Lump sums somethings can send signals but if you can prove source of your income, then it's find.

I called TLS first, they stated non-significant changes can be made at the center. It's a common request. I submitted my docs today with no issues at all. I had to change my dates because the only available appointment dates were too close to my travel date. It's a common issue. I didn't have to change the details of my travel insurance as this already reflected the new date.

You could reschedule for "one time" only either by calling call center or DYI. I agree this can be done prior to your submission
But you see the changes and modifications allowable at the point of submission is a new feature offered by TLS at the center and the whole 12k talk. They are responding to feedbacks for better service.

Yeah the same thing happened to me. My travel date was so close to the appointment date. The good news is that you can make changes of your date, hotel and flight at the visa center. They may charge 12k for it.

For you to know that they read reviews on public platforms. I posted this few weeks ago when I was talking about need to confirm availability of appointments to serve as guide for filling application forms.
In totality, the essence of this , is to assuage concerns of statutory processing time which is about 3 - 4 weeks.

Take it into consideration, anytime you alter your documents or as the case maybe, effect changes at the center in Adeola Odeku, or Abuja, you are also going to change dates on your personal, company , maybe insurance letters too.

So be guided and always plan ahead.

The embassy of France or TLS needs to develop a webpage as that of VFS whereby you book appointment (to get a date) before you fill forms , this in turn gives a guide to plan your submission in accordance with processing times.

I think the retaking of passport pix is redundant cos they will still take a photo of you during the biometrics which will be lodged in their system and it's this pix that will be used to track you when you travel, except they are looking for any reason just to deny people.

These criteria has been long standing. When you enrol at the university for a degree online, you also file an application through the administrative block of the department.

During this process, you affix your passport photograph on your documents.

The biometrics is an advancement, the paper is for archiving.

Anything can happen to your online documents, the one you submit is a backup.

So put it in that context and relate it together.

If your passport is not best, they can advise you sir to retake it. It is still in your interest because visas can be rejected for attaching a wrong passport size. They have specifications. So worryless about the 12k, and pray that your application succeeds. Goodluck

I always tell people to fix their applications first with appeals first before reapplying for France visas(in cases where they get rejected)

It is a technical approach towards a reapplication OR betterstill, send an appeal to their mail acknowledging your errors and informing them of your intentions to reapply in future when circumstances change.
There are usually different approach to this visa thing depends on your strategy.[/b]

On your reapplication, ensure to attach that email copy of the appeal you sent, a recommendation letter from the police station , YES , [b]a recommendation from a police station may shock everyone, but it is good approach too and an affidavit of return drafted by your lawyer(more like a recommendation letter)

If you follow this carefully, you should score a goal this time. This is the clarity you need (Proof of sufficient ties and recommendations)

Passport arrived yesterday with 3 months multiple entry visa. 10 days for each stay - to attend meetings and conferences only.

April 16 - Application submission

April 17 - Application arrived at High Commission

April 17 - Sent Speedpost requesting for expedient processing. Mail was not received because they had started Easter break a day earlier.

April 22 - Mail man returned with the letter (11am).

April 22 (3pm) - Passport request

April 23 - Passport submission

April 24 - Passport returned

My staff evisa is still under processing.

That is what you enjoy when you're a frequent traveler, my last sa visa came in 5days too.

So, prepare and apply for a long term visa as advised subsequently. As for your staff evisa,I do hope he receives.

I'm speaking from experience. He can get the visa from France, just apply alone after few months and demonstrate socio-economic ties.

He can reapply with france but not immediately. It is stated in my submissions as an option.

What they can do is to resolve the issue of the denial with a remorseful appeal sent to nantes, france await the outcome of the appeal before reapplying to france.
Or wait for some time , gather more documents and reapply.

Valid means an existing booking. They simply check with your booking number to see if the booking still exists.

You can google the meaning of valid booking: A "valid booking" means a reservation that is accepted and confirmed by the service provider and is still within its period of validity. It's an arrangement for a specific service, like a hotel room, flight, or event ticket, that is guaranteed to be available at the time requested

It does not mean you are expected to pay for the booking. Please note that no sane Visa Officer will expect you to pay for accomodation and/or ticket when you are not sure you will get the visa. Which is why First world countries like UK and US will not even ask you for accomodation booking or ticket.

The essense of ticket and accomodation booking is to show your itinerary - not for you to pay and lose your money if you don't get the visa.

If he chooses to pay, then that's on him. In my entire life, I have never paid for any ticket or hotel to get any visa - and I have a number of them.

However, from experience when an embassy ask you to send a valid document for hotel, it is best to use a paid voucher to be on a safer side.

Technically speaking, If i am in same situation , understanding fully the stakes , i will gladly pay for an hotel for some days to get my visa.

They said Valid' , which means a paid hotel voucher, they can confirm. They know what they are doing. Technically, they should not use dummy reservations but an actual purchased voucher

State in your next application that you want a long-term tourist visa to enable you to move faster due to your frequency in South Africa.
Attach all previous visas. It will be granted. That was what I did. I attached all my previous visas to substantiate my claims, and my application was granted.
