There is already a more expensive alternative. Deflazacort branded as Defal macrodata: Some other big pharma wants it out of the market. Watch how an alternative will spring up from nowhere. |

Dexamethasone is more potent than prednisolone There are specific indications to prescribe each one. juniorrate: if u dont trust the dexamethasone, u can take prednisone inplace of it, both are steroid which act fast to stop inflammation in the body and it suppress the immunity, also the side effect is very bad and can cause diabetic if taken for long term. some people with autoimmune disorder can take that drug daily |
Health › Re: Is This A Fake Drug? by HSfoundation(m): 2:03pm On Jan 23, 2023 |
There are specific reasons why the doctor will want your father to use the drug "Dexamethasone" .
It is a Steriod medication...that is use with caution, as such the doctor or doctors in question must have evaluated him and found it necessary for him. It is not a drug to use without doctor prescription as it has side effects which the doctor will prevent as he uses the drug.
The concern of the pharmacist might have been a batch of the drug ..not the drug it self. NAFDAC cannot ban a drug like dexamethasone because of it's benefits but if a batch of it or a specific brand was found to be unsafe ....then they can recall those specific one.
My 2kobo submission ...It's not a fake drug. It is used with caution on doctors instructions.

SocialJustice: Tinubu has really grown. Remained relevant and climbing constantly since leaving office in 2007.I can't even remember 10 of the governors from 1999 to 2007. Let me try.
Ahmed Tinubu, James Ibori, Donald Duke, Lucky Igbinedion, Victor Attah, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, Peter Odilli, Gbenga Daniel, Makarfi Mbadinuju
I'm done. They've mostly gone into oblivion while Tinubu is getting ready to be president. Mbadinuju... Is not part of the list |

Politics › Court Of Appeal Voids Sani Musa’s Election As Senator by HSfoundation(op): 11:15am On Apr 19, 2019 |
The Court of Appeal in Abuja has nullified the election of Mohammed Sani Musa and declared Senator David Umaru as senator-elect for Niger East Senatorial District. In a judgment read by Justice Stephen Adah, the appellate court set aside the judgment of a Federal High Court in Abuja on the grounds that the court lacked the jurisdiction to entertain the matter having become statute barred by law. Justice Adah held that Sen. Umaru was duly elected candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to issue him with a certificate of return. Justice Folashade Ogunbanjo had on February 7 dismissed the preliminary objection by Umaru’s counsel, Chris Osuagwu, that the suit by Sani Musa was outside 14 days stipulated by the law on pre-election matters. He had submitted that the primary election was conducted on October 2, 2018 while the petition was filed at the court on October 26, 2018, which was outside the 14 days stipulated by the law. Umaru said the primary of October 2, 2018 was cancelled by the APC for irregularities while the party conducted a fresh primary on October 5, 2018, which he won. Senator Umaru has expressed appreciation to God and his supporters who stood by him “when all this travesty took place.” He said the judgment has vindicated him. Meanwhile, a counsel the chambers of Wole Olanipekun (SAN), counsel to Sani Musa, has expressed the intention of the legal team to appeal to the Supreme Court following the decision of the Court of Appeal. tlops: That is why you are not a doctor or a business person. Assuming you do that for five patients in a month with total cost of time and medicals of about 500k. The patients come promising to pay you but after treatment they start begging you in the name of God. Trying to blackmail you with emotions. Then you don’t have money to replace used medication and cannot pay your struggling staffs, who later cannot pay their own bills. And the chain continues. The hospital will just become BMC BUHARI MEDICAL CENTRE characterized by no drugs, no consumables, poor amenities and underpaid staff and salary but with good body language Yeye |

brownhawk: u can't blame people for asking for help first. It's not as if we have good access to health insurance. And health breakdown is usually unpredictable and deadly. Moreover not all people have savings habit. Some may have drop saving habit due to lots of responsible demands. The best hospitals could do is not to turn dying people away but to demand for valuable collateral in exchange for immediate service Like what sir? I mean the collateral to ask from tgem |
