weIMPORT: Out of the 20 housemates competing on the 2020 Big Brother Naija, BBNaija reality TV show, 5 of them have proven to be the favorites of the viewers.
Of these 5, which include; Laycon, Dorathy, Nengi, Ozo and Eric, one is tipped to emerge winner on the show.
Each one of the Housemates attracted the interest of many Nigerians for different reasons.
Laycon has continued to trend on social media more than any other Housemate. He is the first of the lot to be verified on Instagram. His story is that of grass to grace as he was considered the underdog at the beginning but his palpable intelligence soon shone through to the amazement of many followers of the show.
One person describes him as “Wole Soyinka in Naira Marley’s body”
He is a huge prospect and many celebrities have already started pushing him with their resources for the crown.
Next in line is Dorathy, and this delight of a woman has won many hearts with her endowment of erupting twin towers. Her heavy chest, according to some, is the reason they watch the show, especially the early morning workouts. She’s such an eyeful in the workout outfit, which amplifies her mammoth mammary presence.
Nengi has all the attributes of a winner in the making. Winning the first Head of House is one reason to watch out for her. She’s starting out much like Mercy Lambo with the cute, perky backside which is making headlines already. Like Mercy, some have started whispering she had had a job done on it. And her beauty is something that cannot be questioned either. Many celebrities are already lining up behind her.
In comes Ozo who has won many loyalists to his camp over the argument on his fair-complexion. His sense of judgment and social dispositions are key to his game.
Lastly but not the least is Eric, a hunk of a man who has become the toast of the ladies.
Prince, Erica and Lilo are building momentum but time will tell if they can gather enough speed to keep with the pace. There are 20 Housemates in the house so there is bound to be twists and promises. May the best man win.
The 20 housemates are competing for the 85 Million Naira grand prize – the biggest grand prize in the history of BBNaija – as well as a variety of other prizes courtesy of Betway, the headline sponsor of BBNaija 2020.
Ishilove: Having to deal with different kinds of people in my line of work has taught me patience so I try as much as possible to be polite to service providers. Besides, I have home training
StagethemTVee: All lines seem to be fallen in the right places for Laycon the budding up and coming artiste who was initially labelled as one of the under dogs in the big brother 2020 house.
Biggie played his song Awa Fierce featuring Reminisce and Chinko Ekun in the house and Laycon also got a chance to perform it live to the other housemates. If the love shown him by the other contestants for the prize is to go by, the young man has a very good chance of getting into the top 5 or probably winning the game.
The house was a frenzy of sort as all housemates bounced, sang and hailed Laycon during the song performance. This is one game that his fierceness will definitely pay off. That is if it is not just words of mouth though.

Vianna: In my opinion, I think it's no longer as lucrative as it used to be and it's a very sorry situation. A lot of lawyers roaming the streets, they are suffering. Some of the many problems are
1. Too many graduates, little job slots
2. Senior colleagues are not ready to give the younger ones a chance
Most lawyers are "charge and bail" . They roam the streets and advertise their services to potential clients and they don't even have a place to call office. Many of them loiter in court premises all day under the hot sun and await the arrival of the police, hoping that the police would bring some accused persons who do not have lawyers to defend them. The moment this happens, the lawyer would approach the accused (usually agberos, louts and unfortunate Nigerians who the police had decided to transfer his frustrations on. ) and offer his service either directly to the accused persons, or through his relatives or friends who followed him to court. After a certain meagre fee is paid. The lawyer will appear before the magistrate and orally apply for bail, which in most cases would be granted if the offence(s) is a bailable one.
Being a lawyer in today's Nigeria is overrated, studying in school for 5 years to become a lawyer is a waste of time. To me it's more meaningful if used as a part time job while you venture into business or entrepreneurship.
i believe atomic bomb can attest to this...the legal profession is garbage in naija
StagethemTVee: When "Jenifa " a comedy flick was released in 2008, little did any of the cast including a less popular Funke Akindele know it was going to be the movie that will launch them as A list actors.
Today, actors like Ronke Odusanya, Eniola Badmus, Sunny Alli, Mosunmola Fulani, Ireti Osayemi and a host of others can look back and be grateful to God for being a part of that movie. Funke Akindele herself has gone on to build a brand around her role/character in the movie raking in millions in endorsements alone. She now runs a series developed to potray the same character in the initial movie.
