somehow: Did the CHAN team lose to any of the clubs they played against? but the Chan team is a sum of Npfl best players I suppose.... the plateau team that drew wit them...probably were without the services of some of their best players... so I expect the CHAN team to have won that encounter which they fail to do... |

Kog45: That's my opinion cos i watched six NPFL invitational tournament and I know what am saying, sometimes winning does not determine better coach. who does not know that Boboye is better than coach salisu...on the job? mind you...I will even pick coach maikaba of awka United ahead of salisu yusuf anyday anytime.... |

Dude did well in all never can tell...brother. if he keep playing well all through the tournament...he may get rohr invitation for the march friendlies....considering the fact that rohr don't joke wit young lads... |

TheSuperNerd: Na wa for you oooo.... Anyway, I no chop anything from am. But give the young lad some credits shaa. He had a good game. He slipped a few times and struggled a bit in the opening exchanges but then he grew into the game and really sent the Libyan right back to hell on many occasions.... Faleye looks a fine talent. Honestly. dude I think I was a bit selfish though.... he needs to also work more on his finishing... if the latter is worked upon...he will be unplayable. |

Kog45: Yes the young ones in NPFL deserves to be given chance cos Faleye is doing pretty well but very unfortunate Salisu dropped some young chaps for his experience WAFU boys, not see player like Omoleye baffled me cos he is better than Okpotu and age is on his side. you mean salisu dropped a younger and much Better player for okpotu? no wonder....our frontline has been poor...I was a bit surprised...okpotu can't be the best and all we can offer as a CF even though we talking of home based players.... damnnn....the coach messed that up. |

Oasis007: 4 Points.... first on the Log!
We need to be patient with these Lads. They are simply gaining Exposure, hence we should try to tolerate them as we are tolerating the big Boys.
Let's support them, hopefully they might get the Job done. Who care how it's done, as far as its a Success, other Things are Story. so the Libyans were just making mouth after all..... meaning the super eagles can beat them silly when we meet for the AFCON qualifier....being that bunch of their players hails from this team. |

The Canadian Soccer League is not sanctioned by FIFA. They are starting a FIFA sanctioned league in 2019. thanks for this info.... I really appreciate... the bolded makes me think...they gonna celebrate their next world cup qualification like the Egyptians. |

Russia 2018 World Cup: My target is to qualify from our group – Rohr
By Jacob Ajom Agains t the backdrop of very high expectations among Nigerians, including the Nigeria Football Federation hierarchy on Nigeria’s prospects at the Russia 2018, Super Eagles handler, Gernot Rohr has a very modest ambition.
Gernot Rohr The German tactician has refused to be carried away by the roller-coaster fashion his team qualified for the Mundial, when he set his World Cup target in Lagos yesterday. Asked what his target was, given the excellent performance by the Eagles during the qualifiers, Rohr retorted, “my target is to qualify from our group. That is my first target.”
Rohr who was answering questions from journalists, soon after his contract extension ceremony at the Eko Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos, said, “I pray we can beat Croatia, one of the most technically sound teams in Europe, Iceland play like us, we hope to beat them as well and Argentina who we beat last time in a friendly may not come cheap because they have known us and may want to revenge that defeat. It is not going to be easy.”
Although he believes in his team, Rohr said Nigerians should talk less and work hard He disclosed that the criteria for invitation and selection of players for the World Cup is simple. “We will look at a player’s current form and how active he has been at his club and his level of fitness.”
On that he gave kudos to Ahmed Musa’s resolve to return to Locomotive Moscow where he will be playing regularly and expressed joy over Iheanacho’s work rate during Leicester City’s 2-0 win over Fleetwood in the FA Cup match in which the former Manchester City striker scored. Players have to be fit and active in their clubs and I am happy with what they are doing right now.

Mickael2: I swear the way you misunderstand people is baffling. Did I say Traore is better than Nacho? Someone pointed out that 10mins aint enough time to make an impact, I then used Traore as an example how is that bad? compare traore 10 mins sub appearance while in Chelsea and same for nancho when he was still in man city...and tell me who was more profilic.. you did not get my point...probably the above will help. |

Mujtahida: Obviously they are not adding. I'm saying that as it stands is not too much? Considering that players will be coming off the back of a hectic season. Injuries ooo and possibility of fatigue setting in during the WC is my concern ooo. it is not too much...have you fogotten that the aim of the friendlies is also to help rohr arrive @ his 23 man squad....? some players may not get to play all the match....it will surely go round..that will afford the coach to get his pick.... keshi team of 2014 played same between may-June... Scotland,USA and Greece.... |

Icon79: DRC is definitely a good team but, this time around, they are not playing for anything. They might not even come with their A team sef. In addition, I am a little worried about playing African opposition at that stage due to injury concerns.
O pari not every time friendlies are to be played against world cup bound teams... that injury concerns is true though...I think it is more expensive to bring a European team down here...than shop for an Africa team... that may have influenced the rationale for the Congo chioce.... |

KevinDein: Not a bad set of fixtures but seriously, no South American side? Or even a central American side?
I reckon the thinking by NFF here is we know Argentina well enough that we do not need any rehearsal before our encounter with them. what's the essence of playing one... it takes a very high tactical coach to be able to make do wit inputs from this friendlies like the former US coach..who choosed to play Nigeria in friendlies just to learn one or two things about Ghana.. and truly it pays off....as they record same score line they got against Nigeria.....when they played Ghana in the world cup group fixture.....I think it ended 2:1 in favor of USA... in the case of Argentina....we have know them long enough...they're not new rivals...so what we need is to build on our knowledge of their national team to outsmart them...playing any south America side will make no difference at all.... |
