cesil26: Just came back from NASRDA office at Airport Road, Lugbe
This is what I gathered so far
1, I met someone at the security post there and he said he is only aware people have been coming to get their appointment letters and for documentation and that things had been concluded
2. At the lobby or front desk, the person said everything had been concluded, and sincerely only a letter from a Senator may land you something
3 I proceeded to see how I can lobby my Senator who chairs a very important committee, and I was told the had sent names already some months back, there I was reliably informed the key men over there at NASDRA are after the cash most important as first consideration over RLs
4. Stopped by at another Senator's office from Imo State and former Governor, I was shocked to hear nothing as such has landed on their desk, aside that he doesn't write random recommendation letters rather they act on whatever is allocated to them through slot , moreover he can send out such when he calls the agency and one must really have to be sure things are going on at such place before he makes such calls
5. One House Committee Chairman reliably said all had been concluded and ended
All the same still shoot ur shot and give it a try Only senator.. what about member house of rep ? |

Managing won't get us anywhere, someone just need to talk sense into these politicians. Imagine managing a war that your other opponent is armed to the teeth. A lot of guys on this platform really want a change but the question is would you be allowed to make that change. I don't really blame officers dashing out, it not their fault. Just imagine you fighting someone that is being paid 3k dolls while some generals are busy slashing officers salary. |

Whether we like it or not if necessary stuffs are not put in place then there is no way we can win this war. As ugo pointed out that the main problem is funding.. Now looking at some scenarios for the past years( escpecially dasuki gate) and the issue of 400 million naira carted away by some soldiers oh boy will still have a long way to go. I believe everything is like this because of lack of vision. We have old cargos that are rigid, they don't want to go in the direction of the Western World. There are things you don't joke with especially the Armed forces of a particular country that's why the likes of USA, Russia and the rest are dominant because they have visionary leaders and leaders that knows the essence of security and defence.
If the FG doesn't make the right decision concerning funding the Armed forces and check if the money was spent appropriately then they are just wasting lives of troops in the battlefront. Nobody should come and tell me say money no dey this country, money dey we just have to get our acts right and do the right thing. |

[quote author=ugo4u post=83019107]They do go for courses infact if you're in SSC/RC you go read book sote your brain go shrink, that is if you don't wanna fail any exams. It's just that most courses in army are done in Nigeria(being the oldest amongst the other two arms) they've trained alot of instructors and doctrines that is unique to us. Though they still travel abroad for courses sha, now NDA now offers Post-grad degrees, and at the home of Infantry (Jaji) lots of courses ranging from special warfare, counter terrorism and a host of others are being done in Jaji, many foreign soldiers even train at Jaji. 3 months ago some British soldiers came for one of such trainings. For DSSC they'll pester to get those professional courses if you want to have a good PR which is prerequisite for promotion, I know a Captain that is currently doing his PhD in Kano. Even recruits benefits from the benevolence of the military because army do train some of them in university infact many of them. For me, the best welfare any soldier should wish for is training and more training, the rest is secondary.[/quote
Nice one there. Not trying to downgrade the NA but I believe exposure will be of great advantage being that we are a country that import technology and lack technical expertise in so many areas. I believe if NA takes good care of their officers very well both in terms of welfare and in terms of giving them the required ammunition plus good support I believe officers morale would be elevated and they won't dash out. My opinion though.. |

ugo4u: Let me talk on how the selection is done. After registration, the preselection stage kicks off. Firstly, computer will do automatic screening for does that met the minimum requirements (height, class of degree etc) anybody wey fill nonsense, him form dey enter dustbin straight. Computer will automatically arrange your course study, class of degree, professional certification etc in descending order e.g 1st class, first followed by 2:2 then professional certification. After this, then godfather's will submit their candidates name, then the list populated by the computer program will now be perused by the officers selecting names, at this stage na tinini Tanana them go do, if you're lucky they'll pick your name. Then together with the godfathers them slot them go add am with the lucky candidates then publish the names. As of yesterday the board met because of the list, so keep your fingers crossed and keep praying. If your name show thank your God and prepare(tidy all your documents) for the interview, if your name no show still thank your God and accept it in good fate.
One Love Quick question.. please why is it that NA don't have welfare package, professional courses, career development like that of Navy and air Force. What are they doing wrong and what are they not getting right. |

ugo4u: That's what RADAR does. The radar can be beaten by either flying at a very high altitude way beyond its range or fly very low or use stealthy drones. There is a sophisticated means of detecting these stuffs. It goes like this you set your frequency at a particular range so that if any other foreign object come close you will be able to detect it very easily either by sorrunding temperature or the frequency at which the object is operating. Don't know how to explain it very well sha.The tech guys should know better. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Nigerian Army SSC And DSSC 2016/2017 Forum by Honestguy13577: 11:08am On Oct 10, 2019 |
ugo4u:
Terrorists ain't concerned about whether their is an imposition of a no fly zone. Moreover you're still gonna fly sorties or use advanced suface to air missiles to enforce a no fly zone. Again, Bokoharam don't use military class drones which means they usually beat our radars by flying low. It's a complex situation There is a way to detect frequency of drones and know when someone is spying on the military. |