This is an interesting video showing the physical transformation that has happened with the major actors between 2008 and 2020 . You get to see how the actors looked then and how they look now in 2020. You also get to know their film and real names as well as their age then and now.
Whatever that is good you may find yourself doing, keep at it. Be diligent, be loyal, serve with your heart and you will surely soar. All the best to every hardworking nairalander.
Viktom: A scandalous video published showing Kano State Governor, Umar Ganduje pocketing vast wads of American dollars in what was said to be bribe payments from public works contractors, has been put on repeat on the biggest screen in the biggest roundabout in Edo State.
In the video released by the Editor-In-Chief of Daily Nigerian, Jaafar Jaafar, in 2018, the Governor was shown collecting bribes in dollars and stuffing the wads of money in his white “Agbada” also known as “babariga” cloth.
The video shows the Governor darting his eyes, perhaps towards the door every now and then to ensure nobody was coming in.
The video also shows the happy governor pack the money into a paper bag under his table.
The governor frustrated a probe by the state assembly of the scandal as he secured a court injunction to stop the probe.
Journalist Jafaar, appeared before the lawmakers and defended the authenticity of the video.
The video sparked outrage on social media, with many calling for the impeachment of the Governor.
Ganduje, who enjoys immunity from prosecution as a sitting governor, has not been probed for the scandal by any anti-graft agency.
The Kano governor won his re-election last year despite the bribery scandal.
The ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) recently appointed Ganduje, to head its campaign council for the Edo State governorship election.
The APC’s candidate in the September 19 governorship election in Edo is Osagie Ize-Iyamu, a pastor who decamped from the main opposition party, People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Ize-Iyamu’s main challenger is incumbent governor Godwin Obaseki who decamped from the APC to the PDP.

SAKUR: Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi on Sunday made public the assets declaration form which he deposed to shortly before his inauguration as governor on May 29.
Making the content of the form public on behalf of his boss, the governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications, Dr. Festus Adedayo, said the step was in line with Ajimobi’s promise to commence a government that lays store by transparency and accountability in the administration of the state.
Adedayo said the governor deposed to the Assets Declaration Form for Public Officers at the Registry of the State High Court, Ibadan, before Justice Ladiran Akintola, on May 27, 2011, two days before assuming office.
The assets declared, according to him, include cash in local banks, buildings, vehicles, business enterprises and household items.
According to the form filled by the governor, the total amount of cash he has in banks in the country is N292, 432, 107.00 while he has none in any foreign account.
The governor also declared that he had a mansion in Ibadan worth N250m, a building in the same city worth N150m, another one with the value of N300m in Lagos, as well as a detached house worth N300m in Abuja.
He added that he had a flat purchased through mortgage financing worth £450,000 in the United Kingdom, another worth £1.95m, purchased through mortgage in the UK and another house worth $1.5m in the United States of America.
Ajimobi also declared that he owned 131 acres of farm land in a village at the Ido Local Government area of Ibadan worth N150m, two Lagos-based companies, Viz Grandex Nigeria Limited, worth N200m and Network Petroleum Nigeria Limited, worth N260m.
The governor put the worth of all his vehicles at N94.25m and household furniture, which include generating sets and electronics at N25m.
The governor also declared that his wife, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, possesses a house in Ibadan that is worth N15m and another in Lagos that is worth N250m.
Adedayo said the new government of Oyo State laid great store by probity and accountability, and was of the belief that the patrimony of the people must be guarded jealously as the governor would give account of all that was entrusted in his care, not only to the people of the state who voted for him in the April elections, but to God “the ultimate judge” who would request for an account whenever the governor finishes his assignment on earth.
Ajimobi is the first governor of the state to publicly declare his assets
scholes0: Ogun state is unique among the states in the federal republic of Nigeria. It has the second highest HDI (Human development Index) in Nigeria after Lagos and unlike its contemporaries across the country, it is replete with several large and mostly developed cities spread across the state apart from the capital city. These include urban centres such as Shagamu, Ota, ilaro, Ijebu ode, Agbara among others. The state has a large population and is host to many industries and business ventures. It is basically Nigeria's emerging Trade and Industry hub after Lagos. That apart, it has some of Nigeria's best secondary and tertiary educational institutions.
This thread brings you images from the state capital Abeokuta that you most likely have not come across before in a way you have never seen it presented before. Enjoy! -----------------------------------------------------------------------
