Humanoid01:

Please get rid of this mindset that heaven is a boring place. The concept of boredom is not applicable there. It's a place of ABSOLUTE peace, joy, freedom, and any other positive emotion you can think of that the world can't give you. Hell offers the exact opposite. Having these has nothing to do with being bored or entertained.

I don't think it's a boring place....the concept of living forever is vague and unreal....

you should do away with your *greed* and make the most of this life that was given to you.... instead of waiting to live forever.

Sports / Chelsea Agree Werner Deal by Humblebloke(m): 4:59am On Jun 05, 2020
Chelsea have agreed a deal in principle to sign Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.

The Germany international striker has a €55m (£49.4m) release clause which expires on Monday June 15.

Chelsea have offered a £200,000-a-week contract to Werner, who also interested Liverpool and Manchester United.

He had publicly indicated his preference to move to Premier League leaders Liverpool but they were unwilling to pay the release clause in the current climate.

That allowed Chelsea to move in for their number one forward target, and the 24-year-old is happy to play for Frank Lampard's side. His priority has always been to sign for a Champions League club where he can play regularly

Werner is set to join Hakim Ziyech, who is joining from Ajax for £33m on July 1, as new additions at Stamford Bridge this summer following their transfer ban being lifted by FIFA in December last year.

"Werner's name has long been linked with Liverpool, but they were not the only Premier League club said to be monitoring him.

"It is hardly surprising that he is a player in demand. Over the course of the last four years with RB Leipzig, the 24-year-old has established himself as one of the most exciting young players in the Bundesliga.

"This season has been his best yet, with 31 goals scored in 40 games so far, taking his overall total for RB Leipzig to 92 in 154 appearances. For the German national side, he boasts a total of 11 goals in 29 games.

"His RB Leipzig tally for this season includes four goals in the Champions League, one of which came during Leipzig's 1-0 win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in February.

"The majority of Werner's goals have come from the central striking position this season, but he is tactically flexible - RB Leipzig have used nine different formations in the Bundesliga this season - and he is also comfortable playing in wide positions, particularly when cutting inside from the left.

"Another factor in Werner's favour is his age. The forward has already amassed closed to 300 senior appearances since making his professional debut for Stuttgart in 2013, but he only turned 24 in March."

Sports / Coronavirus: English Football Extends Suspension To April 30 by Humblebloke(m): 3:25pm On Mar 19, 2020
The suspension of the English football league has been extended.

Liverpool are currently 25 points clear at the top of the Premier League, with Manchester City their nearest challengers

English football will not return until April 30 "at the earliest", it has been decided at an emergency meeting between Premier League clubs, but the 2019/20 season will be extended indefinitely.

Officials from all 20 English top-flight clubs spoke over a conference call on Thursday morning to co-ordinate a strategy for completing the fixture list in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic which has led to the suspension of almost all sport.

It has been decided that the Premier League, the EFL and women's football will continue to be suspended until April 30 "at the earliest".

The deadline for returning to action has also been extended indefinitely as part of an agreement with the FA.

A statement after the meeting, published by the Premier League said: "The FA, Premier League, EFL and women's professional game, together with the PFA and LMA, understand we are in unprecedented times and our thoughts are with everyone affected by COVID-19.

"We are united in our commitment to finding ways of resuming the 2019/20 football season and ensuring all domestic and European club league and cup matches are played as soon as it is safe and possible to do so.

"We have collectively supported UEFA in postponing EURO 2020 to create space in the calendar to ensure domestic and European club league and cup matches have an increased opportunity to be played and, in doing so, maintain the integrity of each competition.

"The FA's rules and regulations state that "the season shall terminate not later than the 1 June" and "each competition shall, within the limit laid down by The FA, determine the length of its own playing season".
"However, The FA's Board has agreed for this limit to be extended indefinitely for the 2019/20 season in relation to Professional Football.

"Additionally, we have collectively agreed that the professional game in England will be further postponed until no earlier than 30 April."

That's one of the primary reasons this country will remain undeveloped. In a country where youths and affluent citizens prioritize and sponsor frivolities like BBnaija over science competitions, how would creativity be harnessed in students for future development? And let no one quote me on how that's done in civilized countries these days as well. Those countries can afford to focus on entertainment now because some of their compatriots (either Living or dead) have laid down a strong foundation for them to fall back on. Where are our Einsteins in Nigeria? Where are our Max Plank and Isaac Newton? Where are our Tesla and Edison?
If someone critically analyze the kind of precarious situation we've found ourselves in this nation and thereafter considers the indifferent attitude of youths. It wouldn't take a genius to figure out that this country is heading for doom and gloom

unfortunately.... you are right
