It is somehow true when elders say “our society was not as corrupt as this during our time”

Let us consider 1995-1997 for example. To date a lady then,

- Meet her one on one
- you need her postal address,
- You need to start writing series of letters (Love letters)
- Visiting post office to post letters to the new girl (remember how much post office stamp was).
- Traveling to meet her even though you might miss her. (No telephone to call her if she is around)

Considering all these stress, unlike

- Do facebook search
- Add her, get her pin and chat for few days, then the sin begins…

Technology/Social media has contributed significantly to global business and social development. However, there are some questions left unanswered regarding quality of Life, privacy and human preservation.
E.g Most girls out there are rotten sexually, ill-mannered and empty. The same can be said of guys. We are in a generation of empty-brains, blown around by facebook/Social media, TV, Radios, music and fashion industry.

In short, we are zombies.

You hardly see anyone thinking out of the box. We are like toys operated remotely.

Our ladies want to look like celeb. They want to be Kim Kardasian. You see a secondary student taking galas haircut. He wants to look like wizkid LOL. A lady putting on Human hair worth 150k on empty skull is laughable. Just ask her to explain “Bermuda Triangle”, hahhaa gheghen.

Those days, our fathers pass through standard 1 to 6, Grade 1 to 6. By the time you spend this numbers of years in school, by the time you attempt WAEC in 5 times, you are already a professor. That’s why we had many professors produced in that era.

How do we produce professors, when we pay 100,000+ for WAEC? You don’t expect your kid to fail WAEC when you pay close to 100k.

Now let us talk about true love, there was no telephone or whatsap during Romeo and Juliet, Titanic e.t.c. And all these persons were in true love.

I saw some old folks keeping archive of love letters exchanged through NIPOST with their love ones. Hmmm it’s like old scriptures in museum. The sight of it makes you want to fall in love. Now, we have ladies you add on bbm, send recharge cards. If you send love message, she read and delete it quickly so there won’t be clash of titans.

We are in a generation of emptiness. But we are blind to see where we are headed.

The new one world order is kicking in.

Consciously or otherwise, we will be subjected to this daring inevitability.
I am writing this because I am conscious, my eyes are opened, but I have no power to change it. The little power I have is to sensitize people around me.

DO NOT LET SOCIAL MEDIA, FASHION INDUSTRY, TV, MUSIC AND OTHERS DICTATE YOUR LIFE.

You are not a zombie.

2 Peter 3:3-4
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
And saying, where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

(Sorry if its hurt)

Our politicians dont invest the stolen money in business. They just steal and cart the money to switzerland and UK.

Although Tinubu invest a lot. Unlike other pot bellies. They just steal and not give back to the country.

Nigerians can come up with formidable competition for DSTV.

Nigerian pot belles just dont want the masses to benefit from that money they are stealing. They dont want their shishi to drop mistakenly...EDIOOOOTS

Nowenuse:
Pls let us all forget all these "Eguns are not yorubas", "Olukwumi are not igbo", "so so are not so so" and bla bla bla.
The truth is that in the Nigerian context of today, ppl are free to choose wherever they want to belong to a large extent.

There are some groups who may choose a certain identity just for political convenience but that does not really mean that is who they are originally.

Left for me, i'd say Eguns are not yorubas because in their language alphabets, they have the letter V and Letter Z intonatitons in their language and this is something almost all other yoruba dialects lack.
But it is up to the Eguns to decide who they want to be, if they say they prefer to be identified as Yorubas and the other Yorubas accept them, fine, who are others to speak against this??

Same thing goes for the Aworis, Olukumis and all others. There is freedom of association to a large extent i think.

Just like Itsekiris who sometimes they will claim they are Yorubas and most other times they will reject. During the time of the Old regional system of govt, Itsekiris were identifying with the Yorubas just for political convenience and this helped them because Awolowo favoured the Itsekiris over the other Western minority groups, but today u will hardly see Itsekiris claiming to be Yorubas.
So why Eguns in Egba land and not in Benin (The fake source) ?

Who do Egun speak Yoruba? (although a curly one)

This is not ethnic bashing this is critical analysis of oduduwa

The question is
Was he real
Who is he
Where did he come from
What language did he speak
Who where his co traveller
What race was he
Where did he have his childhood
Whom did he marry
Where is his grave
Where are archeaological evidence of oduduwa
The Benin connection
Did he fall from sky

These are questions beging for answer@
All these question can only be answered scientifically/archeologically. If you want to accept. Because no one can win people like you in argument. When you see facts, you will keep arguing with facts.
-=====================================================

For archeoligical/Scientific work here is an extract and a link. And remember to give credit to the student who wrote the thesis.

