Your idea of reaching out is good but MBC Channels donot show Islamic content. Generally, Islam forbids watching sexy images or musicals with such themes. Your kind words are quiet appealing.

My own Superscreen is also not that sharp and clear. I guess it is the transmission from Infinity.

If blindscan (with good signal strength) can not bring up the 42 channels I wonder what else can?
I tried with 9x but no way. Or do I need a HD box?

If you have 4669x and some infinity channels have no sound then it is because your box lacks Advanced Audio Code (AAC) capability. You can upgrade the box with 1.10p software. The HE AAC software for the 9x is available on the web. Just Goggle it.

When I bought my 4669x in June 2010 the firmware was 1.05p with MyTv logo. It was upgraded to 1.07p still with Mytv logo. Then Infinity channels came up with audio absent from some channels (HE Advanced Audio Code). There was so much controversy on this AAC thing. Hotheads insulting cool heads.

I have now upgraded my 1.07p to 110p direct (skipped 1.09p). These are the advantages for all Doubting Thomases

My TV logo removed
Faster booting
Smoothens fluctuating (breaking) signals
HE AAC fully installed for FUTURE
Stereo sound from all (unscrambled) infinty channels (temporary enjoyment).

Please get the knowhow, original 9x  and correct file before you upgrade. The xperience can be exciting or frustrating.

It is not the I R Sensor that was faulty, the problem is from the main board. It has been fixed now by My Tv technician.

It is power problem. It could be the "choke" or the power IC. It could even be the fuse if you are lucky. Any good technician would be able to fix it.

My 4669x box has stopped responding to the remote control. I have to use the manual scroll keys to change channels to watch. I can't do anything else without the remote. The remote is working with my friends' 9x. Any ideas pls?
