Enyeama shoots Hapoel to Cup Final

Vincent Enyeama converted a second half penalty to help Hapoel Tel Aviv claim a 3-1 win over Second Division side Ironi Ramat Gan and book a place in the Israeli State Cup Final.

Hapoel will meet Dekle Aiyenugba's Bnei Yehuda, who advanced 4-3 on penalties against Ashdod FC.

The win also keeps Hapoel in line for a league and Cup double, after they dislodged Maccabi Haifa from the top of the Premier League table and are just two wins away from the title.

Itay Shechter opened the scoring for Hapoel after half an hour, and Gil Vermuth doubled the advantage nine minutes later.

Dudu Avraham raised hopes of an upset when he fired in an unstoppable volley past Enyeama, but the Nigeria first choice goalkeeper did not have to wait too long to get his pound of flesh.

Goalscorer Avraham handled the ball in the box, and Enyeama stepped up to put the game beyond doubt, and take Hapoel within touching distance of only the third ever league and Cup double in the club's history.