In the Ifa corpus (the Yorubic sacred texts probably brought by Oduduwa from Egypt in the Edidi script) there are numerous creation stories, all these try to indicate the land of the Yoruban peoples as the place where creation took place. They do not only show that, they also indicate that the Yoruban peoples are aboriginal or autochthonous to their present area of abode.
Are the Yorubas really autochthonous to their present abode?
What are the natures of these traditions?
Are they true or mere fabrications?
All these questions will be answered when we come to the section of archaeology, cultural studies and linguistics. It is obvious, however, that the longer a people live in an area, the more they tend to claim aboriginality, as is evident with the whites of South Africa. Replete in the Yoruban traditions are tales of a possible migration from the “east”. Can the stories of both aboriginality and migration be correct? It is believed that both are correct.

While the Yoruban people have spoken Yoruboid languages, and practiced Yorubic cultures from time immemorial, it is obvious and even logical, that some aspects of Yoruban culture are borrowed. These borrowings point to ancient Egypt, whence the traditions of the Yoruban peoples diffused. It is also believed that while the Yoruban peoples have been in their geopolity from time immemorial, some aspects of their culture: divine kingship and aspects of religion: seem to be wholesale importation from Ancient Egypt.

The Testament Of Archaeology
In addition to the fact that the application of archaeology has been very recent in West Africa, the West African soil and climate are not very conducive to the preservation of relics. Many relics - except few durable ones - are either completely destroyed, or made inaccessible for the sake of archaeological studies.
It should be remembered that termites and other creatures feast voraciously on wood, and other products, which our ancestors in Africa used on day- to- day basis. Thurstan defines the problem thus,
“One of the difficulties of archaeology in West Africa south of the Sahara is that the situations for the preservation of bone do not seem to occur so frequently as in other parts of Africa”. (Thurstan Shaw: 1965)

In spite of these difficulties, there have been a lot of archaeological researches. Most of these artifacts predate 1200AD, which most modern historians ascribe to the founding of the Yoruban kingdoms. Among the most ancient of these finds is the Iwo-Ileru relic, which carbon dating has given a spectacular age of between 9000BC- 12000BC. Iwo-Ileru is very close to Akure in the east of Yoruba land. This find poses a question. Did the Yoruban peoples first settle in the East of Yorubaland? It will be too hasty for now to give any conclusive answer to this question, until further works of archaeology is carried out. Around Oke-Eri (Ijebuland) a wall and some relics have been discovered.

Many analytical historians feel the relics belonged to the Queen of Sheba, a wife or concubine of King Solomon. It is not conclusively proven that the relics at Oke- Eri belonged to the Queen of Sheba. The important thing so far is the finds depict an advanced human culture and civilization. Oke-Eri also corresponds to the east of Yoruba land. Both Iwo-Ileru and Oke-Eri lie in the eastern flank of Yorubaland and tend to authenticate an east to west migration within Yorubaland.
In western part of Yoruba land, some ancient finds have also been discovered around the Mejiro cave at old Oyo. Hear Shaw: - “At Old Oyo, a Neolithic industry was recovered which has no associated pottery or ground stone axis, but the sample was small and it is undated” (Shaw 1977: 53 ) - - - The relics at the Mejiro are dated some 4000BC. This proves that even in central Yoruba land, people have been living for thousand of years. Hence the Ifes claim 90 “kings” before the advent of Oduduwa! All over Yorubaland, Oyo, Owo (Ogho), Ondo, Itsekiri, Ilaje etc, few relics have been found which show that the present Yoruban peoples are lineal descendants of the ancients that once occupied and used the relics.

