Shalom! @Bolddy, what will you say to the whole world in 5 Minutes ? for me i will say all is vanity Pray, what is the meaning of this? |
@ifexfree24 "i beg i need any lovely girl wey rich and wey dey live for abuja make any interested person just call this my number 08054449776" Why not simply put an advert in any of the national dailies? This is too cheap a forum to look for "a rich and lovely girl wey dey live for abuja". Stupid! |

Inferiority complex, may be! Otherwise, i see no shame in stating one's exact location. |
Shalom, We, as humans, demand so much out of life. We want good government, nice houses, fine cars, wealth, good kids, cleaner and sustainable environment, etc. The list is endless, depending on each person's priority. May be now is the time to pause and ponder. What has been your contribution to life? What has been your contribution to living and humanity. You do not need to have a nobel prize for life to feel your impact. You do not need to be a Rockefeller for you to have made a significant contribution to existence. For i tell you one thing, brothers and sisters, we all in our various ways, with our little, small and big acts, make life tick. We constitute humanity and make history in our various ways. So, let's start having your comments. I say, once again, what have you contributed to life?! It is not just enough to demand so much of living. What have you returned back to it? |
Shalom! @Kingsikaz Or is it "King Se Ika"? I am awaiting more vitriolics from you. This is an opportunity for you to pour your venom (if you've really got any). Then my black arrow shall fly and sting you where it hurts most, you stupid-sodden idiot. Have a field day for now! |
@Kingsikaz, Why do you rush in and out of Nairaland? Is it that expensive at the Cybercafe at Shade Street, Epe? Or would you rather spend your little change on your Yahoo business? Your acts are rather cunning and dangerous to say the least. Again, it does you no credit to pose with your Uncle's abandoned car beside that uncompleted building. What a background! No wonder your problems with literacy. Really, your last post made no sense! Why do you "murder" the Queen's English with such impunity?! And you really do not give a hoot. You just believe in using your stained hands to write any rubbish that comes to your mind. This antisocial trait of yours is symptonmatic of a serious personality disorder. I doubt if you really know what that means? You can check your basic English dictionary for the meaning. Oh! Just as a favour to an ignorant friend, your by-line is really an insult on an international forum. Life is a functional file, brother! . It's not as you ignorantly wrote it - "Life is functional file". Does this make sense?! ![]() |
Shalom! @ holythug, She must really be a porn queen in the making. Wonder how many men she would have slept with by now?! @Kingsikaz Dear Kingsikaz, how are you? Why did it take you so long to reply? I had been expecting your reply for a couple of days now. So you are still expecting more insult? Well, you just a wait a minute. By the way, what do you mean by: "no insult, no result"? You see, you confirm daily that you are really confused and take too much liberty with the English language. One removes the shackles of illiteracy by learning to read and write. Thereafter, one learns common sense so as to apply the newly acquired knowledge rightly. In your own case, you failed to complete the basic acquisition of knowledge. You are half-baked and failed to realise this. Secondly, you simply did not bother to acquire common sense. Can you see the picture? This reminds me of a Chinese saying that goes this way: "he who knows not and knows not that he knows not, avoid him, he is foolish". Dear Kingsikaz, that is the summary of your existence. However, I must commend your honesty as regards your continued participation in this thread. By this unsolicited participation, you fully agree that you are really stupid and foolish. To date you have not done or said anything to dispel this notion. Overall, your contributions, most times, make no sense. Your failure to be well grounded in Queen's English does you no credit. I have taken the pains to go through your posts on Nairaland. Hiding behind pidgin English in the name of being guyish does not fool anyone. The few instances where you made attempt to write good English were disastrous. Honestly, accept my advise and complete your O'level first. Did you observe that Shalom! still remains? And you still shamelessly contribute to same thread despite your mortal fear of that salutation? A word is enough for the wise. |
Shalom! @Kingsikaz, You went beyond your limit, in the first instance, by contributing to this thread. It was not meant for idiots like you. Again, by your last response, there is no doubt that you are really stupid. It is a measure of your inconsistency that you are now suddenly living at Ajah and not Shade (Epe) anymore. Are you afraid that you will be traced out? A word of advice for you - please endeavour to complete your O-level before making further contributions to serious forums. You can use your odorous mouth to contribute to cheap topics meant for your type in the interim. Since my greetings remain unchanged and i see no way by which you can force me to change it, why not commit a self-induced hara-kiri? |
