Well since you said as christians, let me give it to you from a spiritual stand point. Forgiveness is not so easy especially when the percieved offender is not remorseful. With that said, it takes the grace of God to forgive. By developing a large heart and maturity, wide range understanding and spiritual mindedness, one can control any situation. And may I add that you get to choose what offends and doesn't offend you as an individual. Its a mental code and its called being-dead. No one can offend me. Physical attack will become violent, mental game will require an access code, forgiveness becomes easy when you respond rather than react! May God help us all.

Its simple:
(1) feeding system: eat healthy food by taking clean carbs, fruits including oily, dry and acidic, feed on protein from good sources. Note that eating small amount of meal several times daily is good to avoid stomach fat. And always learn to reboot your system quarterly or yearly as this will help avoid disease and lethargy.

2) Excercise sytem: The body is splited into two the upper body and lower body. Learn to incorporate excercise within your daily life, it isn't how long you excercise but how well and frequent you do it there are number of workout routines out there fitness trainers use, do a little search. Generally workout include; cardios, weight training and muscle building. It is believed that doing occasional cardio excercise can boost general health while mild muscle building can help stay fit and strong.

3) Mental Health and Psych. System: learn to release stress by Meditation and journaling is one way to drop stress levels and stay on top, constant mental stimulation from daily activities, human endeavours and communications are ways mental stress build up, so learn to go solo atimes (The world can wait for a moment)
in addition putting our cognition into use can get rid of dementia as we age, get a new skill, take new hobbies and put the mind and memory to use by memorising random facts and data and recalling them can make you stay sharp and smart.

Lastly: humanity is divided into three phases of existence includes: Physical, Psychologyical and Spiritual. Developing any one of these while ignoring others may be underliving ones life, working on all phases to optimum level is perfection that is health! And it is definition of enlightenment. Always learn to pray and lead a minimalist lifestyle. No matter what you do and how well & long you live. We all must eventually die. Just enjoy the curse.! Hehe.