Ask your Yoruba elders, the meaning of OLÓFIN ÁLÁ

Let me hlp you out. We have many Lazy kids in this generation.
==================================================

JESUS, The Christ = OLÓFIN ÁLÁ, was Initiated in the Yorubaland into IFÁ.
¡Ogbó, ató, àsúre, Ìwòrìwòfún. OLÓFIN á gbà é, BABA ODÙDÚWÀ á gbà é, ÒRÚNMÌLÀ ÈLÀ á gbà é! – May You Have Long Life, with the Spiritual Blessing of Ifá Odù Ìwòrì Wòfún (Who Opens the Divine Portal of the Grace of OLÓDÙMARÈ), May the Blessing of OLÓFIN (Concious Manifestation of GOD), Baba ODÙDÚWÀ, and ÒRÚNMÌLÀ ÈLÀ be upon you!
Aláàfia se a ni – May the Peace be with You!
“EGBÉ ÓDÙN OLÓFIN” = The Family of OLOFIN’S Secret
Teachings given by baba Odùdúwà through his Elègún (medium) and the Teachings of Égún Tata G, a spirit Emissary of Odùdúwà.
JESUS, The Christ = OLÓFIN ÁLÁ, was Initiated in the Yorubaland into IFÁ
Baba Odùdúwà:
Christ is a Title that means the anointed by the Holy Spirit, anointed by the Divine Power. Christ is ONE, and many Christ existed in many traditions around the Planet; Hindu, Yoruba, etc.
There are many things written, but few of them can compare with the Reality. The Catholic Religion has Angels and Saints in their Cult, and Christ is the Son of God in the Catholic Tradition. Within the (Esoteric) Yoruba Tradition, Christ is known as “OLÓFIN ALA”, the Smallest Son of OLÓFIN (the Conscious Manifestation of God). The First Son of OLÓFIN ÒRUN was OLÓFIN ÈLÀ (The Spirit Essence of Purity).
What image do we have of Jesus? The image is one of a Compassionate person, Why? All the Divine Beings don’t need anything from the Earthly Beings. The Divine knows and recognize its Power. Christ or Yeshua, there are many things written about him. What we know as Christ in reality is not as people portray him. In Reality JESUS was Furious being, Terrible, Why? No one knows in Truth how is he, only those 16 Major Spirits know the truth about him, and know him. Those who we call Apostles didn’t really know him. Christ is a Marvelous, and is an Enormous Being, but however he is a terrible being, he is Terribly Powerful. The use of terrible here refers not to the malignant aspect, but Terrible here is focus to his WRATH. The True name of Jesus was YOSEF, and he in reality is the smallest Son of OLÓFIN. Christ is the one who decided to Sacrifice himself for Humankind, he is Eternal and Divine, and by been a Divine Being, people had to Pay a very High Price for shedding his Blood. That is why there is so much blood shedding in those lands of Israel, Palestine, and stills more bloodshed to come in that area. No one truthfully knows his true physical form; no one knows many of the real Jewish Secrets.
NOTE: Based on the Teaching giving by Baba Odùdúwà and one of his Emissary Spirits, TATA G, Jesus travel to different lands to seek for knowledge, and he was initiated in different Traditions. He went to Egypt, Persia, India, Himalayas, and also people didn’t that he also went to Africa and specially to Yorubaland and there he was Initiated into IFÁ priesthood.
EGUN TATA G Teaching: Jesus name was mix-up with his father name, Jesus real name was Yosef and his father name was Jesus (Yeshua). Jesus (Yosef) went to Yorubaland, he was consulted with the 16 Cowries Shell of the ÒÒŞÀ tradition, he came with 16 Cowries shell mouths up (Eerindínlógún), that is a sign that the person who is Consulting the Oracle is a SON of OLÓFIN (God), so they took him right away to be Initiated into IFÁ. Also he received other initiations of other African Traditions specially the NGANGA Initiation of Ancestor Worship of Warrior Spirits. When Jesus was in the Catacombs he performed different spiritual practices of African origin (he also did the Bakinya or Rayamiento (Scratch) Ceremony to his inner disciples), also did Egyptian spiritual practices. When he left this world he became a High Spiritual Power, he is very close in Spiritual Hierarchy to Baba Odùdúwà.
BABA ODÙDÚWÀ on the Daughter of Jesus: The know character in the New Testament, Jesus, he only had a daughter, and she died as a Virgin. This woman was of dark color, later people worship her as the Black Virgin, and now a day’s people (Gypsies specially) worship her as SAINT SARAH KALI, they call her the VIRGIN of the GYPSIES, she is venerated in the south of France, and Rumania. She is depicted as a Black Virgin.
Another teaching Odùdúwà gave
Why you said that he has not satiated his Thirst of Blood?
When he (Jesus) did his EBO (Sacrifice), when he shed his Blood in that land (ISRAEL), He also wanted an EBO (a Sacrifice), so Big a Sacrifice he wanted to also be made, that even today still they are paying with blood in that area of ISRAEL, to this they are condemn the people you know as ISRAEL. This is due to the EBO EJE (Blood Sacrifice) and until they pay the same value of the Blood that Jesus shed, the bloodshed won’t stop. Imagine how much the Blood is worth, but not of a regular human, but the blood of a Divinity (ÒRÌŞÀ). This is what you should aspire to reach, to become Divine (as an ÒRÌŞÀ level).
Note: SORRY FOR ANY ENGLISH MISTAKES.
Note: Most think that OLÓFIN ÒRUN is another title for Olódùmarè, but the Teaching of Baba Odùdúwà through his Elègún rejects that statement, and say there are different. The late Nigerian Babalawo Ayo Salami in one of his books mentions that through his Ifá research, he found “Ese Ifá” (Ifá verses) that mention OLÓFIN ÒRUN as a separate Deity from Olódùmarè, and state that he was the First Being in the Firmament.

