@telz: i didn't bother 2ask cos i knw the pin has bin customized 2 d jamb reg no, paying again wud be dashing dem mony cos u're bound 2get d same pin. Bt i wil try nd get bak 2d admision ofice 2mao if ma clas didn't hold.

@telz: were u at d admision ofice 2day? I went deir to lay d complain bt i was tod 2tel d guy 2 resend hs payment details wich he has done bt same pin was sent 2him nd stil cudnt login.
Concerning wifi isue, i learnt dat there was in the general library b4 bt was later disconeted due 2 student's misuse of it, i.e facebuking nd yahoo etc, nonetheles it is available in d faculties and sum oda specific areas on campus bt only if u knw d acess code.

@telz: MIS means Management information system, i.e the ict organ of ui, they handle all this admision nd oda ict isues electronicaly, their ofice is directly bhind d admision ofice, i'm v.ry sure u wil be directd 2 go there. I ought 2ave bin there 2make dis complain bt i ave series of tests to write but i wil try alma best 2get dere 2mao nd gve u fidbak, i'l be hapy 2 hear urs 2.

@telz: how far wit ur login issue? My friend is having the same problem, he paid in lag and his pin was sent to him, but portal's reply was that They ave no confirmation of his payment. He has gone 2d bank but they said they posted the payment. I jst want 2knw wat has bin done concerning urs b4 i proced 2 MIS cos they did nt reply mails.

It has been officially announced at the admision office that candidates can now pay their N2000 login fee at any branch of first or afribank nationwide. Saw this while walking past d office, so u guys can now pay anywhere.

@ife-wise, u cann't edit the second school of choice and course cos they dealing wit first choice as at now.

You can pay 2 any first bank or afribank branches nationwide. But pls read d procedure nd undastand it b4 and after making payments. www.ui.edu.ng for info.

Info concerning 2011/2012 admision has bin released today first choice candidates are to send their result details to admissions.ui.edu.ng b4 Aug 17 after paying the sum of N2000 to any first bank branch acct no 2018156959. Awaiting results must submit theirs b4 aug 31st.

According to the latest ranking by the web ranking site, the university of ibadan is ranked first in Nigeria and 32nd in Africa displacing the University of ilorin who is ranked 2nd in Nigeria and 34th in Africa.

It seems UI is going towards e-exam this time around, cos it's making waves all over the place now. You guys jst have 2 prepare 4d two whether interactive or computer based.

@lady sommy: yes there is provision for supplementary list if not shortlisted only, it is also termed change of course, i.e u change to a course dat is lower/equal ur weighted score.

@majorities: it depend on the course u want to study, if medicine/economic forget it!

Well for u guys asking what the interactive session is all about and when it started, instead of the normal post ume exams conducted by other universities in nigeria in which one is given questions based on ur ume subjects and submit and later wait to know his or her fate, ui admission process does not go that way. Very soon probably end of this july or mid of aug information wil be released that candidates who made ui their first and second choice should pay the sum a thousand naira into ui acount at sum designated banks after which u wil send yr payment teller no, ur email address and other info concerning ur payment to ui through the website, after confirming ur payment then a pin wil be sent to ur email (mind u d pin may nt be in ur inbox it may be in d spam u ave to search evrywhre cos dis actualy caused serious confusion last year) after receiving the pin u wil den submit ur o'level result and jamb score to ui. After all submission have been concluded(first choice only first) grading would be done to know the no of applicant for a particular course and then decide the cut-off points(Economics pulled the highest cut off last year(merit74.9) followed by MBBS(merit74.0) the lowest (archeology nd yoruba (40.0) <i believe u guys now know hw to grade urself>if the o'level u submitd wit ur jamb is up to the cut off u would b shortlisted for d interactive session this is now when u can make or mar urself, after confirming ur original result wit d one u submitd u wil then progress to meet the lecturers in which simple questions not more than 5 will be asked based on ssce syllabus, i remember when i came 4mine i was asked the definition of market and on english to spell tomorrow and some other stuffs, now if ur nervous or afraid by the presence of those lecturers/Profs they wil know den it wil take d grace of God to get admision the most important thing is to get confidence, after the interactive session been concluded u later wait for the admision list. This same process applies to second choice, awaiting result and change of course candidates. Concerning when this system was adopted by ui, i mysef do not know cos people in 500, 600 levels even graduates went through this same interactive session.

@ife-wise and others: is it true that ui 2011/2011 post utme is gonna be done at the CBT center? i find it dificult to belief this info, cos i dn't tink ui wil forgo interactive session for anything.
