this can't be. It must be one of those idle students behind this. |
It amazes me when people could tell the dreams they had during the night without much difficulty. For the past 5 years I have been unable to remember the dreams I had during sleep, if I manage to remember, it will be in bit and sketchy in short, it will be meaningless. This has been happening everyday I sleep even during naps. Presently I am struggling to remember the dream I had last night, I do pray to remember my dreams yet nothing has happened. I am fed up and it pains me a lot that I can't remember my dreams because I believe its a medium through which God communicates with his people. Anybody who has had such experience or have a way out for me should please advise me on what to do. Thanks in anticipation. |
The primary school pupils and myself got home the same time, theirs was due to vacation mine was because of strike now they are set to resume on monday and I am still at home. I have watched tv to an extent I never imagined. Got to know names of actor and actresses I didn't care about before. The environment is not even conducive for reading. Very tired of the whole mess. It's high time something serious is done. |
I want to suggest to the MODS to discontinue this thread. |
The north is gonna be worse for it, despite the fact they are farmers. The SW are the major buyers of their produce without which it will waste. You remember the reason Lord Lugard merged the south and the north? The money realised from the north was not enough to cater for the needs of the north, he used south's money and resources to cater for the north. |
Authen: you can wait till 2090Haven't you heard of flying car? Even saw a thread on it here. |

I give to the handicapped if I have enough on me because they ought to be taken up by the Government and made useful to themselves and the society. But for an able bodied beggar, I give only if. S/he appeal to my heart. |
God knows it all. But I think a mentally deranged person will be judged of his deeds before the insanity. But an insane person from birth is free of judgement. For instance, our ancestors or people who have lived years ago with no access to christianity cannot be judged because they died in ignorance. |
Those guys are everywhere, they exchange the fake notes with conductors mostly in the night. After collecting their balance, they alight at the next bus stop to avoid being caught after the conductor might have detected it. I witnessed another same scenario not long ago, the guy boarded the bus at Alaba market, not long he paid the conductor, he detected it immediately and rejected the money. The guy couldn't pay with genuine note. He was eventually droped from the bus. Just be on the look out for them. |
Thumbs up to Nokia, they started it all. |
5 ways Nokia helped create the modern cell phone With its purchase of Nokia's mobile phone business, Microsoft has brought a longtime partner into the fold to help fight a battle that has been tough for both companies. Microsoft, which was late to the smartphone game with its Windows mobile operating system, badly trails Android and Apple's iOS. And while Nokia is still a force selling feature phones worldwide, it's barely made a dent in the smartphone market. But if the Finnish company is struggling today, it can still take pride in its history at the forefront of the mobile movement. Here are five ways the once-dominant phonemaker has helped shape the world of mobile electronics as we know it today: First to move It's not the sort of thing that smartphone owners today probably remember -- if they're even old enough. But the Nokia 1011, released in 1992, was the first commercially available mobile phone that operated on what's called the GSM network. The letters stand for Global System for Mobile. And what that meant was that unlike earlier phones, the Nokia could be used to make a phone call from almost anywhere in the world. GSM is still the world's most widely used mobile system, although 4G is expected eventually to replace it. Phone as fashion statement A phone is just a phone, right? Of course not. Today, there are plenty of folks who, admit it or not, wrap at least a small part of their identity up in what kind of phone is in their pocket. That was a pretty alien concept up until the early 2000s when, if you owned a cell phone, there was a pretty good chance it was a Nokia. Remember those chunky, rounded models with the tiny gray screens and the nubby antennas? The Nokia 5110 was one of the most popular. And it also was one of the market's first phones that had a replaceable face plate. The plates came in a wide variety of colors, offering one of the first chances to personalize your phone's look. The 'slider' The popularity of early Nokia phones meant the company's designs often became the standard for cell phones. It didn't create the first flip phone (that honor belongs to Motorola), but the "slider" was all Nokia. The first was the company's 8110 model, which debuted in 1998. How cutting edge was the design at the time? It was the phone of choice in the futuristic 1999 sci-fi film "The Matrix." Mobile gaming Remember "Snake"? It seems laughably simple compared with the range of gaming possible on today's smartphones. But plenty got addicted to this game. Even though it had already been in arcades, Nokia began preloading "Snake" on its phones in 1998. http://cnnmobile.com/primary/fullarticle?topic=newsarticle&category=tech&articleId=urn:newsml:CNN.com:20130903:nokia-phones-contributions:1 |

omotolatutu: Eh! Nawa o! God i thank you o.... Dis one pass me o. Come 2 tink of it i still get d best attention 4rm people becos i put dat lovely, sparklin, dazzling smile on face @ all tym. Hwever am mre of a listener and i got great skills to get tins fixed up or proffer solutns 2 probsI have got some admirable qualities too, most people want to be my friend but I critically choose my friends, who I talk too, bt if u strike up a conversation with me and I find you knowledgeable or versed we can talk for hours. I jst don't like attending ceremonial events cos I dnt fancy it, it add nothing to my life. even my last dept dinner that i attended forcefuly, I regretted attending it, all what they did that night was jst meaningless to me. I guess my own extreme introversion is due to my astrological sign 'Taurus' I have observe other taureans too we have same thing in common. |
I have only atttended a wedding ceremony nd it was that of my elder Bro, last 3 yrs ago. Had I my way I wouldn't have attended bt my parents forced me to attend. I didn't do anything that day I hide myself in the car watching them from a distance. I didn't feature in the pics and videos. My bro's wife didn't know I exist until after some months. |
playah P: Introverts are just people that are too lazy to make d extra effort towards coNnectin with others! This is one of the misconception extroverts have against introverts, introverts are not lazy connecting with others, we just do not want or fancy some people, jst like to be left alone. Using myself as an example, I like being in my room doing things I love, hates parties or outdoor events. Bro, that's our nature we can't change over night! |
I totally agree with the poster, S/he just described me. I like being alone, I dnt want pple around me un invited. I make sure I get to class early so dat I can sit at the extreme. |

The management are very angry because of the protest which should not because everyone has his/her own right, it should be made clear that we didnt protest because of the fear of exam, exams are not new to uites. The Vc said in a press conference that he was going to force students who are stil in the halls to go home, the porters refused to pump water for us, as if that was not enough, unfortunately on fri the sch security men (Abefele) tear gas rooms at odd hours to force students that are still in the halls out. Majority of this students who refused to go home are those whose house are far away and the final year students who have got one or two things to do. I hope and pray that the #1.6bn granted ui by the FG to tackle the energy problem is utilised well. |
Hmmm, the Management and we the students have equal share of the blame. |
Yes oo we have been chased home for 2 wks, we hope things get better before our arrival. |
Now i feel relieved after reading fellow introverts posts. Am not alone. |
Thank you freecocoa, i will try this days, the criticism is jst too much even frm parents. |
The poster just describe me, my level of introversion is just too much. I'm the type that doesn't go out, i dnt want 2b seen by pple, if atal i wana go out, i go in d night. In my sku, u may nt blive dis, i only knw my rummates and 2 pple on my floor, have jst 4 frnds in my dept. Weneva i talk pple ar always surprise 2 hear me speak, wich sumtyms makes me embarrased. People do take my introversion for arrogance, wich always pain me. Shyness is anoda disease silently killing me, i can't look pple in d face wen speaking wit them esp women, am 22, i dnt ave a gf, only av a female friend nd she's in ma felowship in sku. Pls i need advise 4rm pple cos sumtyms i fil lyk geting rid of ma self. Tanks. |
