclude that you are done for.

Why did I say that? Firstly, I want to ASSUME what you wrote is true (-which is not always), in such case, you have a big problem in your hands you need to tackle head on as head of the house by making fundamental decisions and changes. But here you are gloating and feeling pacified for price of "porridge". Clap for yourself Esau. Obviously your wife isn't too busy for IG, AM, and LIB, yet relegates her wifely duties to her sister. If you don't see the anomaly in that then something is wrong with your head. If your wife doesn't know, then tell her and enforce it! Its one thing to delegate it to her sister occasionally, or part of the chore, but the " madam" thing is sickening.

Secondly, you are too available. Organize activities for yourself outside home. If you're a football person, start supporting Barcelona or Real Madrid, and go watch their matches at bars.

If 1 & 2 above still don't work, then it's finished. No pretence about it. Start winding down/exit process. Yea, your daughter, abi?...don't worry, she won't die or necessarily come out bad for it. In fact, it'd be worse for her ro grow up in a home where dad is unhappy and mum is selfish. While at it, postpone further baby making until you're convinced you can live with the situation.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, it's your life and home. Run it the way that pleases you.

Goodluck bro!

- $30billion in our Foreign Reserves,
- $2.5billion Sovereign Wealth Fund,
- $1.4billion in the ECA,
- $4.65b back taxes from NLNG.
- Buhari met an approved budget of N4.5trillion

Buhari received within a year:
- $2.7billion collected by Inland Revenue in his first 8 months.
- $2.1billion world bank loan.
- $850million Grants from UK, USA and Europe.
- Excluding crude oil sales, Joint Venture profits, Royalties, Income from Customs, NIMMSA, NPA, NACHO ......
- 3trilion on STA

More than a year has passed:
1] Not a kilometer of road constructed,
2] Not a watt of Electricity generated,
3] Not a Ward added to any Hospital in Nigeria.
4] Not a job space created, except the CBN job he shared with his cronies.
5] Not a grain of corn or tomato seed was provided to farmers. [Fertilizer subsidy taken away and handed back to ex-military men]
6] 41 foreign companies mostly in service industry have left Nigeria
7] 4.3 Million jobs lost in 10months - National Bureau of Statistics.
8] Food scarcity last experienced in Nigeria between 1983 to 1985 returned back.
9] War on Corruption turned into war against his perceived enemies. Convictions by EFCC were cases meticulously started by previous govt(s). Buhari wins cases only on the pages of Newspapers.
10] Nigeria dropped from No.1 Investment destination in Africa to No.27 before South Sudan.

12] No.3 fastest growing economy in the world to No.83 in 365days.
O
Fund collected from looters: Who knows the total? Plans to loot from looters underway.

I will pretend as if your ignorance is based on Innocent naivete, so I will help you with some answers;

- Foreign Reserve is still at $27+bn - even after heavy depletion by CBN a fortnight ago in shoring up Naira value.
- $2.5bn capital is still with the special enterprise vehicle set up to manage the fund. It hasn't been liquidated yet.
- ECA has been emptied to give state govts first bailouts in order to pay for backlogs of salaries from GeJ era.
- $4.65bn NLNG inflow has long been shared to state govt to augment low revenue.
- #4.5tn "approved budget" is no existing money. Find out meaning of public budgets for better enlightenment.
- convert that $2.7bn into naira at rate of #200=$1, which is the exchange rate within that period;
-convert $2.1bn into naira as above, then add them together;
- convert $850m into naira as above and add to previous;
- add the value of those remittances to above; then subtract from #4.5tn. Now you know where your #4.5tn went. Mind you the budget hardly made 60% performance, in other words, they hardly achieved 60% of #4.5tn.
- #3tn TSA is domiciled in TSA account with CBN.

I will spare myself from the latter list because it will require me to teach a whole SS1 syllabus on Economics in order to make you understand 80% of the points. If the earlier basic points had to be so explained to you, then it will take more to understand with the latter.

By the way, I agree PMB hasn't done fantastically well with the economy. But given the trajectory we were set on as at when he came in, he scores a good "B".

Abuja might be far away from ND but have you think of the possibility of launching right there in Abuja?
One thing i know is that there is no way they can possess such tech (but last civil war is a pointer on how desperate time can call for desperate action)to launch a medium range missile but dont let's forget some "powerful nation" might be funding them to achieve their aim of destabilizing the country. Considering the threats they've made, are we suppose to wave it as just a threat until they carry it out? In the event of such launch, i want to see how we respond to it. Very empty rant. They can't launch jackshit. Best is they fabricate crude rockets that can fly 2-3km - the tyoe Hamas and FSA shoot all over Middle East. But threatening to hit any target in far away Abuja, even Asaba or PH is silly boast of an ogogoro drunkard. RRS apprehends suspect stealing Light Up Lagos armoured cable

Fifty-two days after the commissioning of Light Up Lagos Project by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, operatives of the Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested a vandal digging up the armoured cable and removing its silver protector in the Ojota area of the state.

The suspected cable thief, Obaji Christopher, 23, from Benue State, was caught red-handed by RRS operatives who were on routine surveillance of Ojota loop, inward Ketu-Alapere Road at about 11:20am, while pulling out the cable from the ground.

Obaji, who explained to interrogators that he just got to Lagos State two weeks ago, was seen with an accomplice, still at large, digging up the armoured cable with hoe and removing its silver protector before he was arrested.

One of the RRS men who arrested the suspect, explained: “Early on Saturday morning, during our daily patrol routine, we saw the suspect where he was vandalizing the armoured cable meant to electrify Lagos at a very unsuspicious corner in Ojota.

“The cable was buried after it was laid.

“We saw him and his accomplice digging up the cable.

“He was using hoes to bring the cable to the surface, while his friend had on him a broken saw, cutting some part in the cable.

“He was unable to take to his heels because we had already surrounded the whole area.”
Upon his arrival at the RRS Headquarters, the suspect confessed to the crime, saying that poverty led him into the act.

In his confessional statement, the suspect said: “I just arrived Lagos about two weeks ago. When I had nowhere to sleep, I started sleeping inside Ojota park. It was at this park that I met one guy, simply identified as Anago, who introduced me to this job.

“Anago told me that if I was able to go for two to three operations, I will have enough money to take care of my present predicaments. On this very day, we went together to Ojota for the operation. When we got there, both of us dug the ground where the cable was buried.

“We had successfully pulled it out. But to my greatest surprise, I didn’t know how my friend escaped from the scene. When I was about to be packing the cable into a sack, I saw Policemen appeared. At this point, I didn’t know what to do again. That was how I got apprehended in the act.”

The RRS operatives further conducted thorough surveillance checks around the motor park as part of efforts to arrest his accomplice, Anago, but proved abortive as the suspect could not provide reasonable address of the fleeing assistant, adding that they met at the motor park where they both sleep every night.

RRS monitors who have kept a close watch on Light Up Lagos Project’s facilities in the area and Ogudu stretch, particularly armoured cable, observed that vandals were tampering with the facilities, thereby necessitating their close monitoring of the area.

It was learnt that the Commander of the RRS directed all officers to always check out the Light Up Lagos Project in order to protect and prevent vandals from destroying the Government’s facilities within the metropolis.

It could be recalled that the RRS on April 2, 2016 arrested a similar cable thief, Lucky Udeagwu, for stealing a 35-meter-long armoured cable meant for the State Government’s Light Up Lagos’ project in Ogudu.

While confirming the arrest, Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Superintendent of Police Dolapo Badmus, said the state would not tolerate vandalism and sabotage of Governments’ efforts.

The suspect has been transferred to SARS’s office in Ikeja.
