Today I want to discuss what happens when someone has kidney failure
Complete and irreversible kidney failure is sometimes called end-stage renal disease, or ESRD. If your kidneys stop working completely, your body fills with extra water and waste products. This condition is called uremia. Your hands or feet may swell. You will feel tired and weak because your body needs clean blood to function properly.

Untreated uremia may lead to seizures or coma and will ultimately result in death. If your kidneys stop working completely, you will need to undergo dialysis or kidney transplantation.

One may say that diabetes is rapidly becoming a global epidemic which spares neither adults nor young children and adolescents. The cause for concern is the need for lifetime medications and/or insulin to manage symptoms and prevent complications. Also, the emotional and financial burden posed by various forms of diabetes (Type 1, Type 2, Gestational Diabetes and Latent Autoimmune Diabetes in Adults) raises the need for development of newer definitive therapeutic modalities.


Today, being Children’s day and World Diabetes Day, we share information on one of the forms of diabetes that affects young individuals and by far is the most challenging to manage considering the early age of onset of the condition.


Type 1 diabetes is becoming one of the most common illnesses in younger individuals. India is home to close to 97,000 children with type 1 diabetes. Although this type constitutes only 5-10% of the total population, it has serious short and long term consequences. The condition results due to pancreatic beta cell destruction which causes absolute insulin deficiency. Genetic and environmental factors as well as disorder of immune mechanism are thought to be the cause of type 1 diabetes. Treatment involves use of insulin/oral medicines, dose of which is adjusted based on regular blood glucose monitoring. Also, continuous monitoring of the general condition of the patient is of paramount importance so as to assess development of complications. Diabetes is associated with microvascular (retinopathy, nephropathy, and neuropathy) and macrovascular (cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, and peripheral vascular disease) complications.

A member can benefit from such training as flagged off by the company from time to time. Participation in any of such training is authenticated by the admin who have earlier initiated the training schedule while members will have to apply through their back office. Training modules shall be released from time to time for members to make their choice(s) of course(s) based on location and availability of resources and consultants in that particular choice of training. Areas of training and capacity building are found in the next column.

The Thrust

There are four main thrust in Hopealivecoop unique cooperative model, namely: collateral free loan, low cost but quality housing, agricultural support, training and capacity building for members. It has become imperative for us to consider the provision of low cost and affordable but quality housing package for our members due the rise in the cost of living in our society.
The Facility

The facility will be fully coordinated by the company which shall have units in various location for members to have their slots which shall be managed by the real estate department of the company. Upon completion by the company, members who wish to participate shall contribute a minimum of 20% of the total cost of the apartment while the rest installments/payments will be spread over a period of five years
The Project

When the company is set for the project, announcement shall be made to all members who will signify interest by application to the company through the company email to the Director of Housing Project who will with his committee assess every application based on merit, location and availability of units. Members also have the option of outright payment if they can afford it which also have certain considerations by the directorate of housing units.
HAC Loan Scheme

When a registration process has been consummated, a member can select by himself/herself a convenient amount he or she chooses to be saving with the cooperative which will be remitted to the cooperative bank account for a period of six consecutive months. At the expiration of the period, a member can make request for loan without collateral from the member's dashboard or through the liaison office filling the necessary and appropriate documents and to be certified by the Loan Board. When a member refuses to pay back, his/her account and that of his assign with the cooperative will be suspended/blocked until repayment.
The Qualification

A member can apply for micro-credit loan after six months of payment of his/her chosen amount of personal savings with the cooperative. There shall be no collateral but three members shall act as guarantors for the loan hence every member is advised to refer at least four persons to the cooperative out of which three will stand as guarantors in the event that he/she seek for our HAC Loan Scheme. Eligible members can apply for double their savings within the period which is payable in twelve months at an interest rate not less than 5% and at the same time not more than 15%..
Repayment Process

Upon approval, the loan is granted and released to the member's bank account. The member does not cease to make payment but continues to paid the chosen amount till the end of twelve months. At the expiration of the twelve months period, the loan sum and interest accrued is deducted from the total amount paid by the member within the period while the balance is remitted to the member's bank account on request. The member can choose to request for another loan now that the payment have been completed.
The Charity Package

We cannot always turn a deaf ear to the cry of the needy neither do we have to be blinded to the plight of others. If we are in need, we would wish someone attend to us. In the same vein, we at Hope Alive Cooperatives seek to engage in acts of kindness to as many as we can reach in the course of carrying out our business activities toward ensuring that underprivileged persons are given consideration by showing them compassion.
The Approach

A committee shall be constituted who will be saddled with the responsibility of attending to the needs of the underprivileged persons in our host communities. Such gesture(s) can be directed to individuals or group of individuals or homes in the bid to bring hope alive and put smiles in the faces of the people. Members are encouraged to participate in this act(s) of kindness through their selfless donation in cash and kind. Funds shall also be sourced through donation from external bodies. We seek to use our platform as a beacon of hope to the less privileged.
How We Do It

Areas of charity work shall include and not exclusive to visit to orphanages, hospitals, prisons, old peoples home and attending to the needs of those who are in one way or the other distressed or incapacitated through acts of kindness and benevolence. The act(s) of kindness can also be shown to a community. For example, sinking a bore hole to provide water for a community. All acts of kindness shall be done through recommendation from members.
Agricultural Support

In the present economy, agriculture is the solution to the nations problems. The reason a lot of people tend to avoid engagement in agriculture is attributed to several misconceptions: It is seen to be tedious, Lack of fund for improved agricultural procurement, Non-availability of improved seedlings for greater yield, Lack of adequate knowledge about improved agricultural practices, etc. These and many more seem to truncate agricultural development processes.

The cooperative seeks to work with organizations for the provision of improved agricultural input for members towards productive agricultural practices. We are working with consultants who will be readily available for the training of our members on improved agricultural practices to ensure good and improved yield and also making their facilities available for practical experience.

Hope Alive Cooperative project in not localized to a certain place, it is a global project.

One thing that stands out is that no company gives out free lunch: people get reward for their efforts. The people that would be given reward as first announced are those who have completed their respective stage in the business.

This initiative of training and award for completed stage in the business is not supposed to make anyone get discouraged but to spur all members to work and build their individual community within the Hopealivecoop platform. We all have the same level playing field to exercise ourselves and work more with our team to produce the desired result.

Seborrhoeic dermatitis' symptoms appear gradually, and usually the first signs are flaky skin and scalp.

Symptoms occur most commonly anywhere on the skin of the scalp, behind the ears , on the face , and in areas where the skin folds. Flakes may be yellow, white or grayish. [5] Redness and flaking may also occur on the skin near the eyelashes , on the forehead , around the sides of the nose, on the

Other symptoms include patchy scaling or thick crusts on the scalp, red, greasy skin covered with flaky white or yellow scales, itching, soreness and yellow or white scales that may attach to the hair shaft.

Seborrhoeic dermatitis can occur in
infants younger than three months and it causes a thick, oily, yellowish crust around the hairline and on the scalp. Itching is not common among infants. Frequently, a stubborn diaper rash accompanies the scalp rash. Usually, when it occurs in infants the condition resolves itself within days and with no treatment.
