phantom:
yesterday it was uyo vs lagos then uyo vs ibadan ....now its uyo vs PH......funny people!

uyo has not even beaten calabar in its backyard,na PH??
uyo is no match for osha, aba or even enugu.
the only town in the east one will dare compare uyo with is owerri.

let uyo beat these other places before it comes for PH. thats a bit too ambitious honestly.

uyo is heaven yet the number of akwa ibom families in my neighbourhood at rumuokoro keep increasing by the day.

flyovers and roads alone dont make a city!
can uyo feed its people? no,it cant.

infact add ikot abasi, ikot ekpene and eket to uyo and it still cant match obio akpor in revenue,fun,livability.....just name it.
I Was waiting for you @ Kinematics moniker hahhahah

You Dumbo want to compare your cult hood dirty city to uyo

Bro,if u checked on my first post on this topic,i didnt really agreed to the op cos i'm an akwa ibomite and akwa ibom is still a civil service state but u cant compare uyo to owerri cos uyo is by far ahead of owerri.uyo is mostly a civil service state with few companies(no blue chip company).
Owerri doesnt have any wide dual carriage way compared to even nwaniba road, their dual carriage ways are like slimmer than abak road from plaza,no big round about such as nnung udoe round about.i've stayed there for a year not quite long and i know owerri so much.my relations inter-marry there.
But aside abj, lagos, phc and maybe kaddy city and awka to some extent,no place in nigeria can be compared to uyo
They beautiful not industrial... PH fine before?

well as an Akwa Ibomite i wont call Uyo a city yet, we are still developing, and like someone said earlier we need business parks and the seaport to create jobs and wealth cool cool
I know Abagworo has already arrived with his inbred hate for anything akwa Ibom, i hope rochas has transformed Imo to "amelika" before he looks into our affairs undecided

Why is it that non Akwa Ibomites are the ones creaming over the top regards to Uyo.

I don't give a toss about the city, but the OP is funny. Replacing Port Harcourt as one of Nigeria top 3 cities with Uyo is scary and useless.
Ok, a man akwa ibomites and the op is right..

Your observation is obvious and it is the same situation with them in phc, I have been asking a similar question too, it's only human that they will find your observation insulting, maybe you were not euphemistic in approach. But I picked a very intelligent post here, the governor is trying his best by putting up infrastructures like good road network, airports, malls and factories and I must admit akwa is one of the most beautiful state in niaja, green and well connected. These aforementioned would go a long way in attracting investors to the state and invariably change the socio economic status of the people definitely not overnight but gradually. The akwa ibom people should compel Mobil and others to position their headquaters in the state, mbok! because they are cheating the state developing Lagos with your money, that alone would make many local sub contractors and also employees, good enough the governor has built a smart building to accommodate them all. If they continue like this, the narrative will definitely change. Bottom line, the people are victims of bad governance and they should ensure the story changes.
My brother I only responded to this your essay because from the way you summarise it you really néed clarification.. The truth is the 21 storey building is to serve that purpose of bring back ExxonMobil and others back to the state.. Inshort they have even sign a 5yrs free accommodation for this purpose ok

What is amazing about this is that Akwa Ibom State is diversifying the economy while simultaneously moving Nigeria towards being more of a manufacturing nation and not an import dependent one. Remember this is a country that imports toothpicks!

So these developments are certainly a most commendable effort by the state government, lots of labour intensive projects here that will provide ample employment opportunities and boost the economy in the region even with same Akwa Ibom being the highest oil producing state in Nigeria.
God bless you.. That idiot is simply bitter that's all
