Qassy4all:
Good evening Mama's
I have a daughter (3months+) who have been having eye discharge since birth
And she was placed on Ciprofloxacin eye drop by Paediatrician which we used and the discharge stop only for it to start again after a week
We have been using the eye drop for some time now and the result is the same
What else can be done
I would advice you to drop all eye drops for now and try what worked for us.

Just like you, I took bf back to paediatrician when I noticed the eye discharge, (this was about 9days after delivery), she prescribed eyedrops and antibiotics which I religiously used, but nothing changed.
I consulted a nurse who told me to get Eva bottled water, boil, cool and pour back into bottle.
Clean the affected eye with this water and cotton wool like 3-5times a day.
Mode of cleaning is to gently clean from the inner part of the eye outward, and it has to be a one-way thingy.

Hope this works for you, as it did for us.

I suggest you barb everything after which you will be massaging the head with palmkernel oil allover. It will regrow evenly and strong.
You voiced my thought.
This is the best way to handle it

Hey!
I sometime learnt ileraEko package covers for major surgeries like myomectomy
Please, find out to know if it does.
If it actually do, I have a slot you could use.
I don't know much about hospitals around Festac.
But I have so much confidence in Subol (at Idimu) and Beehess(at Egbeda).
Meanwhile, closeness to residence is another factor you should consider because of post surgery check ups.

The Lord lead you aright sis.

Hey sis!
I feel your pains, confusion and frustration.
All will be well IJN. ... Sending hugs!
I had fibroids (discovered Jan 2017, had myomectomy Sep 2020), and the same thing your doctors told you was what I was told by many doctors and lab scientists each time I go check on the fibroids.
What can I say!

It's a two way thingy.....!
I have a friend whose fibroids sizes' description meet yours, but as God would have it, she conceived two weeks to her wedding day. (Hubby arrived from UK for wedding prep, they copulated, & unknowingly to them, pregnancy don enter) Shortly after wedding, she was feeling down, she tested, & boom BFP.! Twas like a miracle to us.

The one on the other hand is my case, i followed doctors ' advice, left the tumors, got married, no show, waited for more than a year before I later made up my mind on surgery!
10weeks after surgery, God did it, I conceived!
Meanwhile, I could only leave it that long because I wasn't symptomatic, just menstrual cramps!
But in ur case, you are,.
So, If it's health threatening, please make up your mind on surgery, all you need do is make your findings, get a V. GOOD HOSPITAL WITH GOOD HANDS!
Walk in for surgery... Before u know it, ur healed & fine.... & with your Faith unshaken, you will be a mother!

Sis ! Please, am not trying to confuse you here, BUT, If it's not life threatening, please pray and focus on getting a partner, try fess, then........
Hope you get?
God help you!

Please show some empathy. You don't speak ill of the dead.
You dey mind am... Smh!
It was even a mansion.
A duplex for that matter!

There's this lady (and some other) on Ranthq who claimed to be the late lady's friend.
According to her, it was a mysterious death.
The man with his two children collapsed in the living room, his MIL who came for omugwo who was in the kitchen heard some sound, rushed down to the living room, and also collapsed there.
The new mother on the other hand was with her baby in the bedroom, she sensed what was happening and picked up her phone to call her Reverend aunty, she told her to try and get out with the baby, but as at that time, she could no longer walk, she dropped the baby on the bed, crawled into the living room and died there also.
Obviously, the house/land get comma.

May God save us and all ours from the mysteries of this wicked World!

Am facing similar challenge, gave birth on the 30th May via CS , my sister started using feeding bottle to feed the baby despite the nurse's admonition. Now , baby prefers bottle to breast and am still not 100% lactating.

Dr advise constant putting of baby to breast before feeding with bottle .Hmmm.Its well I've always been a fan of EBF but see me now.How I wish my baby will start sucking I'll be the happiest person.
S/he will still suck grin
I rmbr den, my sis & mum & all around always marvel at how a weeks old baby wl prefer bottle to direct sucking.
...& I was thinking probably dt ws why he wasn't gaining weight . sad
At some point, the frustrated me started showering like 5-6times in a day, with frequent changing of bra join, (thinking probably sweat/sth I don't even know was irritating him)

Chai! It was SO frustrating as oga likes food, it became more frustrating wen one 60ml bottle no dey satisfy him @ a feed, so expressing frequently was really a big deal for the just recovering me... Night feeding nko!
Infact, I almost fought my mum for always suggesting we gt formula, I cudnt let anything not too serious jeopardize my EBF plan undecided
To cut the long story short, just wen we wr considering getting bigger bottles, all of a sudden, baba started refusing bottle 🍼, he wl suck till he's sweat drenched, sigh, den smile wink
His grandma wud say; ehn en, now u know d difference....

Good evening my people
Please what can be used to treat mucus (IPIN in Yoruba) coming out from the angle of the eyes
Thank you
My baby experienced this, I was told twas gonna stop on its own, but I couldn't sit back and watch.
The first thing I did was to take him back to hospital, he was examined, antibiotics and eyedrop were given.. Was also told to get non alcoholic wipes to be cleaning the eye.
I administered those for weeks, but it didn't stop.
Having exhausted the antibiotics,I discontinued the eyedrop when some nurse told me to just get Eva bottled water, boil, leave to cool, then return back into the bottle
Clean the affected eye( from the corner of the eye to the other side, make it a one-way thing) with cotton wool & the cooled water for like 3-4 times a day.
It worked!

Hello mamas

Please has anyone experienced high blood pressure after delivery, my baby will be 3months tomorrow. Now, I am getting worried and its weighing me down. At the sight of BP monitor I get extremely scared.

Some people say there is pregnancy induce but its goes after 6weeks of delivery. I went through some trauma after delivery because my tear was lose I had to go back to the hospital like twice to be done again.
These whole thing is driving me crazy.

God please come through for me
Hey mama.
So sorry you had to go through restitching and all, you' be fine.
As for the HBP, am almost always on the low side, so I don't know about it, but adequate rest may be all you need to be fine.
Hope you have a good support system ?
Make sure you feed well, take your drugs, & rest as much as you can.
God be with you and the new born.

Please help o, my 6 months old baby girl is screaming uncontrollably for no reason. It's not that she's crying o, just screaming. What could be the reason (s) please?
She's be fine mama..
I don't know how true, but Yorubas attribute that kind of uncontrollable screaming in babies to teething preparation.

i beg which hospital is that. The one am using is completely free though it's a general hospital
SUBOL..
Though, I later learnt I could have gone for a better package, I never knew!
I opted for the one of family of 6 (40k), I learnt there's one for family of 4 (which cost 65k), with this, you pay nothing.

It's better one makes deep enquires, to get full details before registering.
