Politics › Re: Nigerian Police Installing Automated Fingerprinting Machines. Criminals Beware! by hotpikin(f): 10:05pm On May 24, 2005 |
seun: On the fourth of May 2005, the Federal Executive Council of Nigeria approved the purchase and installation of automated fingerprinting machines to the tune of ₦257 million. According to Mr. Broderick Bozimo, Minister of Police Affairs, the installation wil be carried out by a Nigerian firm in collaboration with a Korean firm (source)
I think this is a nice one from the Government, though perhaps overdue. I believe that a number of innocent people are being condemned to death by hanging in this country based on circumstantial evidence; may such misfortune not befall any one of us. A police force that can work with fingerprint evidence will be a much better police force. interestin'...i'm sure nigerians will find a way 2 escape dt one 2... |
Fashion › Re: I love shopping; it's a necessary evil. by hotpikin(f): 10:04pm On May 24, 2005 |
Ra: Necessary Evil Well, there's no other way to put it than the obvious... I love shopping. It does not help matters that my cousin and I are age mates, live together and have the same dress sense, more or less. We go shopping practically every weekend unless of because when we’re broke. Just this morning, we were talking about how we shop too much. But then again, it's something that can't be avoided, is it ? Does anyone feel me on this topic? Especially ladies. You've been invited, yet again, to an outing and all of a sudden there appears to be nothing suitable in your chukka blocked wardrobe. How can you not shop for something new to wear? Weddings are going to start happening right, left and centre this time of year and let's just say it's a punishable offence to wear that wonderful dress everyone was drooling over at Tayo's wedding last year to Kunle's wedding this October. Why... if they drooled over it last year, they'll remember it this year...
It's pathetic really and wrecks havoc on one's bank account to say the least, but if you know a way out of it, I'm happy to hear you out.
Ooops, reading that for editing purposes, I must say it sounds a bit vain.... That's the wrongest picture, I'm everything but vain..... well...... not really. aite...4 me...i'm a freak 4 fashion....esp. shoes...ma gawd! u shld see me when i'm packin' outta ma dorm afta d semester....lol! it's crazy! but mehn! i luv it jare! it's just one of d things dt make me feel like a gurl, y'know mehn, ma boo or husband just has 2 live wit it...no jokes! |

Family › Re: Should A Husband And Wife Operate A Joint Account? by hotpikin(f): 9:53pm On May 24, 2005 |
trish: Hey guys,
What are your opinions on this topic. Many of my male friends thinks that the need of a woman is too much, they need to buy cosmetics, change their wardrope, spa, salon etc etc, the list is endless . Guys are afraid that their account will run dry fast if they allow their wives easy access to their bank account. What does that mean that we females cannot not be prudent? I don't quite agree with them.
So what do you guys think, should a husband and wife operate a joint account? Remember one will definitely earn more then the other, what damage if any can this action cause? yep! they shld! wit ur single account in a corner sha....just in case |
Romance › Re: How would you react if your lover ditched you to marry another person? by hotpikin(f): 9:50pm On May 24, 2005 |
solo2: I have a friend who is close to me and we discussed some issues about life in general.
My friend, a young man, was about to get married to a young lady from his state and the same village, and we were discussing the marriage plan when he got a telephone call from Jos. The caller was his lover who lives at Jos, and from the outcome of their discussion the phone, I notice that the lady {was asking} my friend why he should ditch her to marry somebody else after some years of their relationship.
And from all indication, she got to know about the marriage plan through some one who showed her the invitation card. If you were to be the lady, how would you have reacted? hmmm...if i was d lady eh, i won't even talk 2much sef...i'll just go outside naked @ 12am, carry sum oil 'n salt on ma palms 'n SWEAR 4 dt man! Romance › Re: What Is The Right Age To Get Married? by hotpikin(f): 9:48pm On May 24, 2005 |
seun: Is there a particular age at which you'd expect a lady or a man to be married? At what age should you start thinking about marriage? And at what age should you start panicking if you've not yet found the right man? If you say age doesn't matter, what are the things that matter and can they be measured?
Personally, I think the most important things to achieve before marriage are economic independence and a clear sense of where you're going in life. If you have that by 20, fire away. And if you're a lady, and you're close to or 30, please start panicking! Maybe you've been too picky?! well, i think 12 sha...it's pretty normal in ma village... |