Shalom! @Kingsikaz: learn how use word when greetin. shalom is out place here! we are not in a religious setting! what gives us d assurance that u are not among those men! u try 2 cover-up, bi integratin nigeria girls in2 d matter. bros, abeg! go for Hiv- test, because u'r not save! I never believed that the moderator will allow this trash piece of contribution. Since it was allowed, i will endeavour to give it a befitting response. I have always enjoyed my time on this forum, as the aim is to stimulate discussion and interactions. I still maintain that, despite the conditions of participation as enumerated by the moderator, this remains a free forum. However, i was disillusioned for once, on reading the reply quoted above. It is nothing short of amazing! I do not want to join issues with the writer, but i believe contributions like this lower the integrity of this forum. Can you imagine the ranting called contribution? I only raised a social issue. What has this got to do with my greetings? What has it got to do with: "what gives us d assurance that u are not among those men! u try 2 cover-up, bi integratin nigeria girls in2 d matter"? To make matters worse, what is the relevance of: "bros, abeg! go for Hiv- test, because u'r not save!"?. Obviously, from the level of grammar exhibited, this person is very immature, barely literate and has a long way to go. A social forum should not be an avenue to pass unsolicited insult. There is no point in writing nonsense, if there is practically nothing to contribute. This rascal also claimed to live in Shade Street, Epe. How coincidental! The good people of Shade and Ajaganabe areas of Epe will shudder on reading this trash from someone who claim to live in their midst. Kingsikaz, or whatever you call your name, you need to learn how to operate in decent and civilised settings. I am not one of your typical dregs of the society. Let us try to exercise care in making contributions. A word is enough for the wise. |
Shalom! @ Sista-Jay, just what i thought for the rather prolonged silence of the female folks! So it is no news for a girl of 18 to sleep with over 50 men? This world is definitely coming to an end. For your information, it would still be a big news, a bombshell, if a boy of 18 admits to same atrocity. It is neither pardonable for a boy nor a girl. Fellow Nigerians, are we speaking with one voice? To Blackmamba: the issue is that of the sexually hyperactive teenager. However, your concerns seems to be with my greetings - Shalom! Shalom means nothing but peace. I am not aware of a code of conduct for greetings or what you termed "socially acceptable" greetings. It is a free forum and i bring nothing but peace. If you are offended by this greeting, please accept my sincere apologies. The greeting is only a reflection of me and my message. |
Shalom! I completely agree with the views expressed by Bankole01, re: summary execution of these shameless and murderous army officers and the unparalleled forgiving spirits of Nigerians, irrespective of the gravity of crime committed. It is amazing that the officers are yet to be convicted and yet Nigerians are already begging for forgiveness. On a serious note, isn't it obvious that these misguided officers merely represent part of the Nigerian syndrome, that deep-seated urge to get rich at all costs? Let us pause and not treat this case in isolation. To do so would not achieve the desired end. Our appetite for wealth, sudden lazy wealth especially, would no doubt spell the demise of this geographical experiment called Nigeria, if not properly tackled. It is a problem calling for urgent solution. We need a form of national re-orientation - spare me the Babangida approach, please! No doubt, these officers should not be spared their deserved reward. They should be summarily executed - right? However, in doing so, every public office holder in Nigeria who is directly or indirectly guilty of corrupt enrichment should equally be executed. This is because for every penny stolen, so many lives are lost. Any form of public stealing amounts to blood money. In this wise, no previous governor of any state should be spared. All previous Heads of State should be killed. Most permanent secretaries would be found guilty. The list is endless! The above solution seems impractical and hence not viable, at least not for now. So, let us re-visit the case of these disgraced army officers once again. The initial reaction based on contempt for corruption, patriotism and what have you, is to suggest their summary execution. However, in the light of above argument, should they still be killed? They merely represent everything Nigerian. They should not be killed. However, other forms of punishment are appropriate. This is a rational decision not based on any unscrupulous "Nigerian forgiving spirit". The real solution is re-shaping the Nigerian nation. The complete suppression and banishment of the present corrupt oligarchy. This is the real thing, otherwise, selective killing of public office thieves amount to nothing but murder. May the blessings be!! |
Shalom! @Taopheek - a real sexual career indeed! Oddly, Nigerians are finding it difficult to respond to this thread. Could it be that this is now a way of life amongst teenagers? Where are all the Nigerian girls and ladies? Is this a sign of the modern age? The more male conquest, the merrier?! |
