well, i read somewhere that largerback stated that the reason he dropped emerano was because yakubu is also as bulky as emerano and that there was no way he would have gone to the worldcup with 2 bulky strikers, that means Yakubu's got an automatic shirt, i don't see Anichebe making the list, not possible, not with largerback, so my list goes thus:

John Mikel has returned to training, but will miss this week's first squad meeting with Technical Adviser Lars Lagerback, as well as the Presidential Dinner in Abuja.

The midfiedler has started light running but is continuing his rehabilitation from knee meniscus surgery.

Nigeria President Goodluck Jonathan is expected to send off the team at a dinner in Abuja on May 20.

The day before the dinner, Lagerback will meet up with his squad for the first time since being appointed in March but Mikel's representative John Shittu told KickOffNigeria.com that the Chelsea midfielder would be unable to make the gathering

"He has started running and is training again but he is still undergoing rehab after his surgery and he will be unable to come to Abuja this week," Shittu told KickOffNigeria.com.

Mikel, who told KickOffNigeria.com that he would be out for two only weeks, is making good progress after having his torn meniscus repaired.

Shittu says he will be fit to take part in Nigeria's World Cup build-up.

"Every thing is going well, there are no complications and he will be available to take part in the preparations for the World Cup."

On Saturday, Mikel picked up an FA Cup winners medal with Chelsea despite missing the Final.

"I just got my medal in the dressing-room," he told KickOffNigeria.com after picking up the prize piece of silverware.

Nigeria play Saudi Arabia, Colombia and North Korea before their opening game on June 12 against Argentina.

Vincent Enyeama's Hapoel Tel Aviv added the Israeli League title to the State Cup with a 2-1 win at nine-man Beitar Jerusalem on a dramatic Saturday.

Gil Vermuth pounced on a poor back pass to slide Hapoel in front after 3 minutes, and Eran Zahavi made it safe deep into stoppage time after Enyeama uncharacteristically missed a penalty.

And with direct rivals Maccabi Haifa only able to draw at Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv, Hapoel claimed the title for the third ever league and Cup Double of the club's history, and the first in 10 years.

Hapoel's league challenge looked all but over last weekend, when they drew the Tel Aviv derby 1-1 at home to to local rivals Maccabi Tel Aviv.

The stumble allowed Maccabi Haifa to edge back in front with a one point lead, and with both sides playing away from home on the final day, nothing less than victory would be enough for either side.

In the end, Maccabi blinked and Hapoel held their nerve to claim their first title in over a decade.

The goalkeeper joins Taye Taiwo, John Mikel Obi and Rabiu Afolabi as well as Super Eagles players who are League champions.

Hah, i'm AA and O+ i've never had malaria! I'm in my twenties and d only time i remember ever being sick enough 2 be admitted in a hospital 4 a few hours was wen i was eight. I get mosquitoe bites often.

I weak oo, , i am AA also and have never been to the hospital since 1991, i hardly take drugs and i have been bitten by mosquitoes often time but malaria? nah i am yet to get sick for few hours this year and have never had cause to be indoors for more than one day because of malaria. so i don't think malaria and the genotype thing really work or 100% accurate. also in my twenties (late)
