Explaining the Genesis of the Foundation, Bolorunduro said that an old woman was brought to his office when he was promoted as the General Manager of Zenith Bank in Lagos in 2006. The woman has already lost one of her eyes to ailmentsand was about to lose her remaining one because she required US8,000 dollars which was out of her reach.

Bolorunduro disclosed that he followed this up by writing to a group of friends to team up with him to raise the money to save the old woman’s eyes. This eventually gave birth to the Foundation in 2006.
Highlighting some of the achievements of the foundation since then, he said, ” we have started and continue to give scholarships as well as various empowerment schemes. It is on record that I made the Nigerian Banks foray into and put their money into the telecommunications business and that has contributed to the emergence of mobile phone system that we are enjoying now.
The management of the hospital while appreciating Dr. Bolorunduro for his gesture however tasked him to do more in various areas of intervention like water required by the Hospital....

Politics / Looters Take Measures Against Whistle-blowing By Domestic Workers, Others by Hongbenga(m): 11:46am On Apr 22, 2017
- Politicians have been sacking personal staff members they cannot trust and keeping financial information far from others that they suspect
Politicians are keeping money away from banks because they are also suspicious of their bank officials who sometimes work with security officials

Bank officials are said to be quite interested in the 5 per cent reward that is stipulated in the federal government's whistle-blowing policy for useful information

To protect themselves against whistle-blowers, politicians have begun taking security measures against domestic workers and other acquaintances that could betray them.

Nigerian Tribune reports that politicians have now taken to heavily screening housemaids, security guards and those who manage their accounts in different banks.

The EFCC and police have seized billions of naira through the federal government's whistle-blowing policy

The report adds that high on the politicians' list of suspicions are their bank account managers who they feel are collaborating security agencies in order to get rich quick due to the 5 per cent reward stipulated in the federal government's whistle-blowing policy.

A source said:“The whistle-blower policy is causing a lot of strained relationships between big-money men and some banks. There are strong suspicions that some bank officials are collaborating with agents of EFCC and the police to leak the contents of certain accounts."

Another source added:“The introduction of that policy has reduced the level of trust between politicians and many of the staff they previously related with freely.”

Some politicians, who could afford to, have already sacked their staff members with which they have trust issues while others are being kept at arms length.

The report says the several cash recoveries being made by the security agencies are due to the decision by politicians to keep huge funds away from banks because officials there are also interested in the reward for whistle-blowers.

“There are strong suspicions that account officers in banks are not too clean in some of the discoveries, especially the funds so far recovered by the police in recent times,”a source stated.

Another source close to a state governor said on Friday, April 21 that“the recent recruitment of low level operatives and their deployment as detectives by the EFCC is of a lot of concern to politically exposed persons who fear such junior persons could be employed in error as domestic helps.

“Indeed, there are fears that even private security firms guarding banks and other companies of interest could be harbouring whistle-blowers and operatives."

Meanwhile, NAIJ.comgathered that a presidential committee led by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has directed Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) boss Ibrahim Magu to continue investigation into the N13billion discovered inside an apartmentat Ikoyi in Lagos.

Magu was quizzed on Friday, April 21 by the three-man committee which is chaired by Osinbajo and has as members attorney-general of the federation Abubakar Malami (SAN) and national security adviser Babagana Monguno.

According to the report, investigations showed that some politicians have heavily reduced involvement of personal guards and maids in their financial activities.
Politics / #ondo 2016 Ad Governorship Candidate, Chief Olusola Oke Not Arrested. by Hongbenga(m): 6:49pm On Nov 18, 2016
Our attention has been drawn to the News making the round that the Ondo State Governorship candidate of Alliance for Democracy Chief Olusola Oke and Some Members of our Campaign were found with guns and arrested by Soldiers in Okitipupa LG of Ondo State.
The story is just a plot to distract the People who are committed to electing our Candidate. As we speak, we are on tour in Ilaje in Ondo South where he hails. They know the People are for us and they think it is by soiling his image that they can win.
They have forgotten that he grew up here and he does not have any history of Violence. He has contested Election here and at no time did he introduce Violence. He does not believe in do-or-die Election.
The fact of the matter is that Oke's Popularity is giving some politicians sleepless nights and as such, they are bent on spewing out lies to malign his Image, forgetting that the last time such effort was made, it made Oke more Popular.
We were not caught aware as we know this will happen. While we believe in propaganda as a veritable tool for Winning Election, the method to be deployed must be constructive.
While we will continue with our Campaign, selling our unique points to the people, we want to urge our co-contestants to concentrate as well. They should not die before death comes.
We assure the people not to be disturbed as we are peace-loving. ~Chief Olusola Oke Spokesman