Shalom! I cannot but agree with the views expressed by Betty 605. Redsun, the purpose of your argument is really not clear and it really sounds childish. In one breath, you were advocating the deification of Fela Anikulapo-Kuti. At the same time, you were eulogising the benefits of cannabis. I am sorry to say, but all your arguments are simply based on ignorance. I am into the field of mental health here in the United Kingdom and i have seen the horrendous effects of cannabis on young minds. This has prompted the reported intention of the UK government to re-classify cannabis as a grade B drug. Many minds have been destroyed from taking cannabis. It is not a drug worth eulogising. As it is such a free world, you are very free to make Fela your God, but please refrain from linking the non-acceptance of your weird belief to a reason for Africa's underdevelopment. I really cannot see how your proposal will accelerate Africa's economic progress. Enough of this abnormal topic. Anyway, for me, i am signing out. |
Shalom ! A bombshell occurred in London on Thursday morning. Londoners woke up to read in their favourite free newspaper, Metro, that a girl of 18 confessed to having slept with over 50 men. You can imagine my consternation on reading this news. On looking back, however, i realised that barring social restrictions, many Nigerian girls of same age would proudly boast of having surpassed this ignominious achievement, the threats of AIDS notwithstanding! What is the world really turning to? Where has morality travelled to? Really, who is to blame - these loose girls or their parents? Which sort of world are we living in? Or has sex become such a cheap commodity that it should really not matter the number of men so "conquered"? What is really happening? ![]() Me, i think the whole world is going really nutters!! |
Shalom! @ Whitelexi: Smart Nigerian guys don't marry from london, majority run home to marry, and you are actually looking for one here . Are you really serious about this? Are the girls at home any better? Are they not the same ones who travel down to the UK? I am referring to Nigerian girls in the UK. For the chap looking for a wife in London, my advise is keep on searching!! |
Shalom! Ladies and Gentleman, i read in the Nigerian dailies today that MEND has confirmed the presence of foreign mercenaries in the region!! The report gives a serious cause for concern. There is no doubt that the Niger Delta is a sad case of a neglected honey pot. However, recent events indicate that the original aim of people like Isaac Boro and Ken Saro-Wiwa has been hijacked by hoodlums. This leads one to the pertinent question: can guerilla warfare solve the myriad problems of this region? Though extremely bad and highly unjustified, nevertheless, the problems of the Niger Delta is a reflection of the greater Nigerian dilemma. It is what happens when a country fails to get the type of leader it deserves. Nigeria of today is being ruled by thieves and imbeciles who care pretty little about the well-being of its citizens. To further compound things for the Niger Delta, its supposed political leaders and traditional rulers are part of the Nigerian malaise - egocentric thieves. Having said this much, would anyone consider the introduction of guerillas as a viable alternative? What does MEND stand to gain by blowing up the Third Mainland bridge in Lagos as threatened? In the event of this happening, who bears the brunt? Common people on the streets. Would that solve the problems of the Niger Delta? Another thing to consider is the history of bush wars in world history. History has taught us that thay hardly solve any problem. Rather they create more. War has never been a viable option to any human problem, be it social or political. This is something the people of this region should seriously digest. The ecological and environmental damages caused in this region by oil exploration, gas flaring and sundry others are too numerous to mention. It is indeed a pathetic situation that warrants urgent priority from any responsible government, but not the Nigerian government. Half-hearted approaches and lip service has been the solution proffered by the vagabonds in power in Nigeria. Nevertheless, i have a sneaky feeling that the introduction of foreign mercenaries is taking the struggle to another dimension. One that goes beyond calling attention to the problems of this region. There is something sinister behind it all. The question is, what does MEND and other militant and non-militant groups in the region really want? |
I would want the moderator to have a second look at this thread as it may not serve the intended purpose. The intention of the originator is not really clear. Was he looking for some alternative to western treatment for epilepsy? If that were to be the case, then the thread is in order. Various "doctors" are bringing numerous suggestions, some so dangerous for such a serious ailment! If the originator wanted a sincere advise, then this thread may not serve the purpose. Reason is simply that to date, there has not been a recorded cure for epilepsy. Of course, it is possible to control with medications, however, instances have been recorded of "status epilepticus" which have proved problematic to manage and could be fatal. It does not appear as if the case highlighted is status, but that of a badly controlled epilepsy. Has the sufferer been compliant with prescribed medications? This is of paramount importance. Or has he been running from pillar to post in search of magical cure? To me, it appears the latter seems to be the case. The sufferer should contact neurologists at any of the Nigerian Teaching Hospitals. There are many anti-epileptic drugs to choose from. Naturally, he would also be counselled on how to identify and avoid possible triggers and advised on life style modifications. As per possible aetiologies, there are many - genetics, birth complications, head injuries, repeated asphyxia in childhood, etc. My best advise is, stop looking for a non-existent cure but seek for effective control medically. There is no need to advertise a non-tested path like Yetkem in a forum like this. It is not right and unhelpful to the sufferer. I can understand the distress faced by this person but the solution to his problem is having the right orientation. May God provide healing and succour! |
