I had to follow your advice and it went very well. My uni agent assisted me with the payment and further went ahead to vet my application (i gave her full access to my application page and sent all documents to her), dots the i(s) and also gave me some advice as regards the statement of a thing even though my bank statement covered the 28-days, there was less transactions carried out within those 28 days. She further told me she would prepare me a mock interview pending the real interview day. She was very friendly and helpful too.

Going forward, if you are not still clear about the advice given here, you can still contact your school agent for assistance, after all, it comes at NO cost and why not?

In other unrelated news, exchange rate on Oanda has hit N501. Please fund your accounts if you still can to avoid having further delays with your maintenance requirements. At this rate it’s not too much to use N600/700 as a benchmark

It's is free, but for now, the only location to get this done in Lagos state, Abuja, or possibly in the country, from my inquiry, is some passport offices.

My advice to everyone processing NIN, make sure your BVN details match with what will be on your passport because the federal government law makes that a must.

This how it works: Nigeria Immigration validates your application with NIN, NIN validates your application with BVN and so any discrepancy will cause passport application validation to fail.

Soon all applications in Nigeria will validate with NIN and so NIMC is making sure that there is no discrepancy between BVN details and NIMC records of Nigerian residents.

When you start the application, you choose standard passport but the choice of processing centre and passport type before payment is what makes the difference.

Any location you are, take her to NIMC office at your location.

They open from 8am-4pm.
She should go with any of these -her birth certificate or voters card either temporary or permanent, driver’s license Or any means of identification Given to her by nigerian government.

She would provide them her BVN nd she would be captured the same day.

she would be given 2 slip papers to hold on to till the plastic Identification card is available.
Don’t forget that Enrollment is free.

Then she can proceed to nigeria immigration office at your location for renewal of her passport with the NIN paper given to her.

I paid everything together. You the applicant will fill the form on that link and confirm your appointment.
After completing the online link, send your ID and payment receipt to the email provided and you will get acknowledgment mail.
On the appointment day, tell them you came with family, they know how to work it out

1. Did you pay test fees en block or paid for principal applicant separately? I'm asking because the guidance on registering says only the principal applicant should complete the registration link while others will be registered during the test.

2. After completing the registration link, did you get a confirmation email or anything indicating your user name and password details? Asking in this case because immediately after filling out the online registration form and suggesting a security question, was redirected to a login home page asking for username and password.

Can anyone share their experience in this regard please? Thanks

You don't need to write anything on your statement. The ECO will use the Oanda exchange rate for the day you submit your online application to calculate the £ equivalent your Naira funds.

Please house i want to confirm something.
When we print our statement of account, Is it the exchange rate on the day we deposited the money is what will write on top of the statement?
I use Oanda rate as most of you suggested.

The day you are to capture is stated on your printout however, you can go whenever you want.
I went few days after registering and paying online .
That was before covid and I was attended to.

Your second question, I will use their Nigeria Passport since no special privilege will be given to them with their other passports, they can only get one if they are visiting so it depends on the one you want to use.

UK allow student going for Masters to bring their dependents. They encourage that because having your family and spouse around you helps you to concentrate in your studies.

Yes you have to state all your visa refusals. Just answer yes and state the reasons for the refusal.

1) I applied for a visit visa to the UK in 2014 it was denied based on some documents missing, I reapplied 2 weeks later and it was successful- should I state the first refusal during my application?
2) will I as the principal applicant be the only one to take the visa interview? Or my spouse and possibly kids inclusive?
3) I was told not to let the school know I intend travelling with dependents. What do you think?

1. Parents' Nigerian passports are sufficient for this.

2. Yes, you can with the following;
- Original & copy of birth certificate containing details of parents.
- Letter of consent signed by both parents.
- Photocopy of data page of both parents' current Nigerian passport.
- Photocopy of current data page of non - Nigerian parent.
- Print out of online payment confirmed slip and acknowledgement slip.
- payment slip (not sure about the cost)
