Is Kalu fit?

He didn't play for 2 months except for the last one or two matches he played at the end of the season.
just leave ROHR all because a player play for your boyhood club does not automatically give him a starting berth

Nigeria scoring with header or freekick is rare.
Expect it once in a while
and they are very tall... reason why you can say nigeria players rarely bother about personal development

Balogun raised his hand for the pass. It was given to him. He had all the time to go meet the ball. Rather he was waiting for d ball. Pls don't bring Ogu into it.
what has OGU played since?
I was expecting him to cover up the defence but our midfield is currently leaking .
no thanks to the coach for playing two slow players at the same time.
mikel and ogu

Let's view this game objectively. What has Ighalo done wrong? Mikel has slowed the game down and has been displacing passes all day. One would have expected more balls to get to Kalu but somehow he is missing. Etebo for all his work is yet to make that defence splitting pass. Ahmed musa needs to make those runs and pray that the pass gets to him. In summary, we are too slow and predictable
this game need iwobi and ndidi....

I am quite SHOCKED that after all you have read here and exposure to informed substantive commentary.

You made the proposition in bold.

Onuachu is quite possibly the tallest player in AFCON. Because he has height and most importantly aerial dominance. He has positioned himself in that area cohere has the most competitive advantage.

A ball crossed to him in that area is not 50/50 but more like 70/30.

Its a big shame that our wi gers lack capacity and cannot cross q ball properly. Pin point accuracy is simply not within thier ability.

A ball delivered correctly to Onuachu has a good chance of being a goal.

Onuachu has good positioning and spatial awareness. However can any of our wingets cross the ball accurately, with pace and pin point accuracyhuh

In his last game l don't think he got any accurately delivered cross.
because you Didnt watch the last game...
it is not about your height that tells if you're a good header of the ball...
sometimes you still need to position and add force to it whenever you head the ball...

onachu is like tall for nothing...he barely can't do that.

wow, if we are eliminated before the semis then I think Rhor should go, and we've not always had great coaches or players within that period I know Eguavoen was the coach in 2006, Chukwu in 2004 if Rhor can't equal or do better then he has no business coaching the eagles
the 2006 squad was the least experience ever and even the coach was a rockie..
but still they made 9 points from the group stage where we had teams like Zimbabwe and ghana and went all the way to the semi finals... the team eliminated tunisia the defending champions in the Qfinals....
bunch of the players were the 2005 WYC guys (siasia guys)
mind you...the coach then Equaveon never gave one excuse...
the world cup qualification he took over from Christian Chukwu after Chukwu suspension...
Algeria 2 Nigeria 5
Nigeria 5 Zimbabwe 2

he effectively utilized makinwa and martins. apam, mikel, ayila yusuf, and lots more

My bruda. When Rohr will give him d 90mins, next story will be the MF didn't create even one scoring opportunity for him.
They have condemned Onuachu immediately forgetting that the guy even falls back to help the MF in that game. Not even half chance was created for him.
Strikers shine when they re getting correct passes, not all those throway passes iwobi was dishing against Burundi.
I never expects onauchu to score any goal in that match because his positioning was poor.... you can't expect players to Give you the ball when you always position in between the defenders. ...

nothing beats good positional awareness...same is working for Ighalo only that he is not too clinical and selfish also in front of goal.....

I have watched oshimen play and I can tell he is clinical and also have good positioning sense.

so let's give him 80-90 mins to prove his mantle

U were here when I was raving about him this past season, they(Icon4s especially) said I was over rating Morocco. I have been following the boy because of Omeruo. Did u see his record breaking hattrick in the laliga? I tell u bro, En Nesryi is good. Both foot are working and he is a very big threat in the air, his positioning is KPOM also
Rohr just don't wanna offend ighalo..to be honest give a oshimen a full 90 mins with the super eagles and watch him turn it into a feast....

I am patiently waiting for my boy to get to play.......

Super Eagles Penultimate Workout: Osimhen Pushing For Starting Spot After Another Brilliant Goal, Extra Training For Aina

Super Eagles Penultimate Workout: Osimhen Pushing For Starting Spot After Another Brilliant Goal, Extra Training For Aina

The Super Eagles held their penultimate training session at the Arab Academy of Science, Technology and Maritime Transport on Friday, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Chelsea Academy product Ola Aina was the last player to leave the pitch as he was doing some kick around before going to join the players in the bus.

The versatile fullback could make his third consecutive appearance of the tournament on Sunday with doubts surrounding the fitness of Abdullahi Shehu and Jamilu Collins.

Having said that, Collins wore football boots in the training session which gives everyone hope that Rohr's prediction may come to pass, with the German earlier stating that the Paderborn left-back is set to make a return from injury vs Madagascar.

Although Shehu had an ice pack strapped to his lap during the workout, Rohr is hoping the Bursaspor defender will be available for the later stages of the Africa Cup of Nations.

Victor Osimhen is pushing for a starting spot against the Barea as he scored another goal in the practice session, a brilliant header that beat goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi at his far post.

The Sporting Charleroi star has proved a handful to opposing defenders in the last two workouts.

Playing as an outfielder, Francis Uzoho has got some good football skills in his locker which is not surprising as he started his career as a striker.

Yesterday, Gernot Rohr and Leon Balogun celebrated their birthday and the Super Eagles players can give a belated birthday present to the coach by beating Madagascar.

Their main tactics session will be held on Saturday and only 15 minutes is open to the fans and media.

Afcon: Victor Osimhen injury not serious – Toyin Ibitoye

By Brendan Umoren - June 28, 2019
The injury sustained by RSC Charleroi of Belgium forward, Victor Osimhen is not that serious and may not stop the 20-year-old from making his 2019 Africa Cup of Nations debut in Nigeria’s last group game against Madagascar on Sunday in Alexandria.
Osimhen injury There were fears that the ex-Golden Eaglets star was going to join the list of injured players in the Eagles camp when he went down after he was tackled in the team’s training session at the Arab Academy of Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, Alexandria on Thursday morning.
Osimhen was able to shake off the injury and finished the training with the rest of his teammates after receiving treatment from Eagles’ medical crew.
“Osimhen is fine” Toyin Ibitoye, the media officer of the Eagles replied when asked him about the injury to Belgium based forward.
“Yes, he might have picked a knock in training which is not a big deal but he was in training from start to finish,” Ibitoye said.
Ibitoye further added that all the players participated in yesterday’s training session apart from the recuperating duo of Jamilu Collins and Shehu Abdullahi.
Germany based Collins who has not played a game for the Eagles since the AFCON started may not be fit for Sunday’s game against Madagascar same with Abdullahi who started Nigeria’s opening game against the Swallows of Burundi but had to be Stretchered off due to injury with Chidozie Awaziem taking his place.
