What about if you were served good football in the 3 Matches played but couldn't make it to the next Round?!

Would you expect the Super Eagles to serve you good football in Russia, or qualify from the Group with boring football?!
Abusule007 quest wasn't too much...
how do you expect someone to sit glued to the TV to watch trash...
though they've been trying...but their final touches and attack is still very poor....

We expect more from them...because they're Nigerians...in a country of 170m people...we can offer more being that football is like a household sport in Nigeria

There's something positive I've noticed about the CHAN EAGLES and that is their good passing rate. I love their short passes. The only thing they lack which is very vital is that killer instinct to score goals. Hopefully they'll improve on that.
what did you see bro...?
I have been watching their matches...apart from the defense dont think there is anythinh spectacular about this team.

What a pity Adeleye didn't make it due to injury cos i remember against Ghana in the WAFU final the moment Adeleye got injured Eze was exposed and we conceded four goals.

I watched Orji during NPFL invitational tournament the guy looked okay and so far look calmed than Eze.Eze seems to be overwhelmed occasionally.

I remember icon4s said this about him during WAFU and you are saying the same thing again and i noticed it too but good is going to Europe where he would be polished.
not all European league polish players...
sir...hope you know he is going to Bulgaria...?
and i doubt if they can help build his career...because i do know so many Africa players career have meet their dead end in such obsecure leagues....

At least now u even have your own NPFL player that u are biased for.

Orji was better than Eze to me. Eze was rash and he gave away the corner that resulted in the goal when he could have kicked out for throwing. I have noticed that he can get overwhelmed and make silly decisions
in the last 2 matches he played better than any other defenders...in the team

At least, he is young. There is a future with proper development.
please let's leave this young tag...
how well he will develop depends on his next career move......
a Belgian or French club will aid his development...eastern Europe is a no for me.

The team is still not very good. Equatorial Guinea is the poorest team in this group and we labored against them especially in the first half.

Okpotu is not a good enough striker even with the goal.

The positives are players like Faleye and Eze.
same falaye that played rubbish in this match....
dude wasn't impressive...

rohr should have manage this team...

this inability to score goals have been a problem since ages....but the coach have become clueless to resolve it...
why not play another striker and play okpotu in the second half if he was that his hitman.

could it be that there is dearth of good strikers in the npfl?
I will blame salisu for this woes
watching this team play shows no difference made from the wafu cup team late last year....

even Enyeama lets in penalties, there are no guarantess of anything, and really, how many penalties are we likely to concede? How many had Enyeama saved before he became first choice goalie for us?

You don't have to watch any of the players really, you aren't the coach, so whether you watch or not, e no mean, if Rohr has watched the goalies, he will know who is better. Unlike other rudiments of keeping, it's pretty straightforward to tell how good a goalie is during training.

All this Enyeama talk is getting stale, Enyeama is not God....he was at three World Cups, and all his saves did not help us go farther than Round of 16. He is not the key to anything, the guy is struggling to save what is left of his career as it is
I am not canvassing for the recall of a non-active goal keeper..all i am sayn is I can't really say how good uzoho is probably because I have not watch him play...I think one of this friendlies he will have a full debut..I will want the friendly against England...that will be a good test for us to know more on his qualities.

you're getting me wrong......for now we are though many of us will want uzoho in goal I believe others canvassing for ezenwa are probably doing so reason because they have not really had the time to watch him play.

oh yeah, Aiyenugba. Thanks

Anyway, I don't see how Enyeama can be the immediate solution to anything or why he is even a topic of discussion these days. If Ezenwa sucks at penalties, wr have other goalies we can try. This overdependence on a player that is yet to even commit to the team is nauseating
how about in a situation during play...the opponent are favored wit a penalty kick ..
then we will.have to stick to whosoever we have on the pitch....reason why I don't want this ezenwa in goal post...
I have not really watched uzoho full debut...to know how good he is especially when it comes to PK.

enyeama is one goal keeper that got to improve wit time...

We honestly do. This can be sorted out short term if Enyeama could just agree to come back for one last time.
I don't think enyeama coming back will be possible....the best we pray for...is for the friendlies to reveal to us the best for the No 1 spot...
many here are talking of his poor handling of crosses...me fear more for the way he position himself in goal especially during penalty kicks...dude can't catch a mere penalty kick.

my fear for this ezenwa is when it comes to penalty kicks.. (PK) dude is awful.

The reason, we have a goalkeeping issue is because we have not selected the best keepers in the league.

I believe that if we objectively selected the best keepers, we will not be looking for kids like Uzoho and Maduka Okafor.

Unfortunately, that objectivity from local coaches is lacking.
you're bless for this...I really believe henceforth after the expiration of alloy agu contract...foreign goal keepers trainers and coaches should be hired instead...
many of this indigenous goalie coaches are ridden wit sentiments...in their selections.

I believe right there in the league..there is someone who can fit the vacuum of a reliable and trusted super eagles goal keeper...

Ezenwa is about the most consistent goalie in the league . He has been in the national team set up for quite a while now working under Keshi, Oliseh, Salisu and then Rohr and has gotten several exposures both in the continent and outside the continent.

This is a major edge he has over all other goalies in the NPFL.
I have always stated that goalkeepers selection is a lot more complex that outfield players selection.

There are a lot to the selection criteria.
so you're trying to defend his selection all this while even when he was not the first team goalie for his club side...

I have no issue with Ezenwa but when people start praising him unnecessarily it smells of hypocrisy. Here is a guy that has basically been on vacation in Morocco and instead of crediting the defenders we have been taken on a long journey of fibs and lies.
exactly my brother....if there is one player I think should make the super eagles provisional world cup list is....Stephen Eze.
that dude has some potentials...a very good defender in aerial duels as well....
I wanna watch him more closely before I start the call for him to replace omeruo in that super eagles list...

I never really understood this until two weeks ago when one of the physiotherapists was telling us why he left Dolphins. For security reasons I'd rather not mention the northern teams they were playing against and they were winning 2-0, early in the second half, the crowd didn't do much, they just sat still but if you look through the crowd you'd notice a quick circulation of some items, they didn't take it serious initially that was until around the 80mins when the fans started exposing the said items(he called them sickles used in harvesting rice grin). The news was immediately circulated to the ref but he said he was not going to bulge but call the match down the middle, 88mins on the clock and they had already chased away the few visiting fans and that was when my friend started thinking about his young wife and his kid and even the away team started begging the ref to award penalties to the home team
Lol...my brother...I perfectly believe all you wrote but my brother somehow will still doubt it.

I remember one kano pillars match...I watched they were loosing a goal nil @ sani abacha staduim when one of the specatators I supposed or FA official entered into the pitch slapped the ref and asked him to award a penalty...which he did even though there was no serious offense...that was how they equalised...the goal deficits....

the Nigeria league need serious overhaul I don't even support using the police for securities..they've been cases where the police have been held culpable...some police officials are even fans of some of this home teams and as such turn a blind eye to this atrocities...more still the northerners here.....don't fear the police..at all...the only force officials they tend to have reverence for...is the military...
so the military should be used for securities....the LMC should enter into an agreement wit the military...like sponsorship agreement .
