Has anyone attempted to apply for a one year visa via the evisa platform. I once did, but got 3month instead.

the invitation letter is very compulsory? how about hotel reservation can it fly? in absence of invitation

Yes, I filled the form online, printed and submitted at the embassy. Documents submitted were 1. Visa application form, 2. Invitation letter, 3. Flight reservation. Nothing more. Although I went with hotel reservation, insurance, and evidence of work - but they didn't request for it.

Other routes for these countries will take you at least a ONE yr so same as student.

Unless you work for a company that transfers staff across countries that's possibly shorter
