Race For 'Nigerian Golden Shoe' : Osimhen Is The Man To Beat (Top Six Players)
Victor Osimhen bagged a brace for Sporting Charleroi in their 2-1 road win against Kortrijk at the Guldensporenstadion on Wednesday evening, cancelling out Imoh Ezekiel's opener in the first half before netting the game-winner nine minutes after the restart.

Following his brace in what could be his final game as a Sporting Charleroi player, the Wolfsburg loanee took his tally for the season to 18 goals from 33 appearances, and is the highest rated Nigerian player in the European Golden Shoe rankings with 27 points.

Osimhen has scored one goal more than FC Midtjylland's Paul Onuachu, who is the second highest rated Nigerian player with 25.5 points.

The Danish-based striker has one final chance to overtake Osimhen in the Golden Shoe rankings, on Sunday when the 2018 champions host Esbjerg.

Osimhen and Onuachu are followed by Galatasaray's Henry Onyekuru and FC Luzern's Blessing Eleke who have sent the ball into the back of the net 14 and 13 times respectively this season.

Though Galatasaray and Luzern have one more game to play in their respective leagues, it is mission impossible for the duo in their bid to surpass Osimhen's goal tally.

Trabzonspor's Anthony Nwakaeme and FC Zurich's Stephen Odey are joint fifth with 22.5 points, having scored ten goals each.

European Golden Shoe Rankings (Nigerian Players Only)

1) Victor Osimhen - 18 goals - 27 points
2) Paul Onuachu - 17 goals - 25.5 points
3) Henry Onyekuru - 14 goals - 21 points
4) Blessing Eleke - 13 goals - 19.5 points
5) Anthony Nwakaeme - 10 goals - 15 points
Stephen Odey - 10 goals - 15 points

I wish I could lay my hands on the journalist that day....

Musa's ability to deliver in another system tells you he still got it in him.
Move Iheanacho to Belgium or that same Russia and see whether he will not hit the ground running.
Football is not what a lot of you here think it is. Players develop these abilities over decades and such abilities cannot just varnish within a twinkle of an eye. Being that Iheanacho does not see much game time doesn't mean he also sits on the bench in Training.

And on the bolded please tell me the Firing players that were the available options. undecided
the few game time he had he misused it...

I doubt oshimen will miss that seater he got against man city...
a monkey in Nigeria will still be a monkey abroad....

you can't draw up the assumption that a player who failed to perform in England will do exceptional in the Belgian league...

the reason for nacho regression is because of indiscipline and he is not self driven... any player with such mindset will barely do well even in Indonesian league.

so how sure...are we that his presence in the super eagles during the AFCON will not go distract other reasonable and hardworking players?
how sure...are we that nacho properly understand the task ahead and is not to go have fun and joke around in Egypt?

I want Rohr to excuse him from the team and pick players who properly understand the task at hand....

none of oshimen and Paul should be dropped for him... this tournament means so much to the above named players and their development

had it been not for work permit issues he would go to England next season...

don't compare both...Henry is Everton best players on Loan same can't be said of Koyode

Vehemently disagree. Contrary to popular belief maturity does not come with age. I've come across those in 20's who carry themselves as 40 year olds and those in 40's carry themselves as 20 year olds, even teenagers. Women and Men.
exactly my current girlfriend is less 25 and more matured than the previous ladies who were above 25 I ever had things with.

she is so matured, relieved me of pressure as she is not desperate even though we are currently planning our wedding...
she is someone that makes to see with my two eyes...that ladies do send their men money and support when he is broke because of that I do my best to make sure she lack nothing.
many less 24 years are way nature and responsible than many oldies

Honestly, that's if you want peace of mind
I don't agree with this at all...
my current girl will be 24 this year...and she is more matured and well behaved than the way above 25 years old ladies I have previously gone after...or dated.

some persons tend to be mature than their age and know what they want at a very early stage....

just look for a matured mind to date and don't be carried away by their ages...

Our midfield of Ndidi, Mikel, Etebo and Ogu can cope well. This is AFCON and not World Cup
exactly and with the upcoming under 20 and 23 tourneys I am sure...we will get new recruits after the afcon for the midfield...and defense.

the problem is the goal keeping department...

I will want rohr to use EZENWA in afcon...

uzoho have lost it... that guy is not ready..
hopefully maduka and any of the under 20 goalies proved themselves to move up to the super eagles

Bros but even if salah played they won't still beat Saudi Arabia

Argentina that relied on Messi struggled to win games so Egypt that use to rely on salah will be worst
everyone is rating Egypt because of their home fans...if you watched the way these guys celebrated the world cup qualification ehh.
with that kind of fans...@ the stadium the opponent will be intimidated.

I just pray any of ivory coast, Ghana and Senegal can help us eliminate Egypt because the super eagles will struggle to play a draw under such atmosphere...

I do hope Okoye and Zaccalla will step up to the challenge in no distant time.
to be honest with you...I see those two lads
as a Long term solution to our goal keeping problem....

getting an home based goal keeper...self driven and motivated like Enyeama gonna take a while....
so for now maduka and especially Zaccala for the 17 years old to convince Agboigun means he is good.

How many Ajax player ? Only 1 Ajax players and you are making it look like they have a defender midfielder and striker from there also

So you value young boys and red bull Salzburg ?

But I am sure if rohr call up a player from there you will be here crying about how the league is Lower than awoniyi and kayode league

You value those teams winning their league but you won't value mitjyland being a champions also

Did standard Leige won their league ? I am not sure

Afcon is harder now with 24 teams

Yes cameroun won the last afcon that shows African teams are nothing to write home about .

That's why all of them disgraced their self at the World Cup and someone will also not let me hear word about Egypt that can't beat Saudi Arabia
Lol...you made me laugh so hard....

Egypt played that terrible because there was no sallah on the peace, he was Shadow of himself in that match...they are like the Libya team without salah.

but your first lines really stroke Forgiveness sha.... I can't rate some of those teams ahead of Paul's team in Denmark...not at all.

I had an issue with my girlfriend too...
she picked a guy's call at odd hours...
I called her before but my airtime got finished. ...only to call again...and saw my call waiting for minutes...she later flashed me to call back..I asked her who was that..
she was talking to...because she now wants me to end the call quickly for her to sleep...I asked who was she talking to earlier...she was beating around the bush...making jokes
only to later say it was a friend...I asked her to tell me about the guy...she started making jokes...which does not make sense...to me...because I feel if there is nothing going on she should have bluntly say it....and tell me who the guy was....
I used to tell her every lady I relate with....

I was really downcast..sometimes I just fear Nigeria ladies...to be honest.