Redsun, If you meant this thread as a light forum to stimulate discusion and jokes, then you are forgiven. If, on the other hand, you are actually serious about "Abami Eda" being a deity in the mould of Master Jesus, then you must be joking! Fela?! "Fela, Fela - this bitch of a life!", like a book on the radical one said, was a phenomenon. A phenomenon in the sense of being a social crusader who decided to use his ingenuity to confront the corrupt contraption called the Nigerian leadership. In the process, he paid a heavy price - definitely not his life. That was effectively taken care of by his uncontrolled lust. Fela spoke about everything African. He was patriotic to the core. However, in living his life, he was unguarded in the sense that he misled many with his unbroken allegiance to "kukuye" or cannabis as you may know it. It would however be unfair to describe him as just an "igbo-smoking hoodlum" like someone wrote. Having said this, he was definitely not a deity and in his interesting life, never claimed to be one. So why make the man what he never claimed to be, dear Redsun? We have had enough deities and messiahs in this world. Let us now concentrate energies on making the world a better place to live. Free of the threats of Al-Queda and so many factors that make living such a dangerous journey. Let us concentrate energies on making Nigeria a better place, free of the suffocating political class that impoverishes the country daily. Let us remember Fela for what he lived for and pray that his soul rests in peace! |
Shalom! I must commend contributors to this thread. Ever since my first contact with the Grail Message while in the University in 1985, i have never particularly understood the use of high fallutin language in this spiritual path. Suffice it to say that there are many spiritual paths as there are many ways to God. Most paths lay claim to being the only way to God. This in itself is spiritual fallacy. True, there are natural laws which transcend most paths and these laws ARE irrespective of belief. They are not the special possession of any one path. Ultimately, the best way to God is the individual and his accumulated karma. This is a bit complex to explain but also not the prerogative of any one path. Most paths have a hierarchical structure which glorifies a form of congregation at the peak of spiritual attainment. i am not surprised that the Grail Message also subscribes to this fallacy. What is the Grail Castle at the peak of creation. Pure gibberish! And it is also not essential to cram so much high sounding words just to appear spiritual. God definitely communicates in easy, simple to understand languages!! Ladies and Gentlemen, do not be brain-washed!!! No one path is superior to another. Ultimately, no spiritual path will save anyone. It is the content of our behaviour, our person and what we make of life itself that really matters. Be wary of "prophets" who speak in uncommon language in order to appear spiritual. God is love and communicates in love. May the blessings be!! |
@Iranoladun: "Despite all these problems, I still believe in EFCC, the Rule of Law and above all I believe in this nation-Nigeria! Things cannot go on like this forever, the revolution has commenced silently! Majority of the Iyabo Obasanjos will definitely pay for their crime when found guilty". Which kind revolution? I beg commot for me, my sister! Revo-wetin? For Nigeria?! Sister, take it or leave it, we are very far away from a revolution in Nigeria. I am sorry to say, despite everything, i agree with one of the submissions. I am afraid to say that i am firmly convinced nothing will happen to Iyabo Obasanjo alias Damilola Okanlawon!! |
Shalom! No matter the the view point subscribed to, the fact remains that the world is becoming unsafe with each passing minute. Brothers and Sisters, we live in troubled times. This is the message i derive from these sad world events. Benazir Bhutto has paid the ultimate debt, may her soul rest in peace. The suddenly divined involvement of America remains the typical Nigerian conjecture. We seem to have a ready made answer to all world tragedies, yet failed to find solutions to our own burning national problems. The important thing at this stage is the unnecessary loss of a soul that has done so much to impact on national and international politics. The key thing is to find a solution to a religious dogma and fanaticism that is making the world an impossible place to live in. One that is doing everything possible to reverse civilisation. These are really troubled times!! Benazir Bhutto, may your soul rest in perfect peace!! ![]() |
To Vicjustice, True, Seun is doing a wonderful work, but i could see that you were almost dorsi-flexing in a "prostrata dobale" style. Why not let's start a Seun Fans Club? |
. It's not as you ignorantly wrote it - "Life is functional file". Does this make sense?!