In actuality, the Egun and Awori people are not yoruba. Their language is Egun which is similar to Ewe language spoken in Benin and parts of Togo. The Egun and Awori language is more 'eweid' than 'Yorubaid'. Some Egun people speak Yoruba just as Okrika people speak Igbo but are not Igbo.
The Aworis claim early link with Benin, however, they are Yorubas in today's Nigerian context.

Many Ijebus dont also believe in Oduduwa thing, I have one as my neighbour here, sometimes he doesnt even see himself as a yoruba he prefers to be called ijebu and this dude is educated. He has his reasons and I respect him
Because your friend doesnt believe in Oduduwa does not mean he is not Yoruba. So because your friend doesnt believe in Yoruba, all Ijebu people are now Igbio.

Listen to yourself. Your sense of reason is that of mentally deranged fellow.

So Ijebu and Awori, Ogun state are now Igbo because of your friend....

Yoruba dictionary created by the International Bible society includes the word Ifayabale. In traditional Yoruba culture Ifayabale describes an Ifa ritual used for settling disputes. It comes from the elision ifa iya baba ile meaning the wisdom of the fathers and mothers of the earth. It is translated in the Bible society dictionary to mean the ascension of our Lord and Master Jesus Christ. Because Ifa is clearly many thousands of years older than Christianity the definition is either deliberated manipulated or profoundly uniformed.Hahahahahaha

Yorubas dont lament about Igbo in Lagos. Yorubas love Igbo in Lagos.

The saying "Lagos is no man's land" get yorubas angry. We want everybody in Lagos. We welcome people on our lands.

1. Lagos is somebody's Land (Igbo always contest this)
2. You can't come from your village and interfere in our politics. Yorubas never do that. Yorubas dont claim to own somebody else's land. We know our boundaries as visitors.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Awori_tribe

The Awori are a tribe of the Yoruba people speaking a distinct dialect of the Yoruba language.

Traditionally, Awori are found in Ogun State and Lagos State, Nigeria. The Awori people migrated from Ile Ife and occupy present day Lagos state, with a considerable section of the Awori clan occupying areas within Ogun State as a direct fall out of the creation of Ogun State in 1976. Towns including Isheri, Ota, Igbesa, Ilobi, Tigbo are all Awori settlements within today's Ogun State in Nigeria. The settlement of the Awori clan preceded the establishment of Abeokuta as an Egba kingdom in 1832, as Isheri, the foremost Awori town within present day Ogun State was settled in the 15th century. The Awori are direct descendants of Olofin, one of the sons of Oduduwa - the father of the yoruba nation. As such, in accordance with Yoruba custom, they brought their crown along with them from Ile Ife. Osolo, one of the sons of Prince Olofin, settled at the Osi quarters as his father and his brother journeyed further south from the place where the plate sank at Idumota. The first crowned Oba at Ota was Oba Akinsewa Ogbolu in 1621, he was the son of Osolo.[1]

I am from Ile-Ife, we have many cultural/traditions that are the same as Benin. Ife culture is like Benin. Atimes Ife doesnt look Like Yoruba,

Artifact, Cultural items, dressing is more of Benin...

I am just arguing to set the record straight.

Benin history did not take cognizance of Oduduwa. Any history that separate Oduduwa and his seven sons from Yoruba is totally wrong and scam.

Oduduwa is Yoruba. Rewrite your history to have Odudwa in it. We will accept that grin grin grin grin grin

That's why you should always read wide. He left because of the 'ibinu'(anger) in Bini people when he couldn't take it again, with the aim of taking up Ife stool but to his dismay, it has been occupied, so he had to leave again to set up his own kingdom.

