Well I believe DEVs are human beings also...from the post, custom roms are made and maintained by local developers.
Firstly we should ask ourselves, do we have android developers in Nigeria?
Secondly, if we do, what are they doing with their time and resources?
Thirdly, if we don't, how do we start encouraging our youths to become developers?

If we can answer these questions, then I think we won't need to wait for 'white' men before we derive satisfaction from devices we love.

Ps. Note, phones like tecno, infinix, injoo and the likes can only be found in markets and economies like Nigeria. So its time for Nigerians to step up!

We've been doing a lot of dev work on Tecno & Infinix phones, bringing CM to them is one of such (Keslar Infinito) but all effort to get these people to release their source codes have proved abortive. whats modding without source codes?
Nigerian Android devs are working (at least for those working on MTK), these companies are not just helping developers. For this reason, most of what you see are themed ROMs. The 4.4 upgrade for Tecno M3 4.2 (not themed) we're working on has been a tasking project as we've had to rely on source codes of other MT6572 phones and patches.
I believe it starts with these device manufacturers adhering to the GPL laws and releasing their source codes. without this, it'll just be porting and themeing galore.. nothing from scratch

root access, fonts & system apps are embedded in the /system folder of Android and such can't be wiped out with the factory reset button.

I did factory reset on my Tecno H6 after the reset the applications and data are all deleted but;
1. The phone remain rooted with king user installed
2. The font I was using before the factory reset was now the default font while the ifont application has been cleared.

itel is spectrum cpu it cant be unlock by vol up and vol down stuff you need software such as gpg dragon or volcano to do this take the phone to software engineer

any solution, all who downloaded that f8 stock ROM from got same problem

you could get this error for a number of reasons but the no space error might be around the corner. many people have fixed their F8s with our F8 backup (this is one test we put all stock backups through to decide whether to keep distributing or take down )
would be happy to help look into your F8 issue

I use a tecno p5 andriod phone.
Recently, I updated my whatsapp to the latest version having the read script feature & days after the update, a pop up message displayed from the app, requiring for a new country code & number. I do not know what this means, I have entered my number & country code severally but each time I did, the response I got was "unable to connect to server" As it is now, the pop up message won't leave my screen cos it pops up anytime I attempt to use the app, thereby preventing access. I have cleared my cache data, even had to uninstall & reinstall & also sent a new whatsapp app from a friend's phone via flashshare, yet to no avail.
Any solution please. Thanks.
