Philosopher1979: EGUAVON SHOULD TAKE US TO THE WORLD CUP
I read part of Eguavons interview and i realized he knows what he is doing. His actions even indicate this fact.
1. Immediately he wants to correct the problem of our lack of creativity in midfield by inviting nwakali, alhassan yusuf etc. 2. In his interview, he understands his players and their strengths and weaknesses. 3. It seems he plans to use Chidera Ejuke and Samuel Chukwueze behind a striker 4. He seems to understand the Nigerian philosophy and style of play with wingers, good passers in midfield etc 5. By the end of this afcon the problem of lack of creativity in midfield will be gone thanks to Eguavon. No team will dominate us in midfield again 6. He knows the players inside out and how to use them. He even said iheanacho is positionally confused which is a very intelligent statement 7. I have said it we just need a coach that understands us, our mentality and how to use us. 8. He has the westerhoof model which is the only model that seems to work 9. You see, foreign coaches flatter to deceive. They look so attractive but are like wind without rain. What happens on the field of play is all that matters not someone playing in Real Madrid. 10. We may hate it but our most creative players are not in the top 5 leagues and eguavon understands that. He does not mind and wants to use them. 11. In football, even if lewandoski, cavani, ronaldo and Ibrahimovic are in your attack, without creative midfeidlers and wingers, your attack will be limited. This is what Eguavon understands and Rohr does not. 12. As per the guy from the Isreali league, he may turn out to be another sunday Mba. Not all players in obscure leagues are bad. It is just by percentage. 15% of players in obscure leagues are good while 85% of players in the top 10 leagues are good. It is just finding the 15% in obscure leagues that are good that is the problem and the Isreali league guy may fall into the 15%. 14. Eguavon may not seem attractive but he will deliver at the end of the day. 15. Someone mentioned the fact that the USA 94 team did not play for the top teams of Europe but it made me smile. African born players dont get the recognition players born in Europe get early in their career. they may have to wait till after they are 25 to get into teams like barcelona, chelsea etc. But that does not make them bad. Talent is talent everywhere and a boy in Mushin can be more talented that a player in west Ham. Oga philosopher you and the people that like this post are funny.... Let's watch Equeavon team play first at least first 3 matches will give us a picture of what to expect then we can say we've gotten a coach Indigenous coaches have one problem...once you fully trust them with the job then they start invite every Tom and Jack for call ups for patry sum I can't say in other words they start issue questionable call ups and then mess up the whole team. Some start have ego issues with the players like Oliseh....... |

Yeah he is doing well with this sponsorship deals But he needs to do more currently we have no good grass root structures to unearth talents for under 17 and under 20. We ought to have a standing under 17 and 20 teams |

What baffles me is that same method he adopted while recruiting rohr...with what we got from rohr it means the system is not a complete success despite been recommended by Renowed Wenger why ply same route again this time around Keep doing something over and all over again and expect a different results Wish we can have an unbiased and corrupt free indigenous coach which is also ambitious...there will be no need for foreign coaches |

Damioduso1: Paul Onauchu likely to miss afcon next month. He suffer an hamstring injury in today game which could see him out for at least 3 to 4 weeks. Opportunity for Cyril Dessers and Taiwo Awoniyi to be recalled to the national team for next month afcon Oh so painful for Onauchu But of truth I am having the feeling Dessers will be our hit upfront come afcon if coach Austin call him up. Taiwo, Dennis and Dessers should make the list ahead of Nacho With Bassey/Awaziem and Balogun at the CB role and Ndidi and Onyeka and we have Aribo play the AM and later come off for Iwobi we're covered |

One is undecided about Nigeria for now as much as I know.So we are left with two more persons.
Please I'll be needing more names because in an expanded list of 40 persons, I'm sure calling up 8 to 9 midfielders for the preliminary preparation won't be a crime and from your list here, I can only see 6 Are you guys the one compiling the list for the NFF? |

MetalJigsaw: Eguavoen: Super Eagles Can Win AFCON 2021
Eguavoen: Super Eagles Can Win AFCON 2021
Interim coach of the Super Eagles, Austine Eguavoen has reiterated that the senior national team can lift the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations regardless of the time frame left for them to prepare.
Eguavoen made this known in an interview with Brila FM, where he said that he’s optimistic of Nigeria’s chances at the tournament in Cameroon.
1xBit
Recall that the three-time AFCON champions are pitted alongside Egypt, Guinea-Bissau and Sudan in Group D, with the team facing the Pharaohs in the opening game on January 11.
“Yes. You don’t go to war without thinking about winning. We have to also take it step by step. Most teams going to the AFCON there aspire to win it. But we have to take it a game at a time.”
N1Bet
“It’s hard to say yes or no, but we guarantee to make them happy.
“Luck also plays a part, we’ll do our own work and we are certain of the support and we’ll just take the games one at a time.” This Guy talk with so much optimism and hope I love the way he talks unlike Rohr Damn we've been delivered from ROHR at last |