You can read more from Prince Akenzua's reply to Ooni:

So no validity and credibility... Remeber, Muslims claim Jesus christ was a muslim, Jewish/christian claimed he was not. People write history to lay claim of what its not theirs. Benin are not the first people.

YOU STILL HAVE NOT ANSWERED THE QUESTION

OSHODI IS A FAMILY NAME, WHAT IS THE MEANING

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THE WORD IDU IN YORUBA

BRAET THEM DOWN

THEN WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THE WORD

LEKI

IKOYI

I AM WAITING FOR ANY PURE YORUBA THAT CAN PICK UP THE CHALLENGE PLS

THIS WILL PUT THE LAGOS NO MAN LAND AT REST
Yorubas are found to shorten their words.

Oduduwa =Odua
Lekki = Ile Ki ki (Swampy land)
Modakeke = Modeke
Erekosu = Eko (wenjele)
Iko Eyi = Ikoyi (Meaning meeting this)...meeting something.
Alagbede = Agbede

This is topic in Yoruba Language. You need to study Yoruba language in school to know these basic things.

And these words are not Igbo word either, Ikoyi is in Ilehsa, Ekiti, and Ibadan...So its a Yoruba verb. Not benin or Igbo

nobody that is not a Benin prince trained in the arts and traditions of Benin can rule the great land of igodomigodo... Please look at history and talk like some a someone educated.. This your story is half baked this is the real gist .The exiled Prince Ekaladerhan who was not known in Yoruba land, somehow earned the title of Oni Ile-fe Izoduwa which is now corrupt to yoruba language as Ooni (Oghene) of Ile-Ife Oduduwa and refused to return, then sent his son Oranmiyan to become king. Prince Oranmiyan took up his abode in the palace built for him at Usama by the elders (now a coronation shrine). Soon after his arrival he married a beautiful lady, Erinmwinde, daughter of Osa-nego, was the ninth Enogie (Duke) of Ego, by whom he had a son. After some years residence here he called a meeting of the people and renounced his office, remarking that the country was a land of vexation, Ile-Ibinu (by which name the country was afterward known) and that only a child born, trained and educated in the arts and mysteries of the land could reign over the people. He caused his son born to him by Erinmwinde to be made King in his place, and returned to Yoruba land Ile-Ife. After some years in Ife, he left for Oyo, where he also left a son behind on leaving the place, and his son Ajaka ultimately became the first Alafin of Oyoof the present line, while Oranmiyan himself was reigning as Oni of Ife. Therefore, Oranmiyan of Ife, the father of Eweka I, the Obaof Benin, was also the father of Ajaka, the first Alafin of Oyo. Oni of Ife and Alafe of Oyo is a Bini spoken language all the Kings title in Southerner are Edo Language. In Nigeria Edo has the greatest and rich culture and most influence in West Africa and powerful King in Nigeria.
Now let me finish you off with your scam history. This is a cue from wikipedia. If wikipedia is wrong, you can take your case up with them. You benin people and Igbo always want to claim to own Yoruba land. And this corrupt and scamming attitude will be met with stiff resistance. Fulanis want to claim Yoruba land, Igbo, Now Benin tomorrow who knows if its Ijaw. Now read the following and shut up.....
=========================================

Oduduwa, Olofin Adimula, Emperor and First Suzerain of the Yoruba, was the Oba of Ile-Ife. His name, phonetically written by Yoruba language-speakers as Odùduwà and sometimes contracted as Odudua or Oòdua, is generally ascribed to the ancestral dynasty of Yorubaland due to the fact that he is held by the Yoruba to have been the ancestor of their numerous crowned kings.[1] Following his post-humous deification, he was admitted to the Yoruba pantheon as an aspect of a primordial divinity of the same name. Fulanis too will come up with their history about how they own Yoruba land.

Oral history of the Oyo-Yoruba recounts the coming of the Oba Oduduwa from the east, sometimes understood by some sources as the "vicinity" of Mecca, but more likely signifying the region of Ekiti and Okun sub-communities in northeastern Yorubaland/central Nigeria. Ekiti is near the confluence of the Niger and Benue rivers, and is where the Yoruba language is presumed to have separated from related ethno-linguistic groupings like Igala, Igbo, and Edo.[3]

When Oduduwa arrived ancient Ife, he and his group are believed to have conquered the component communities and to have evolved the palace structure with its effective centralized power and dynasty. Going by the tribal records, he is commonly referred to as the first Ooni of Ife and progenitor of the Yoruba people.

Some oral traditions claim that Oduduwa was Olodumare's favourite orisha, and as such was sent from heaven to create the earth.

There is much controversy concerning him and his place in the Yoruba pantheon, and consensus on the subject is as elusive as it is with any other "creation myth". However, the Ife are known for telling the following story:

A certain number of divinities were to accomplish the task of helping earth develop its crust. On one of these visits Obatala, the King of White Clothes, took to the stage equipped with a mollusk that held in its shell some form of soil; two winged beasts and some cloth like material. Having made palm wine from the palm trees he caused to grow after shaping the planet, he began to drink ; soon falling into a drunken stupor, he was unable to accomplish the task he was originally given. Olodumare then sent Oduduwa to save what was left of the mission.

When Oduduwa found the Obatala in a "tipsy" state, he simply took over and completed the tasks. The place which he leaped onto from the heavens and which he redeemed from the water to become land was named Ile-Ife and is now considered the sacred and spiritual heart of Yorubaland.

Due to this experience, Obatala is said to have subsequently made it a taboo for any of his devotees to drink palm wine.

Forgiven by Olodumare, he was later given the responsibility of molding the physical bodies of human beings; the making of land in this story is said to be a symbolic reference to the founding of the Yoruba kingdoms, and this is why Oduduwa is credited with the achievement.[4]

absoluteSuccess - Whenever history is brought to the table you Yorubas find it difficult to bring scholarship to the table. True educated and knowledeable HISTORIANS do not recourse to insults and abuse to defend their points.

First did you read that story very well? Tell me the truth - is there anywhere you read (or heard) any of your so-called Yoruba Historians alluded to the fact that people from present day Yorubland are domiciled in present day Delta, via old Benin? Am sure you did not! Why? Because they carefully kept such historical truth from you guys, so they can continue to deceive you - about the lies called "YORUBA"

Again I asked you: "Have you ever accepted the fact that some of your so-called kinsmen are domiciled in Niger Delta? And remember all those places were once under the ruler-ship of the Oba of Benin"

Now this story came out, 100s of Yorubas read it and extremely FEW commented with tongues in your chic, while majority carefully passed off, without commenting. Even you, absoluteSuccess did not comment directly on this historical fact, but instead attacked one of my points!

For me, a story like this has shown that most part of Yoruba History are lies and fables. And I hope you will lesson your boastfulness and grandstanding. I hope your historians will not one day, coupled up lies that those towns are "yorubaland"

NOTE: Stop deceiving yourself, Yoruba is not one. The word/term Yoruba was a mid 19th century appellation to group you guys together. This is a fact of history, well recorded so no one can change it.
Guy thats what they teach you in school. Arabs teach their children "They are the owner of Jerusalem", it doesnt mean Arabs own Jerusalem. Everyone teach history from a favourable perspective, it doesnt mean its true.

Yorubas are Yorubas, Oduduwa is not from Benin, Okanbi is not from Benin. We only have few things in common. The only cultural similaries can be seen in Ile-Ife alone. Because Ife son becomes Oba of Benin, so he went there with Ife costumes.

Have you seen core Yoruba cultures? Its nothing of Benin. No similarities, Yorubas are a different set of people, very unique.

The IFA, the talking drum, Kijipa e.t.c....we are too big to come from that small benin. Ofcourse we had political marriages.

Its like Fulani people claiming Yorubas are descendant of Fulanis. Because we have intermarried and live together in Ilorin...Thats just political influence...Ilorin is not the source of Yorubas....

Get that into your skull

..................

However if the enclave of benin want to identify with Yorubas, there is no harm in that. We yorubas are friendly...You can even come and claim Lagos... Lagos, Yoruba Land is for everyone. Everyone is welcome. But do us a favor, dont be like Igbo who want rewrite the history of Yorubas..

Leave our history be...Leave us alone... Our culture is too rich for any ethnic group to tamper with.

Ifa was dated 600BC. IFA even alerted Yoruba people when Jesus was born...Ifa acknowledged the elders of a birth of "egg in the eye of olodumare"...Eyin loju olodumare....the precious one to the creator...

I have read IFA divinity, but christianity is my way, cuz IFA cant answer some question the bible answered.
